This just wasn't the case for us. I ordered the steak, which came with a green sauce and potatoes. The potatoes were delicious. The filet was more like a sirloin but was more tough than a sirloin. It was very disappointing, but more than that, when the server asked how everything was, he seemed as if he already knew the steak was tough. I ended up getting the coconut shrimp (4) instead. They were served on a bed of cooked and spiced apples along with a salad rolled up in thinly sliced jicama similar to a sushi roll. The second course I ordered was dessert. The pictures don't do the presentation justice because it is so dark, but the food is beautiful. Paying this much for coconut shrimp and dessert (basically a molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream) really left me feeling very disappointed. Would not recommend nor return.

This outdoor restaurant gives you all the romantic dreamy vibes. We enjoyed so many of their dishes. I only regret, not paying more attention to what it is that we had. I loved that they added pieces of clams to the sauce rather than just having clams standing alone in their shells. My boyfriend had mahi mahi which he said was delicious but overdone a tad. We were too full for dessert so we can't comment on their selection. Service was a bit on the slow side with our food coming out at an odd pace. I had to ask for refills, but maybe that was a good thing since I was paying, unbeknownst to me, $6.50 each for the refills. Make reservations in advance as this place fills up. With plastic chairs they should put cushions on top to prevent sweating. (Our hotel has cushions on the outdoor dining areas because it's so hot here and sitting outside can be uncomfortable without a cushion). For our meal we ordered the specials. While beautifully plated somehow it lacked a little flavor on mine. My hubby had prawns with sailfish in garlic butter. Also we were given a fish amuse bouche which had 3 chili pepper condiments. They were all very very spicy. I barely had any, like a tiny taste and my husband as well, the result later being that my husband and and I were pretty sick all night and the next day. He actually had to go to the doctor 2 days later as he was still quite ill and in pain. While There was a significant burning in my stomach from the chili acid, he believes his situation was probably some bacteria in the food which is too bad because the restaurant is pretty upscale and clean so I doubt we got it from the ice. Our local dining partners took us here and said it is a hidden gem. They were right. The chilaqueiles roja is as authentic as it gets. My eggs divorces reminded me of a small breakfast café in Mexico city. Portions are more than plentiful and we did not eat again until supper time. They some interesting dishes like lengue that I was almost tempted to order, next time for lunch! They are only opened for breakfast and lunch and they are a tad hard to locate.

Total bill 510 pesos...reasonable. Forgot to mention, there is a live performance of different dances by a sexy lady 7 evenings a week around 730pm.
