    Alaska Roll
    Summer L.

I've seen this spot all over social media and we were so excited to try it!! It was such a cute spot! There was lots of cool lighting and stuff around the restaurant to give it a great vibe! We ordered the Alaska roll and the Baked Albacore roll and they were SO delicious!! I was really impressed with the amount of flavor in each roll! We cannot wait to come back and try some more! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the service was a little slow. We ordered a miso soup with our food and it wasn't brought out until we reminded them (after the rolls). We had also asked for ginger/wasabi, and that was never brought out (which isn't a big deal, we just love ginger). We were also a little surprised that ordering sides of spicy mayo and eel sauce was an extra 25¢. It was no big deal because it's only 25¢, but still, we have never been to a sushi restaurant that charges for those (they also bring them out in small to-go containers that are actually only halfway full). Overall, the restaurant had a great ambiance and it is definitely worth trying!!! We will still be going back to try more rolls!

So yummy!! The fish was extremely fresh and beat a lot of my favorite places! The ambiance was super ambient! The fish ratio and rice ratio was great and served super fresh. I havent had salmon that good in awhile! The Jessica Roll was SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS (10/10) The wait time was a little long for the food, but everything was fresh and amazing! Definitely coming back. They gave us all macarons even though it was only one per table! So sweet! Amazing service.

It was a long weekend, Martin Luther King Jr's holiday and went to visit our son and his girlfriend when we went to this Japanese place. It was small but it was packed. We ordered a Bento box and various California rolls. They were all tasted good and we enjoyed all of them. The servers were very attentive and checked on us every now and then. We will definitely go back here.

grand roll was so yummy, would recommend!!

I went here on a Friday night looking for a good sushi spot in the downtown Riverside-Moreno Valley area and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Grand Roll and it was good without the cream cheese. Waiter was rushing and being passive agressive. grand roll was so yummy!! would recommend, liked without cream cheese.

Welcoming and warm environment, feels like an authentic experience and especially loved the sushi bar!

    Baked green mussels

Everything I tried was so delicious but especially the baked green mussels was 10/10 hands down the best part for me !!

The food was yummy and satisfying! My favorites were the Monster Roll, Fire Roll, and Santa Barbara Roll. The Monster roll had a good crunch from the tempura. I liked the spiciness from the Fire Roll. The Santa Barbara roll had good flavor and I loved the seared Salmon on top. The service was good and the waitress helped us pick out rolls when she realized we were all going to order the same one. The restaurant is small but has a good vibe and plenty of tables. There's also a small sushi bar section.

Stopped by here and tried out a few things on the menu. Started with the Gyoza and a couple Takoyaki's. The Takoyaki's were decent, had a crunchy but soft inside texture to it. Overall not too bad, the Gyoza's were alright as well, decent flavor dipped with the sauce. The Santa Barbara roll on the other hand was delicious, warm, flavorful and just right. I also had a baked salmon roll and that was also very good. Warm salmon glazed with sauce, very good. Overall one of the best sushi spots I've had so far. Takoyaki: 7.1 Gyoza: 7.5 Santa Barbara Roll: 8.4 Baked Salmon Roll: 8.2

What's not to like about this place? But sometimes the waiting for the food can be brutal when they are backed up with takeout orders plus dine in orders. It's always a good idea to place in at least one kitchen hot food along with your sushi orders cuz hot food is made in the kitchen and it comes out fairly quick, and you can enjoy that while waiting for your order of sushi/rolls. Despite the long wait the food is always so fresh. Love it! My tummy is always full and happy.

Honestly, the line is mainly due to the customers taking their sweet time while ordering. You might have a hard time finding a table to sit at inside, but they also have outside seating. Price-wise you'll probably spend around $15-$20 per person. I highly recommend their grilled chicken sandwhich. It comes with grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato, all on a toasted sourdough bread covered with pesto and cheese. For the side I typically get the Italian pasta salad, which is always delicious. One thing about this sandwhich is that the chicken will never cover the entire bread and it will never be distributed evenly. So you will always have one half that has less chicken and ends up being part veggie pesto sandwhich, which is still worth it. The other favorite is a turkey club sandwhich on a croissant. It's basic, but also very tasty. They also carry a variety of pastries and serve Klatch coffee (brewed coffee) if you need a sweet treat afterward.

Definitely 5 stars for the breakfast Atmosphere inside is very welcoming and cute nothing fancy just an old school feel which I like Customer service 5 stars for sure. Employees have been friendly each time and they bring out food to you on the patio. Unfortunately the location is increasingly a problem at least while sitting outside. Lots of homeless people around some on drugs and some unstable. Last time I was there a homeless man threw an orange at someone who was eating next to me for no reason at all. It's not the first time something happens that feels unsafe and although there's not much the restaurant can do about it it does affect the ambience

We got the cajun shrimp, ribeye, and steak picado. The sauce in the cajun shrimp should be bottled and sold; It was drinkable! The ribeye was cooked perfectly to mid rare and the garlic mashed seasoned well. The Steak picado came in big cubed pics and very flavorful. My favorite was the seasoned veggies on that plate. Beautiful decor, upscale vibes, moody lighting, and every corner feels intentionally designed. It's definitely a place that looks like it's about to deliver an incredible dining experience. Unfortunately, the food just didn't match the atmosphere. The crab cakes were decent, about a 6/10. You get two larger cakes, but they were a little bland on their own. The jalapeño aioli carried most of the flavor, but even as someone who loves spice, it leaned overly spicy. The wedge salad was surprisingly disappointing. The lettuce wasn't very crisp, and they added ham on top of the bacon, which felt unnecessary and honestly gave the dish a cheaper feel. We ended up removing the ham altogether. The fish tacos had nicely cooked fish, but again, lacked seasoning. They also came with more jalapeño aioli, and the portions felt awkward. The fish pieces were huge compared to the tiny tortillas, so eating them turned into a full taco explosion situation. The biggest letdown was the chimichurri sea bass. For a $52 entrée, we expected much better. The fish came out completely overcooked and dense like a brick, which was extra disappointing because the chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes were actually delicious. On the bright side, the drinks were fantastic. Refreshing, flavorful, and probably the highlight of the meal. Service at the bar was also great across the board. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the night. This place truly has so much potential because the ambiance and service are already there. We really wanted to love the food as much as we loved the vibe, but unfortunately it just didn't wow us this time around.

The meat was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, which was the highlight of the meal. The rice had good flavor, but unfortunately it wasn't fully cooked, which took away from the experience a bit. The food also took a while to come out, so be prepared for a longer wait. One downside for me was the pita bread. It was very dry and hard, and not enjoyable at all. Another concern was the open kitchen. While the area looked clean overall, I did notice the cook using the same gloves to prepare food and then handle items that didn't appear clean, which was a little off-putting. Overall, Yafa Cuisine has good flavors and generous portions, but a few quality and cleanliness details kept it from being a higher rating.
