Steak "hibachi" (that was smothered in teriyaki sauce) with some gross dipping sauce

They got 1 star because they have Hot Sake served at the proper temperature.... after that, its all downhill! If you want to fill up on mostly rice filled rolls, spiced up with conflicting flavors and bad cuts of meat, well this is your place. Rolls are here just to fill you but theres barely any quality fish in any of them, mostly rice and fillers and suace. Steak hibachi can only be prepared "medium " i was told, but it was well done and smothered in sauce which is not hibachi at all. It was teriyaki and fatty with grissel and the server told me that it genuinely was "hibachi"... yuck! The gyoza came 3 pieces and was way over fried. The avocado salad had 3 thin slices of avocado (even tho i ordered a double order) served over a full bowl of lettuce with watered down ginger dressing. The steak tataki was gross, paper thin and a strange cut that was rubbery and drenched in same steak teriyaki sauce with slivers of cucumber. I soooooo wanted sashimi or sushi but after the crappy food and service, I will go back to Hokkaido for their exceptional quality and service. So disappointed

In Harrisonburg, VA, I have learned to stop expecting sushi quality that I am used to in NJ and NYC. Nonetheless, since I am here in town often and have sushi cravings, I find myself back here often enough since Sushi Village basically has a monopoly on AYCE sushi. For the area, I'll give it 4 stars. $22 for dinner before tip and tax, and for the variety it's not bad at all. Fair price. Pictured are the food from the AYCE menu and the AYCE menu items. They have a good selection of rolls, the sashimi roll and crazy roll were well-received. I like the chicken and shrimp hibachi and the Tonkotsu ramen to eat with the sushi. Give it a try!

I usually come here once per week. It is hands down my favorite sushi spot I've been to, not just in Harrisonburg, but anywhere! It is the only all you can eat place I've been to that doesn't skimp on the fish/meat in their sushi rolls. They are very generous with it, actually. The wait staff is always very friendly, and they even remember some of my usual items I get every time. My favorite items include the Sexy Jalapeno, the fried calamari, the Sashimi Roll, the Tuna Lover Roll, NY Steak Roll, Spicy Girl Roll, and more! I guarantee you won't leave disappointed.

Unlimited sushi is a steal! Excellent sushi, great presentation, delicious, food, and excellent service.

Enjoyed this find a short walk from the Tesla supercharger stations. Ordered 7 rolls, and eat them while waiting for car the charge. Timing worked out well.

Found this place near James Madison University (Harrisonburg VA). All you can eat sushi on Saturday. The wait was long but well worth it as the quality was good. Unlike other all you can eat sushi places that make to order, Sushi Village serving portions are good. Wait staff is good as well and made sure my drinks were full and were ready for my next order. I'll come back here when back in Harrisonburg.

Salmon/Tuna Nigiri and Tuna Avocado Roll

I typically go to this restaurant during dinner hours ($18.99 per person) because the menu offers a wider variety of sushi and appetizers. To order, you mark what you want on the menu sheet and the server will pick it up. The best part of the AYCE are definitely the appetizers with there shrimp tempura cooked to perfection. The nigiri on the other hand is mediocre with terrible rice:sushi ratio on the nigiri. The nigiri is incredibly thin loaded with rice causing me to get full faster. There is usually no wait time and service is consistently good (friendly and accommodating). They also have the capacity to cater to big parties.

Top to bottom: tun nigiri, spicy tuna roll, tuna roll, crunchy shrimp roll, shrimp tempura roll.

I came with a particular need to get something that was both flavorful but not overly traumatizing for an ailing stomach. A miso ramen fit the bill nicely. While Japanese, the menu is vegetarian-friendly and offers ample customization. My ramen was tasty, but I did feel a bit shorted by getting only one marinated tofu sheet to finish off at the end. I needed some sushi to feel full, and fortunately, their inari with a seaweed salad filling were delicious, arguably more so than the ramen. A tea from their boba menu delivered some nice chia seeds and strong flavor, albeit with an aftertaste. I wouldn't say that my bar for ramen was reset, but as a regular driver along I-81, I felt good about having made this stop and wouldn't mind repeating it.

