I took a screen shot to be sure this is what I ordered & I'm glad I did.

I didn't want to do this but the owner doesn't seem to care so y'all should know. I get it he's older but take your time to read the ingredients. I've placed many orders and waited up to 45 mins for a poke bowl. I'm okay on waiting as long as my order is made right. This isn't the first time my order was wrong. The first time he added so many jalapeños.I can do mild spicy but not jalapeños. I didn't say anything bc it was only 1 wrong item and I was super hungry. This time it was like 5+ wrong items. I waited 30 mins. I called to ask him, to see if maybe he mixed my order w someone else's but all he could say was "I am older man and my eyes are not good" he told me I could just remove the veggies I didn't ask for and throw them in the trash. Yes I am going to do that but what an inconvenience. Then he said, he saw what I originally ordered but the veggies he added was already in the bowl. I was super nice to him on the phone. Repeated myself 3 times but not even a "hey bring it back and I'll make right for you". I guess this is my sign to cook at home. The poke bowls are very tasty & price good. So if you eat here just make sure he adds the correct ingredients.

Food here was AMAZING! Visiting from out of town and we decided to check out this small business. Ordered the Philly, Lion King, Hawaiian, Shrimp Tempura, Caterpillar, & Salmon hand roll for $76 before tip. Portions were so huge we could barely pick them up with our chopsticks! It also wasn't just all rice and little fish, my salmon hand roll had huge chunks and everything we ordered was perfect for a party of 3. Service was a 1 man show, the owner was taking orders and making our rolls in between 3 parties coming after us, we did not wait long and he was very efficient overall and super friendly. This shop seems like it could be easily overlooked, spread the word and support this business!

I added a star to my review because I gave it another chance and ordered different items. Love the poke bowls, dragon roll, and miso soup here! The salmon sashimi was ok too. The owners are super nice and accommodating - it's nice to support local businesses. Sushi Villa has now become my go-to spot for poke bowls and miso soup.

So good! The portions are big and very fulfilling but so good, the poke bowl had a lot more than expected and is definitely worth the price. The workers are so nice as well! Very tasty and delicious

Fat rolls definitely my go to spot for a quick lunch grab. A lots of meat and topper.

I was excited to find a poke place within walking distance from my work! The overall bowl was decent. You get to pick your protein, toppings, base, and sauce. The protein (scallop and salmon) that I ordered was really fresh and tasty! I have no complaints on the poke bowl except for the price. For a bowl with 2 proteins, it was $12!! Two proteins for $12 is fine if they gave more than a few bites and more toppings! Otherwise, I felt like the bowl was way too small for what I paid for! In general, this is a decent place for poke, but the price is not worth the quantity!

"Extra sauce" was a slight drizzle on the top. Taste was horrible.

I probably have given only one 1 star review in my life and that was for a place I got food poisoning. I have only tried the poke bowl here but my if you're gonna try serving food to bring customers, at least make it decent...! I once said that you couldn't possibly mess up Poke. As long as you have fish and spicy mayo, it at least warrants you 2-3 stars. THE TASTE- horrible. I couldn't even eat half of my bowl because I didn't like it at all and I have never done that before with Poke. It was sour and vinegary in all the wrong ways. I chose "poke sauce" and "spicy mayo". Wow, there was zero flavor in the spicy mayo and I don't know what they consider poke sauce but I've been to Hawaii since I was a kid and all you really need is good shoyu and sesame. Instead I got some vinegar or something disgusting. I even threw out all the "greens" because first off, it was the hard greens like lettuce which is EXTREMELY hard to eat with raw fish (it should be the soft greens like spinach). And second off, the greens were also extremely sour. PORTION- Its alright. Price is cheap but a small won't fill ya up. The bento box my friend got was huge and apparently was worth the price. PRICE- extremely cheap. If the poke was anywhere near decent I would come back. But I would gladly spend $5 extra to have a better bowl somewhere else. SERVICE- They greet you extremely friendly but shrug off your requests.. I asked for extra sauce which they definitely did not do (as pictured). When I asked for it, the cashier mumbled and said "fine we can do it"... but nothing showed up. I don't really blame her but she wasn't clear. They also charged me $1 extra for avocado which is fine but it was not written on the ordering sheet even though some other premium toppings clearly state which is an additional cost.. and avocado was NOT one of them.. also I had a wait of 20 minutes with only 3 people ahead of me... for a bowl that requires no cooking. I am not usually this bitter in my reviews but this place just disappointed me extremely. I should have listened to the fellow Yelp reviews... I might give this place a chance for their sushi and will update my review..

