Thanks, fellow yeppers, for this discovery! Received a warm welcome upon entry into this spot, located in an apartment complex a few blocks off Street Road in Warminster. The occupied tables early on a Saturday afternoon and the obligatory candle, flowers and saint photo behind the register area forecasted authentic Mexican cuisine. Vibrant colors from the Sarape style cloth on the walls and colorful cutouts hanging from the ceiling along with beauty products, jewelry, hair bows and small candy items for sale reminded me of my last trip to Mexico which was too long ago. On to the food: Ordered menudo and birria tacos for take away and wow! Deeply flavored, fresh, bright, spicy all at the same time. I could have that menudo every other day for a while. Lots of tender pieces of tripe in a rich, spicy broth, lime on the side to brighten it up. The tacos were awesome. Seasoned to perfection and the sauces and broth each gave a different oomph to the bite. Beef could have been a tad bit more tender. Everything was packaged nicely for takeaway with all the condiments and utensils needed. Look forward to returning.

Carne Asada

OMG. Absolutely delicious dinner tonight. No joke, quite possibly the best Mexican food I've ever eaten in my life. The chips and guacamole were excellent. I had the carne asada platter. Initially I felt the rice and beans were a bit plain but once I added the tomatillo sauce it was phenomenal. The carne asada was delicious, and even the cactus was great! (I've never had cactus before lol) My daughter had the cheese quesadilla and said they were the best she's ever had. The restaurant is hard to find since it's in an apartment complex, but it's very worth it. The service was also excellent, our server was so helpful and answered all of my questions about the sauces haha. I would absolutely come back ASAP.

The 4.9 stars are no joke with this place. Getting here was not hard but when you pull up you start to think is someone selling tacos out of their apartment located in a senior community. If you go there or have been there you know what I am talking about as it is in a very unusual area. I have had tacos in many places and these were on point. The even had lengua tacos which I have not had since living in San Antonio but I decided to get a lengua quesadilla and the guy at the register said that it is his favorite. I know why. For the tacos I went with the standard order of carne asada and al pastor. These tacos were made with some love having plenty of meat and not skimping on the cilantro and onions. The tacos come with the sauces (roja/verde) that are a nice accompanying the deliciousness but you will not need it. The quesadilla was good. I admit I took a bite to sample it and saved it for breakfast the next morning. Yes I said for breakfast. Hey good food is good food no matter when you eat. Cinco estrellas para la comida aqui. Also I like the fact that they did not mind me practicing my Spanish here. Trust me go to this place even if you have to make the drive from afar because it is worth it. No need to thank me just spread the word.

Chips and guacamole

What a pleasant surprise this place was. It was a total chance that we tried it and my daughter made me promise that we would go back soon. It's located in an apartment community and nestled between some of the buildings. It's somewhat small and narrow inside but the staff is delightful. In fact, this is a family business and Mom is the cook. It's also BYOB friendly if that's your thing. We decided to get the guacamole and chips which also came with a tasty bean dip. The salsa sauces are flavorful but not overly spicy. The guacamole was very fresh and quite delicious. The chips were firm and easily scooped up the guac. My daughter got the quesabirria tacos which come with the dipping sauce. They were the best she's had. I had the Bistec aka Mexicana. It was beef, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeño. It was delicious. The rice was great and flavorful. The host was amazingly nice and happy to share about the food and their restaurant. It was such a great experience. If you love authentic Mexican food and aren't hung up on a high-profile area or restaurant, don't hesitate and support a local small family business.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for highly rated restaurants in the area. I'm glad we found this place, figuratively and literally. It's tucked sort of away but such a good find. The service was good, the food was delicious. So many good options, flavors, and filling. Honestly very happy with the quality of food and your eyes can deceive you while ordering and then you realize you have a lot of food to consume. Thoroughly enjoyed the birria tacos. My coworker enjoyed his food and had more than enough to eat!

Tilapia quesadillas

Great food, very authentic foods. Call to verify hours at this time as they are closed for personal reasons

Perfect little local place. Great food, authentic Mexican. The daughter was the wait staff, this is a MUST eat at place if you're in the area. Here on business and I look for local places and this is it! Not fancy, just good food which is what it should be about.

Simple decor and straightforward street food menu (tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, etc.). I was in the mood for a Torta Milanesa (steak). It arrived less than ten minutes later. The beef was breaded and fried, with melted white cheese, jalapeño, grilled onion, lettuce and tomato; packed into a basic kaiser roll. It was surprisingly heavy and a bit slick from the oil the steak was cooked in. I cut it in half and commenced to consume. The steak was an easy chew and all its participants contributed well to my enjoyment. Filled me for the rest of the day. The Tamarindo drink was housemade - very sweet, yet with a sour final note. Very good and refreshing. Service provided by a young gentleman who seemed to be running the house this Sunday afternoon. He was busy, but stopped by a couple of times to check on my satisfaction. I provided a solid report. El Limon (The Lemon) has a simple successful formula for their expanding empire. Make it basic and comfortable, both in decoration and cuisine. Avoid unnecessary glitter and tourista painted tables and chairs, and remain true to your roots. With 30 shops and counting in the Montco/Bucks region, they know what they are doing. 4 Estrellas d'Oro!
