Ordered for the first time on Tuesday night since I was in the area. It was the best Chinese food I've had in 10 years!!! The General Tso shrimp was spot on. Great sauce, fresh broccoli (not overcooked) and big shrimp. The pork dumplings were fantastic and the tofu/vegetable dish had great proportions and a flavorful sauce (it has cilantro which I love). Do NOT attempt to sit down and eat there. The place is dirty and has zero ambiance. One of the booths was completely cluttered with supplies and food items. A table in the center of the restaurant was unusable as the delivery guy kept his receipts there. It was very cold inside the place and I asked the owner to turn on the heat which she never did. I ordered a pot of tea which was only warm. The owner-waitress barely cr to our tanle and we adked twife for forks. The food was ok but was served warm, not hot. It cooled down very quickly due to the cold temperature of the room. They obviously cater to takeout orders because we waited an exorbitany amount of time for our meals, This was my 2nd and final visit with the same experience both times. If you are looking for a cozy place with ambiance and great service, this is not the place for you. read more

Was looking for a quiet Asian restaurant in the area, and stumbled upon Jumbo, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Didn't really know what to expect, but was looking forward to trying a new place. Walked in, and I was the only sitting customer there, but that didn't bother me (there were a handful of takeout orders, and it was in the middle of a weekday, so it makes sense). The staff were very well attentive and quite nice, actually. They were always there with more food and drink, and had an overall welcoming aura. Got the chicken katsu, which was presented very well (had a nice looking Chinese tree decoration. Wasn't expecting it, but fair enough). Chicken was a little dry, but it wasn't anything the tonkatsu sauce couldn't fix- taste was what I expected from katsu- delicious. The gyozas I got weren't bad either. Overall, found a pretty decent place with very nice food and staff! Will be back soon read more

Not what it used to be. Actually the present owners are the same owners that ran Overseas at Indian Rock plaza down the street. It seems Jumbo sold this location to the current owners and are no longer there even though they said it was a merger. It wasn't. This restaurant has a very hard time getting takeout orders right. There is always some confusion at the pickup counter. The man that usually takes your order has a very strange way of organizing order receipts. He spreads them all over the counter and I tried to figure out his system. I couldn't for the life of me figure out this system. Whatever it is, even he seems very confused when looking for a certain order receipt. Even though these folks carried over the Jumbo menu it's not even close to the taste and quality of the former Jumbo restaurant. Very disappointed by this. Food itself: 3 stars; experience with the company: 5 stars. My coworker and I ordered our food at 11am for delivery to our job at 12pm. On the phone the woman was pleasant and relatively easy to understand. The food arrived right at 12 on the nose and for $13 (plus tip) for two lunch meals with egg roles, can't complain. The food was piping hot so for that, 5 stars. My coworker got the chicken and broccoli and I got the sweet and sour chicken. We both got egg rolls instead of soup as part of the lunch special. Sweet and sour chicken: I was a little surprised to see that the chicken already had a sauce on it. Usually you get breaded chicken with sauce on the side. It tasted good and the pork fried rice was just how I like it but because the chicken was breaded and covered in sauce, the breeding peeled right off and it was pretty easy to tell how much of my meal was just bread. I was happy to see, though, that the chicken was all white meat and pretty good sizes. My egg roll, though, was way overcooked. Not to the point of burned, but not how you expect an egg roll. Chicken and broccoli: my coworker said that the chicken itself was quite bland. The broccoli was undercooked and too crunchy. Rice was good according to her but again, not a whole lot of flavor. Lucky for her, she got an egg roll that was cooked properly. All in all I didn't dislike the food and I saved my leftovers for tomorrow but next time I think we will try some other places in the area. read more

I'm so disappointed with misleading menu and ingredients, specifically, the vegan Mayo IS NOT VEGAN! The cashier almost yelled at me when I asked and assured me it was, but when I came in and asked the owner to see it, then they said it was not. They tried to come up with an excuse, but they clearly didn't see it as a big deal. I asked them how they would warn others with potential food allergies and was told to just say no mayo. Instead, I am telling the public that this place doesn't care about potential food allergies and will say yes to anything just to get you off the phone. I used to order from Jumbo. They began not including white rice with their meals. I complained multiple times. So I stopped ordering from Jumbo. Everywhere else I ordered from over the next year included white rice with their dishes without fail. Fast forward to now. I figured over a year passed and I'd give Jumbo another try. Really bad idea. The 2 times I attempted to order this time around from Jumbo I was let down again. Same problem. They recently merged with Overseas Asian Bistro and the result is a confusing mess of menus and websites. There's always an issue. Again they left out all the accoutrements. And no white rice. I think they're just cheap. Just trying to save a few pennies on the orders. My last and final order was $98 of food. No white rice, no soup noodles no sauces...nothing. I ordered 2 chicken dishes. 2 quarts of wonton soup. They just suck. Pennywise and pound foolish. I'd highly recommend choosing any other Chinese restaurant. Got a really good dinner here with a friend the other day. We started with Shrimp Toast which were nicely fried and totally delicious. They are an odd little appetizer with a shrimp inside fried bread basically. They go wonderfully with soy sauce. I got the chicken and broccoli with white rice for my main course. The chicken was wonderful. It was tender, flavorful and plentiful. The broccoli was a bit tough, but not too bad. The sauce was very good. We also split a few sushi rolls. The spicy tuna (I know most people don't care for it), was really good. The fish was all fresh and tasted really good. We did delivery, so I can't say how the place looked. The driver was very quick. Driving through suffern and boom JUMBO sushi! Lets take a left here and park in the ridiculously tight parking lot! Went in with my girlfriend (we both are avid sushi eaters). We check out the lunch special menu and the prices look pretty solid. A little over $8 dollars for 2 roll and i believe it was 10 for the 3 roll. She went with the 2 and i went with me the Beef Negimaki bento box (8.50). Pretty solid prices. The miso soup was nowhere near as good as I would have hoped, pretty much just broth water overloaded with seaweed and tiny tofu squares. (was not a fan of that) My bento box was pretty solid. The beef negi maki was delicious and so was the included shumai and california roll (they only give 3 though). Would have liked more california rolls because most other places where I get bento boxes give 6 pieces instead of the 3 given here. I had some of the sushi my girlfriend ordered and it was pretty good but def not one of the best I have had. To me, the best thing about this place was their hot green tea, spicy mayo sauce and their green tea ice cream. I'd probably come back, but there are better places to go. read more

The food here is not bad and we have ordered here many times. However, our most recent order was our last. We ordered online through their website as we always do. Later we received a call from the restaurant saying they "didn't receive our credit card number and needed it over the phone." It did not sound legitimate of course so we said they could cancel the order. Miraculously they called back and said they could charge us a few minutes later. We said no as we had reordered elsewhere and told them please do not charge us multiple times. We were charged of course and called them for a refund. The last take out form this joint was really of a very poor quality. The shrimp fried rice has small shrimp that were not properly cleaned and tasted pasty. I have been using this place since it opened, but now I am not so sure. The chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce was not done right either. The broccoli was over cooked than usual.
