I ordered the golden spicy roll and do not recommend when they bring out your plate theres an exaggerated amount of special sauce on top that is made of pure mayo with a lil bit of chipotle you are better off just adding 10 scoops of mayo straight from the jar onto your plate and it was not spicy at all. The service was good the food doesn't take long to come out at all but at least for me did not enjoy this place at all. I do appreciate them remaking my order I asked for no sauce on top this time but still the sushi had no flavor. I usually don't leave reviews but this place needs to not make sushi. Not only was I extremely underwhelmed with this place but it was extremely hard to find. My GPS took me to a dead end street and I had to drive around for about ten minutes trying to figure out where it was. Once I finally got there, I walked in and approached the counter. I already knew what I wanted: the build-your-own sushi roll that I had seen on Facebook. You can choose two meats, a cheese, fried or not fried, and a crust (Sushilon, Hot Cheetos, Takis Fuego, or Nacho Cheese Doritos). I ended up getting a fried hot cheetos roll with Shrimp and Crab for my two meats, cream cheese, avocado, and cucumber. I also got a can of sprite. The roll cost around $12, the sprite was $1, and there was a $1 fee for using my debit card. It took waaaaay too long for me to receive my one sushi roll. There was around a fifteen-twenty minute wait before it got to me. When I finally received it, I drenched it in spicy mayo and eel sauce (which they have at each table). If it hadn't been for the sauce that I added, my sushi roll would've tasted extremely bland. You would think with that combination of ingredients, it would be extremely flavorful. It wasn't even spicy! I was so disappointed. For $12, I could get a much better sushi roll somewhere else. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back here. I have tried other Sinaloa style sushi here in Bakersfield and always come back to this one, the sushi is never disappointing nor is the seafood...I always order the 3 Quesos and the aguachile with callos...bomb!! They took so long I had to pack the food and take it to go because my lunch break was over. And to top it off they charge you if you pay with your card. They charged me $1 but unsure if they charge everyone $1 since they have no sign stating the credit card charge fee. (Totally illegal!) As I left I complained to the manager about the wait and card fee but don't bother as he does nothing about it and will actually hide so you don't complain to him. Oh but I do have to say is that I loved their complimentary chili peanuts! Super yum! Nevertheless, I thought the food must be good... but no! It's the worst!!! The shrimp is not fresh or cleaned out properly. And the rolls have way too much mayo in them. So if you like seafood with lots of mayo and dirty shrimp this is the place for you. We were really excited about trying this place out after hearing good reviews but where disappointed with the outcome. It was hard to find with Gps. We had to stop and ask people around Mercado Latino if they knew where it was located. The menu didn't have any descriptions of the food options. The waitress was friendly and tried her best but still forgot some items on our order but the wait was ridiculously long!!! We waited about 50 mins for our food to get there and the food came out all at different times. By the time a second sushi roll came out the first person was done eating and had to wait for everyone else. We ordered 5 different sushi rolls. The Jalapeño Roll, The Patron Roll, Golden Spicy Roll, California Roll, Guamuchil (something like that) Roll. ALL 5 rolls tasted pretty much the same and by that I mean it was pretty bland. I understand this is a Sushi Mexican Fusion styled restaurant but it didn't taste like sushi. The rice was mushy and there weren't any distinct tastes to each of the rolls. If you want good sushi don't come here. If you want something less fishy/authentic or extreme in taste, then the sushi here is fine for you. It wasn't worth the wait or the price (quality wise) the portion is pretty big so one roll can probably be shared. Was not at all what I expected but it wasn't a complete bust. On a more positive note, the shrimp tostada and fish and shrimp tacos were really good!! I'd definitely come back and try the mariscos portion of the menu but not the sushi! read more

Got the La Bomba, sooo good! It's basically all the meats wrapped into one yummylicious fried sushi roll. Portions were huge. I unintentionally made this one roll into two meals. Warmed up the left overs on a stove to regain its crunchiness which totally worked. Still just as good the next day. They have a nice variety on their menu. Can't wait to go back and try more rolls and the different foods they offer. Parking kind of sucks, but I'm sure you could park at the mercado and cross the street to get some of this deliciousness in your belly. Trust me, it'll thank you. Right off the bat, the presentation was nice, but it's true what they say 'Americans eat with their eyes' . I rather take quality over anything. I ordered The Bacon Roll which was flavorless and so bland that for the $13 price tag I almost was in a way insulted. With that price, most sushi places provide excellent quality ingredients.
