Dinner menu AYCE
Aj W.

Stumbled across this place while on a work trip looking for lunch, I wasn't aware it was all you can eat, but was pleasantly surprised. Rolls are fresh-made along with several salads and appetizer choices. The rolls were basic but good nonetheless. The restaurant was clean and bright, server was attentive. My favorite part though was how nice the server was, it was the day of the solar eclipse, and she was letting patrons borrow her eclipse glasses to go outside and view. Very selfless and much appreciated.

Let's start off with saying it's more of a 3.5, it's not bad, however nothing spectacular. It's sushi! We did like majority of the AYCE dinner rolls offered. It was $26 per person dinner, and $15 for lunch we believe. The price is a bonus, you'll definitely get your fill and more. Just the taste was basic standard run of the mill sushi. There was no extra flavoring in the sushi rice like real sushi. The place was clean and big with a friendly waitstaff. Would come back if very, very hungry and want nearby sushi. - Jackson and Regina :)

Terrible establishment!

AVOID!!! Trash customer service!!! I made a phone order and paid over the phone and waited 10 minutes to walk inside while waiting for the food to be made! It didn't seem too busy but I assumed it was since the staff didn't acknowledge me as I walked in As I am waiting at the front desk for about 5 minutes a white couple walks end we smile and then a waitress brings them menus, looks at me, and proceeds to seat them. I thought nothing of it, until the waitress walked right passed me and headed back towards the sushi bar! SERIOUSLY?!! So you think because I'm one person or whatever you can just not acknowledge me. I walked to the back of the restaurant to where the staff were and asked for an immediate refund. Disgusting customer service, not sure if this was racially motivated or money incited because I'm one person and they were two. How we I deserve the same customer service! What a waste of my 20 minutes!!

We got takeout from this place for Valentine's Day and we got our food pretty quick . It also was pretty good and we had quite a lot for the price. Will order again from here.

The shrimp tempura roll is a must! It's so delicious and the eel sauce ties all the flavors together really well! The california roll was fresh and delicious. If you like cream cheese, I would suggest adding it to your california roll. It makes it tasty even better! The portions are pretty decent as well as the price. There's plenty of parking and it's located across the mall. The inside is huge and very room. The service was decent. They didn't have many servers, although they were quick with whatever was needed, which is a plus.

Yes! Another AYCE fresh to order. My diet didn't need this but I did. They're in Kennesaw near the mall, in that shopping center right across with all the random stuff like the bird place and dog store. There's a private lot for the shopping center that always has parking every time I've been. This place isn't huge inside but it's quiet and friendly. You sit down and they have an a la carte menu or a buffet menu. My grandma came too so I ordered a tempura combo which isn't on the menu but I told her what she wanted and they said they'd do it - so sweet of them! So if you have special requests, just ask. They might just say yes. We gorged ourselves until it hurt and there were no regrets. Maybe 3-4 rolls a piece. Who was really counting here? The spider roll is SO GOOD Y'ALL. We also had some of their special rolls, a shrimp tempura roll, and others. I can't recall all the names. See pic for our first shared plate.

Obviously, All of the 1 and 2 star ratings are people who were having a really bad day. First off, customer service is not horrible at all, they tend to run short staffed but if you go make sure you request AJ! She is the best server in the business and is very sweet. Sushi Yu is inexpensive and delicious compared to a lot of sushi places. It's for sure worth the cost. Sushi Yu tends to be overall cheap in my experience going there (I have been probably 40+ times). They have an all you can eat lunch special that is $16 on Monday-Friday from 11-2. The all you can eat Dinner special starts after 2 and includes more options than the lunch special. People who reviewed and who complain about it ending at 2 don't know how to read apparently. Nigiri, appetizers, soups, sushi, hibachi, and alcohol. All of which are worth trying at this place. 5 out of 5 without a doubt in mind.

Great sushi at really good prices! Very friendly staff, nice decor, and a nice size menu to choose from. I recommend this to anybody and I look forward to going there again soon. Thank you Sushi Yu!!

Good sushi, fare price, unfortunately like everywhere these days they are short staffed. So if its busy be prepared to wait a little bit.

I have been to many JINYA locations and while I've had exceptional dining experiences at all…read morelocations. My most favorite is the Kennesaw location. I think it's because of the accessibility of a nice size bar. The other locations I've gone to do not have a bar. The Kennesaw location is located in a plaza with several other establishments. There's plenty of parking. This establishment is a little bit smaller than some of the other others, but they do work very swiftly and it does stay packed, especially on the weekends. My most recent visit was on yesterday as I had a day off and wanted to take time to unwind after my morning appointment. I arrived a little before noon. The bar area had only two people seated, and I was able to easily grab a seat as well. Alex was the bartender during my visit and he was extremely accommodating. My appetizer of choice: Pork Goyza My entrée of choice: Spicy chicken Ramen with extra spice and an egg Initially, I started off with a Coke zero but then said heck why not I'm off today so I indulged in a lychee martini and switched it up to a Ringo Mule (my new fave). It started to get a bit busy about 35 minutes because it was a work week and lunch hour, but it was not overwhelmingly packed. The staff worked very swiftly and greeted every single customer that came in and out. I enjoy this location. The ambiance is always very nice. There's always nice tunes playing and there's also TV is at the bar. Whether you're rolling solo or with a crew, JINYA is a nice little hangout spot. So if you're in the Kennesaw area, go check them out and thank me later. Bon appétit!

Jefferson walked by and tidied up the table w/ the quickness=*}. So, I truly appreciated his attentiveness to that. Food. The gyoza wrap was thick and a little tough... the eggplant appetizer was delish... the garlic fried rice... the egg, I didn't expect it to mixed in the rice already (image on the menu had the egg served plainly around the garlic rice).

The food came out hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. The sushi was flavorful and well-balanced, and the steak was cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. You can tell they take pride in their food and the experience they provide. This is a great spot whether you're coming for a casual meal, date night, or just craving good sushi and hibachi-style dishes. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking them out.

Came here for a birthday after receiving a discount deal in the mail. The way the deal was written…read morewas very confusing and poorly worded. It made it sound like you could not use the 50% off of sushi, but anything else was fine. Turns out there was no 50% discount at all. It was just referring to 50% off sushi days on Wednesday. There was a long wait to be seated. We were seated with another family. The chef tried to be entertaining for the first 5 minutes, but then did nothing else the rest of the time. So that was very disappointing. He did not do the "egg roll," he had trouble stacking the onions to make the "train" and so he just gave up and cut the piece out that he couldn't stack, didn't toss anything onto his hat. So really none of the traditional entertainment you would expect. In addition, anytime there was extra food after he divided it around the table, he would only give it to the other family. I was also disappointed that the fried rice was an additional charge. That is a staple of hibachi restaurants. I'm curious if no one ordered fried rice at the table, would that entire "entertainment" portion be cut out? I have not been to another hibachi restaurant where fried rice wasn't automatic as it was included in part of the entertainment (think "egg roll," heart shaped rice...sometimes with a heartbeat, etc.). Also, the steamed rice was terrible! It was too sticky and tasted gross. I never leave food on my plate at hibachi restaurants, but the rice was inedible. In my opinion he also cooked the meat in the wrong order. He cooked the steak first, which is the fastest and easiest to cook, then the shrimp, and the chicken which takes the longest to cook was last. Which meant that by the time I was almost done eating my steak, my wife was still waiting on her chicken. On a positive note, the meat was flavorful and tasted great. Unfortunately, the salad was too soggy and the soup had macaroni in it which was weird. Service was good. But overall, the experience was severely underwhelming. Would not return for the hibachi as I know of other places with much better experiences.
