A new sushi and Asian/Korean restaurant in Mahwah. Plenty of parking in the parking lot behind the building. I got takeout sushi and beef Bulgogi. The sushi was pretty good seem fresh and flavorful. The beef dish was a very large portion that came with a less than large side of white rice and miso soup and a salad. The soup and salad were very flavorful and fresh. And the beef had a ton of flavor It wasn't too fatty. They used to be great. Always a bit disorganized and stressed behind the counter. But the sushi was fresh and good. But man have they have fallen. Sushi was awful recently. Tasted really fishy. The only thing that was good was our miso soup I am guessing they had to hire people to keep up. And they did. It know how to keep the quality high as the quantity grew. I love this place so much, I never order sushi from anywhere else in town. I honestly order here about once a week and it's just the best. They have lunch specials if you like classic rolls, but their special rolls are all good and so reasonably priced! They include a small house salad with your order as well. Lunch specials are EXCELLET. **Yelp states they don't open for lunch but they do open for lunch.** Make sure you are hungry because the portions are HUGE. My favorite is the Korean Bibimbap or Hwe Dup Bap (if you like raw fish) Lunch Special. The quality and taste is amazing you won't regret it. If you like specialty sushi rolls, favorites are Hanabi roll (if you like tuna and salmon) or Tuna Fashion roll (if you like tuna). Only a select one or two sushi restaurants in the area can compare. If you like sashimi, the Toro is AMAZING and won't break your wallet like at other places! For the kiddos I would recommend the chicken and vegetable fried rice. Great for adults too! So I did a one for one match between Sushigo and Jun Long here in town this week. Ordered the same thing from both places - naruto roll with cucumber on the outside; spider roll; and shumai. No contest. Sushigo, whom I've ordered from many times, always uses fresh cucumbers (not the tasteless, been in the fridge too long, ones). Sushi should not smell - and the shrimp used in the shumai from Jun Long had an obvious fishy smell. If you want good, fresh sushi, please check out Sushigo. read more

A non-sushi review. Was exciting to try their Korean food, unfortunately disappointed. Spicy Chicken dish was sub-par. Chicken was incredibly dry. Not a lot of veges, what was there was over cooked. The Bibimbap had a nice variety of veges, but not a lot of meat. Sauce was bland even with the addition of their spicy sauce served on the side. Pork and vege dumplings also bland. The key to a restaurant menu is always, "would i order this again?" and the answer is no. Hope you have better luck with the sushi. read more

We just ordered food to go and everything was excellent! We had 2 specialty sushi rolls with tuna. The tuna was so fresh and tender. This will definitely be our new go to for sushi in Mahwah. My daughter really enjoyed her udon noodle soup and I had the spicy pork ramen which was delicious. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered Sushigo to be delivered to our hotel while on a road trip last month. Sooooo delicious! We had gyoza, california roll and korean beef ramen. I was a little hesitant with the ramen because the broth was so reddish dark, but it was AMAZING and the flavor of the beef was the best thing I tasted on our entire road trip.
