Heard about this new local spot via reviews and a friend. I was in the area and decided to stop in. I ordered a few hand rolls. The Philadelphia, spicy salmon & Alaska roll. The servers were welcoming and pleasant. They checked in frequently. They customized to my liking no questions asked. I don't like minced salmon so they did chopped instead. Not many patrons today but a few nonetheless. The decor was really nice and culturally themed. The place was clean and organized. I enjoyed my time!

Ambiance & Service is great ! Passion fruit tea is delicious & bao buns are 10/10 P.S. - They also have a robot delivering take-out orders which is pretty cool

    Good but not great.

Really cool spot and worth the hunt for a parking space. The food is good, not great though the rolls are creative. I'd say 3.8 out of 5 for food, 5 for vibe and location (after you are parked)

Came for lunch during restaurant week. Interior is lovely with lots of small decorative touches. Service was good but it was the same person hosting, taking orders, and waiting tables so I can see it getting rough when it gets busy. We ended up order 3 lunch specials for 2 people: 1 Sushi Lunch + 2 Special Rolls. Lunch specials each come with miso soup or salad so ended up getting 3 miso soups. The miso soup and the regular rolls were pretty standard. For special rolls we ordered the Firecracker & Kamikaze. I loved the torched/seared salmon in the Firecracker. We also got the Kamikaze Roll on recommendation - it's hard to go wrong with a shrimp tempura roll but smoked salmon adds a little something special. Not sure I'd come for dinner but a nice place to come for a light lunch.

This area has been lacking a good sushi spot so i was thrilled when this opened. We ordered takeout so I can't speak on the dining experience but our food was the best sushi that we've had in the area.

Lovely venue, however, little chilly by the windows. But more important, I ordered a spring roll appetizer and it appeared to be a very good frozen product. My main course was the Cajun Miso Black Cod. It was poorly prepared and the taste was very disappointing. It came slapped upon a pile of cooked shredded cabbage. I could prepare this dish with fish sauce and a cut of fish from Whole Food. I sent the dish back and didnt chance a replacement. My son ordered sushi. It was mediocre at best. The wait staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They poured the sweet tea into a container from a liter of store purchased product. They are not ready for a milburn customer base.

I heard from a friend that their sushi was really pretty good. It did not disappoint. The fish was very fresh and just the right amount of fish and rice. The rolls were delicious too. Definitely will come back.

Much higher quality sushi vs the average sushi place in the area. We even had the omakase which was delicious!

Beware: we had bones in our yellowtail sushi roll! Very disappointing. Thank goodness we did not swallow them. Watch out parents.

Their food is good but there's room for improvement in some aspects. Our spider roll was very good - I am always satisfied with their sushi. My partner had the spicy drunken noodles. I personally think they are too spicy but it's totally fine for people who are spice-tolerant. My partner did comment that the dish could overall use more flavor, especially the meat. I had the yaki udon, which I was not super happy with. They advertise mushrooms come with it, which my dish didn't have. The beef was completely bland - no flavor and not enjoyable at all. The dish itself was just okay - not bad but nothing to write home about. It could've used more flavor- it was pretty bland. I likely would not order the udon again.

On my second visit, I tried the blackened shrimp and corn cakes, and that dish alone inspired me to finally leave a review. Every ingredient was so vibrant and delightful, with flavors that complimented each other beautifully. The sweet corn cakes combined with the heat of the shrimp and the creamy avocado were perfect. The various textures made each bite even better. My friend also loved the american waygu burger. The place was pretty packed around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was still pretty quick. My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.
