Got takeout, and all my order arrived together however I was disappointed after trying a few bites. Chicken bao buns were very dry, with almost nothing on them. Pork soup dumplings were in the plastic tray like when you microwave them from the freezer, and steamed broccoli arrived cold. Ordered 3 vegetarian rolls and they arrived as ordered. Really enjoy the platters here. We ordered two different platters - one was our choice of 4 special rolls and 5 classic rolls, and the other was a chefs choice of rolls. Both were tasty and they gave a TON of wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. Portions were nice. I am also allergic to mangoes so they easily accommodated and gave us different rolls in the chefs choice than what we ordered in the other tray. Overall the rolls were pretty good and tasted pretty fresh. I would say the variety was there but overall the taste of each roll started tasting the same - each roll had a different mix of what felt like spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, crab meat, etc. Overall not the best sushi I've ever had but definitely hit the cravings especially with the party platters and the variety. Meh. The sushi was mediocre and cold (it was tempura and should have been at least warm being freshly served). The shrimp ramen soup (miso) had a very strange raw fish taste and smelled less than fresh. This is my second time giving this place a try and was disappointed again. read more

We have been customers for 3+ years. Sushi is always top notch fresh. We order at least twice a week. Its become a weekend ritual and we get catering for big events from here. We will definitely never sushi cheat. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The manager especially goes above & beyond! The sushi selection is like no other. Really wanted to love this place. I was so excited about the sushi burrito. I have had them in the past at other restaurants and have always been a good value. Here it is just an un cut roll. I got takeout at sushi x and called ahead. It was super easy to order and understand the person on the phone. They understood me easily. I went to pick up and it was very safe with a screen in between myself and the cashier. There was hand sanitizer available for use. Masks were worn. It was only about $18 for everything that I got. I so wanted to love this place. During COVID, it's been hard to find a sushi place that delivers and let's be real, after a long week at work, I don't feel like driving out to North Wales or Warrington to get my sushi to go. I also don't want to spend a fortune on sushi, because I'm a millennial and I've got a budget. Enter Sushi X... reasonable prices, good selection and they deliver on DoorDash. The answer to my prayers. Well, so far so good at least. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is the sushi itself. The taste is fine, not "off" or bad but also the flavor didn't really wow me. Fine, I'm not going to Moshulu, I'm not expecting caviar on top of my Spicy Tuna rolls, but it didn't have that full flavored pop that sushi from my local places had. It tasted more like the sushi I'd get at Wegmans or Fresh Market, you know the kind in the little plastic trays. Then about an hour after I ate, I felt sick to my stomach and spent the whole night feeling nauseous. I've had sushi a million times before, especially Spicy Tuna rolls, because I'm basic, so it's not like I'm new to sushi, but it never makes me feel bad. I figured it was just a coincidence so I gave them another chance about a month later. Same rolls, same nausea. I don't know what it is about their sushi, and your mileage may vary, but for me, I'll just have to get off the couch or hand over my wallet next time I need my sushi fix. What a GEM! Just happened to be in the area and saw the "Grand Opening " sign. First, the service was fast and very good. The Sushi was some of the best I've ever had! Loved the Godzilla Roll, but, You Must Order "The Sweet potato Roll"! That little thing brought the who night together. The Hot, the sweet, the savory flavors all worked together. Delicious Sushi. Everything was so so good. The only slightly disappointing thing was the seaweed salad. Normallly it sits on top of shredded cucumbers but it was on top of ice berg lettuce. Not a big deal but I've had a lot of sea weed salad and thought that was strange. read more

They do not enforce mask wearing in their restaurant, which is really unacceptable. Last night when I was waiting for my food to be ready, a woman walks in without a mask, and an employee acknowledges her with a greeting and doesn't say anything. The woman then sits down to wait for her order and still nothing is said. My food was completed and when I paid I told the employee for the safety of everyone you have to enforce masks. We told them we wouldn't be back. I'm in my car getting ready to leave when I notice the woman leaving with her food with still no mask or face covering. The sushi here is excellent and the food comes out quickly. The clear soup is a must try when feeling under the weather and the rolls are incredible. I love coming here to pick order and roll and soup/salad then eating it at home.
