The food was good , we went here to celebrate a birthday a party of 9 which we already knew we were getting an automatic gratuity fee. There tends to be one at most restaurants for large parties. But here I noticed the automatic fee was for groups 6 and more. Which I grew up in a family of 6 and don't ever remember getting charged this fee , and a most restaurants this fee starts with party's of 8. The service was very slow , we had to wave down the server for refills and other things. Which again I feel like they probably didn't try since they were still going to get tipped no matter the service they provide. I am extremely disappointed with how my order was handled. I came in specifically for king crab, which you did not have, so I ordered Dungeness crab after being told you had specially ordered it for Valentine's Day. I was charged and waited about 20 minutes, only to overhear staff saying that you actually did not have Dungeness crab either. At that point, I tried to be reasonable and asked you to substitute two pounds of snow crab since I had already paid for the higher-priced item. Instead of correcting the mistake, I was effectively out about $43 between the price difference and the $23 tip I had already given, and then you attempted to charge me an additional $20 for the substitution. To be clear, this was not a matter of my convenience; it was the result of your inventory and communication errors. Expecting me to absorb the additional cost after multiple mistakes on your end is unacceptable. Kickn Crab is hands down my go-to spot for seafood boil in the area. It's honestly the only one around here that consistently hits--and their garlic noodles? Bomb. Easily the best around. The service is always great. The waiters are friendly and welcoming, even when the place is packed (which it usually is). I've learned to come on weekdays to avoid the crowd--weekends are a madhouse. And unless you make a reservation, good luck getting a table. We always go for the package deal with crawfish, shrimp, and clams--it never disappoints. My only complaint? They never seem to have fresh oysters, or they're already sold out by the time we get there. Kind of a bummer. Their micheladas are solid, and I love that they can accommodate big parties without a problem. I always get my seafood Kickn Style, XX spicy. It's the perfect level of heat if you like it bold. Get shrimp, maybe mussels, and cajun fries. Get the mix of all sauces and whatever, throw in some corn and you got yourself a hearty, messy meal. If you aren't getting acid reflux afterwards, then maybe you didn't stuff yourself full enough. Wait was about 40 minutes both totally worth it even leaving still a huge crowd coming in. Place is spacious and kept clean. Staff were prompt and professional. Went with the crawfish and crab legs sides corn red rice and Cajun fries. Everything came out hot and full of flavor. The lemon sauce was amazing but the kick in sauce hands down the best went mild.