I guess I should've known better, but the make your own drink was mediocre because the guava option was based off a not-so-yummy juice. So next I ordered a drink off their menu and it was just alright. Honestly, I'd just skip out on drinks next time, but it was New Year's Eve so.. I did try to ask our server for drink reccs but she was 20.. So, we really enjoyed our ramens. Even the veggie ramen that I ordered, with a clear broth, was quite tasty - I've had clear broth options that were less flavorful. We also ordered a few additional appetizers. We shared some bao buns which were excellent, my partner ordered some meat skewers and I ordered a salmon nori taco. All in all, a great little shop. We considered coming back later on our trip but decided to explore elsewhere.

The first thing I noticed was the parking lot was small and packed full of cars. Inside it was much larger than it appeared. A nice hostess greeted us at the door and took us to our seats. We were seated with two other small groups. The waiter came out and took drink orders. I chose a Kirin Ichban Japanese beer along with some Gyoza as an appetizer. It came out quickly. Then we ordered our Hibachi meals. I had the chicken and shrimp. Mt daughter got the same. The meals came with miso soup and a salad. The main reason my daughter wanted to come was for the show. The chef clocked all of the vegetables, fried the rice, and cooked the meats with flair. A very entertaining atmosphere that added to the meal. The food was delicious as well. My chicken was cooked properly without being dried out or undercooked. It was a great dining experience.

I went into this unique place called Beyond Restaurant and Lounge which offers a variety of cuisines from multiple cultures. I ordered 5 items: 1) Chicken Lettuce Wraps 2) Pork Bánh Mi 3) Pork Dumplings 4) Pineapple Fried Wontons 5) Summer Rolls. The pork fried dumplings were crispy, compact filling and they delicious. I was a little surprised with the chicken lettuce wraps when it arrive to the table. The minced ground chicken mixture with herbs was tasty which were served with fried rice noodles but unfortunately the iceberg lettuce didn't allow you to complete the wrap. You were only able to make 4 actual wraps and after that you just have to eat the items individually. I wish it was served with butter lettuce or something that can better cup the mixture. The summer rolls were good and generous portion filled with shrimp, pork, vermicelli, herbs and a peanut sauce. The fried wontons were stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple, garnished with diced pineapple, bell peppers served with a pineapple relish. It was different from your typical cream cheese, it was good. The highlight of this trip was their pork banh mi. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outer layer and inside was soft, fluffy filled with tender pork, pickled carrots and daikon; cilantro, mayo spread and served with fresh sliced jalapeños. After the first bite, I wasn't able to just take one bite. It was amazingly delicious. The restaurant is clean, filled with beautiful decor, has a bar, offers interior and exterior seatings, and all staff are friendly. Our server was Kim and she is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Since it's a 2.5 hour drive, it was definitely worth it. I would make another visit and try other items on their menu.

Ambiance: 5/5 The atmosphere was perfect: open, inviting, and not crowded, which made the whole experience feel calm and comfortable. The layout is thoughtfully designed with beautiful art, plenty of space to move around, and a great balance of bar seating and tables. It felt modern and elevated without being pretentious, a.k.a the kind of space where you can actually enjoy your dining experience and conversation. Service: 5/5 Paige was absolutely phenomenal. Attentive without hovering, warm without being overbearing, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure we had everything we needed at all times and offered thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced the meal. Her hospitality elevated the dining experience and set the standard for what excellent service looks like. Food: 5/5 AMAZING. Truly. I was torn between two scallop dishes, and thanks to Paige's recommendation, I went with the Sweet & Sour Scallops, and now I completely understand why they're a guest favorite. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the flavors balanced beautifully, and adding chili oil on the side took it to a whole new level. If you love seafood, do yourself a favor and order this dish... you will not be disappointed.