Nastiest chicken teriyaki I've ever seen. Sauce was in solid globs. Dressing looks like some sort of icky orange creamy gel. No.

Not sure if this might be due to the fact that this was delivery food, but Sushi Villa just served up THE most disgusting Japanese food I've ever seen. Not eating it and got a refund. None of the food was fresh, was not well constructed, poor quality ingredients, and my California roll smelled so bad I had to throw it straight in the trash. Yuck!

The lighting is dim, providing a more elevated atmosphere. We came during lunch and surprising there was only 1 other guest there at the time. The staff seated us right away and we were able to order within a few minutes. The menu has a great assortment of sushi, bento boxes and more so if you're in a larger group, there is something for everyone. As a group of 3, my friends and I decided to split the meal family style and ordered bento boxes and a few rolls. The food came out within just a few minutes. The rolls are visually appealing and very appetizing. They held together nicely, although the spicy scallop roll was falling apart - however I do think scallop is trickier to work with so I didn't mind it. The bento boxes offered a great quantity of food for the price, so it was worth it! What stood out to me was the crisp texture of the tempura and katsu - only callout here is that the katsu was cut into thinner slices which you might not prefer if you like thicker slices. Overall, I'm glad I found this gem and I'm looking forward to a future visit!

The fried enoki mushrooms were also good, I just wish the portions were a bit bigger for both dishes. Staff was also quick and helpful going through the menu with us first timers. The noodles are the highlight for me. They're bouncy and have a nice texture. The bowl is packed with flavor. The Karaage was good, crispy, absorbed the sauce well, there were also pieces of soft eggplant as well. I would go lighter on the sauce or have the excess on the side. The sauce became overpowering the more chicken I ate. I think the Houston location had better service. This location felt cramped, loud and cold. There is only street parking at this location, there is Fentons a few doors down but there's more parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The Chicken ramen at Mensho is the best I've tried in the U.S thus far

Server and Chef were super friendly and welcoming. While I waited, the chef brought me a nice little sample to try. Really refreshing and delicious. I ordered a lychee lemonade and edamame to start. Both really good. I had to refrain from drinking and eating it all so I didn't get full before my food came. Would order both again. (Maybe add some liquor in the lemonade lol ) For my main dish, I went with the 10 piece nigiri omakase and upgraded $10 to include toro. Pieces of fish were huge and delicious. Surprisingly the toro wasn't my favorite but still was really good! The shrimp head was a nice treat! I ordered dessert even though I was stuffed cause I couldn't help myself: matcha tres leche (which I was told was their most popular dessert). It didn't disappoint! Restaurant was clean and well taken care of. They were updating the signs on the window as well which I'm sure is going to look great. If you're in the area, give them a try. The space is very cozy, quiet, almost unassuming. For a Saturday evening, there were only 3-4 parties around us. Pretty unique! I loved the beet-marinated salmon, this was nice and sweet. The green curry was interesting, though outshone by the former. TUNA TATAKI: A LOT of topping for a tataki...! Like overflowing! I liked it ^_^ But a lot of onion and texture. I mainly was curious towards the ponzu soy mayo, which didn't fail to be bright and flavorful. BACON OF THE SEA: My partner is the BIGGEST fan of salmon skin so this was a must-have. SO good. Crispy outside, tender inside, plus all the fatty goodness throughout. SAKE DON: Supa fresh!! With thick cuts. The rice is seasoned well, not too sour. I could've done without the lemon slices, but it might be someone else's cup of tea. Overall, pretty solid sake don :3 We got lucky with parking and found a spot across the street... But I'd come a bit earlier to scout out the area if you've driving.
