For such a small area, it's great that there is an all-you-can-eat sushi. Now that said, the sushi was subpar overall. Highlights: Upside down shrimp nigiri Rainbow roll (yes, they don't "make it right"--3 or 4 different fish inside of roll) Unagi Slender tan server dude was super nice & friendly. He upped a star. These were all pretty yum & we ordered a few orders. Lowlights: Bloated, bland rice on all nigiri & most rolls. Fish wasn't especially fresh & was cut very sloppily on nigiri. Shrimp tempura was cold & chewy (made night before & refrigerated?). Service from (Russian? Ukrainian?) guys (including owner?) was not welcoming and sparse. They dropped a star. In from out of town, I stopped at Sushi Ya after a recommendation from a local in a meeting. The outside could leave you a bit skeptical but don't let that fool you. I fought the initial thought to run to somewhere with a bit more curb appeal - but I am glad that I didn't. I was greeted as I entered the front door and took a seat at the sushi bar directly in front of all of the fresh fish and those that would be making my dinner. After a couple of minutes of looking over the menu I ordered. This place is fantastic - not sure why a few other reviewers commented that it was the worst sushi that they have ever had, I was for sure very pleased with what I was served. The food prep area is very clean and everything is prepared to order and fresh. Everyone has a bad day or makes a mistake - it is how those things are resolved that is important and how the food tastes in the end. Good sushi. Good prices. It's not super fancy and does not look like much from the outside but. It bad inside. They are not actually open till 9:30 like their door and all the pages say. I went in at 9 driving all the way from the interstate. They acted like I was a space invader saying they close at 9 even though it said 9:30 on the door. They just made excuses. Went to dinner tonight with my daughter. They make it so easy to order your food. The rolls came out quick and we're amazing. The rice wasn't packed to hard and the rice didn't fall apart when you tried to grab it. The ingredients looked feast and very well presented. We were both stuffed and were happy with our dinner tab just at $20 buck. You can't even eat fast food garbage for that kind of price. Thanks again for a great experience. read more

My family and I went here for a late dinner to celebrate my nephews Birthday. I purchased the all you can eat sushi and was very disappointed with the quality & taste of the sushi rolls I had. The service was way below standard and we all felt as if we were being rushed out of the restaurant 15 minutes prior to closing. Also, I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD ORDERED THE ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI and the restaurant tried to charge our family for 3 additional all you can eat sushi dinners on top of the single rolls ordered. To top it off when it was brought to our servers attention, he had the audacity to say "are you sure". Our 2 tickets were corrected, but I will NOT be recommending nor returning to this establishment ever again. read more

I was really hoping for a little more out of a Twin Falls sushi place. We moved here 5 months ago and have eaten at Sushi Ya twice. The first time was awful. The fish was not fresh and the rolls were bland. Tonight was a bit better but not by much. The service is always pretty poor but that could be over looked if the food was actually good. Despite hearing praise from people I think we are done with Sushi Ya. Hopefully Sushi Toyko is better when it re-opens. read more

My friends all suggested Sushi Ya, I was a bit skeptical being from out of town and reading the reviews here, but I trust my friends opinions and we went here. Oh man was I blown away. Not only are their prices better than we could ever get where I live, and being in Idaho the fish was super fresh. All you can eat sushi for $18.95 is a steal. The restaurant was very clean and service staff was very friendly. We had alot of people so we ordered a variety of things from nigiri to rolls. Food came surprisingly fast for how busy it was. I loved the Rocky Mountain and salmon nigiri. Would definitely come back again next time Im in Idaho. read more

The absolute worst sushi I have ever had. What was given to me labeled as spicy tuna was complete mush. I knew I was in for a bad meal when both the rollers were Latino. Sushi is an art, you just can't throw anyone behind the bar & expect a good product. My girls and I love this place! We love the all you can eat dinner! We get the miso soup, cabbage salad and the 12 mussels you just have to ask for but comes with, are so good! The rolls are made fresh and are good portions. My biggest issue when I eat here is that I am too full to move at the end of the meal! It's a good problem to have. read more

Much better choices in Twin Falls for sushi then going here. Seafood is OK, but the poor service will sour your appetite. If you get a russian accent server, ask for someone else as they will be hard to understand and they dont understand English very well, which screwed up my order. They hand you an order form so they dont mess up. But if your new to sushi, the staff is not going to help much. Be happy they have Sapporo, until they slap that smile off your face by giving you a bill and asking you to go stand in line to pay. Seriously? I can stand in line at the grocery store and at least the employee there will have more personality and charm than this place. read more

But had the lunch all you can eat special and I was not explained how it worked....btoget that special you had to eat at least half of your plate or you had to pay for each sushi roll.
