I'm going to just say this... don't send your hate mail to me. Georgias Mexican food is SO much better than Texas'! I lived in Texas for 8 years and didn't find one Mexican restaurant that I wanted to go back to. 3/3 here that I'd definite frequent. I'd say Georgia wins. I don't come here as often as I go to Puerto de Oro (it's hard to beat their birria tacos!), but our church small group has used their party taco boxes multiple times and always enjoyed that as an easy meal where everyone can customize their dinners. Definitely unique in the area for good food that's not just strip mall American Mexican food (much like strip mall American Chinese food - it's a unique and real cuisine, just not authentic to the name). Give it a shot if you're not quite ready to deal with traffic out of the Publix parking lot! read more

I used to love this place it was one of my favorite spots for Mexican food in Woodstock. But unfortunately, the last four times I've ordered from them, there have been so many mistakes that I just can't ignore it anymore. I don't understand how difficult it is to take a simple order correctly, especially when I clearly list my ingredients THREE TIMES. As someone who doesn't eat meat or dairy, I like my tacos a certain way. My last order was supposed to have refried beans, lettuce, tomato, guac and fajita veggies, very easy right? But when I got my food, all I got was fajita veggies in a plain tortillas nothing else inside just some sauces in the side and something that looked like a soup I had to drive to the restaurant to get it fixed, and even then, the experience was frustrating. The staff seemed confused about what I had originally ordered, even as I explained it again. Instead of remaking the taco from scratch, they just took my food back, added the missing ingredients, and then tried to charge me extra even though I had already paid for those ingredients in my original order ( that by the way I usually pay for two tacos around $8 that day specifically I paid almost $12 for a plain tortillas with some veggies ) I'm really disappointed because I used to love this place, but after so many mistakes and poor customer service, I can't come back. read more

I visited Susto's for the first time in celebration of my boyfriend's birthday, and we loved the spot! We ordered tacos, an enchilada, house margaritas, and he got a free icecream! The food was absolutely delicious. My tacos were savory but didn't taste *super* greasy like other Mexican places. The coleslaw on top was very refreshing, crisp, and slightly sweet. It was a delicious combo altogether. The tortillas were also fresh with a slight crunch. We loved our margaritas. They tasted like the classic kind you could make at home, but they were enjoyable nonetheless. Our waitress was also incredibly kind, and the entire staff was on board with singing happy birthday to my love. They put a sombrero on his head, brought out the ice cream, and congratulated him. It was a lot of fun! This may be the only Mexican restaurant that I'd enjoy visiting multiple times! I don't personally love Mexican food at restaurants that much (despite being half Mexican) but this food was light, refreshing, and filling! The ambiance was also wonderful with beautiful decorations in celebration of the season and everything looked clean. I recommend this dinner spot to anyone passing through Woodstock! read more

We used to come here all the time. At least once a week. The last few times we have been the service has been horrible. Today I sat at the bar while employees walked passed me several times. It took another customer getting up and going to see if someone could take care of me. Had to ask for a menu. Margarita was disgusting. And had to ask for a drink menu to get something else. Had to request chips. And at that point I had to ask if they were open even though it was 2:30. Really sad! As we used to love it here. Not the same when Susto is not there. Ashame. read more

We just recently found this spot and it's an instant favorite. The tacos are delicious with great flavor and i LOVE their corn tortillas. The customer service is fantastic. On our first visit here there was a soccer match on, and the energy was so fun instantly made me want to buy a Colombia jersey but it would get really loud when something good happened and my 1 year old was not a huge fan of the noise. Our sever noticed and brought over his daughters little ear muffs and my baby was happy as can be after. We went back today and the service was just as great. The older gentleman I assume is the owner greets everyone and you see him hustling around helping. The food has been delicious each time and the cost is so affordable. I kept seeing the ad for free nachos here, so I thought I'd give it a try. Yes, the nachos were free, and they were delicious. I ended up making them my lunch, even though I had ordered the grande steak and chicken burrito, which later turned into my dinner. It was also very good. The service was great. It wasn't too busy when I arrived, but it started getting busy after I'd been there for fifteen minutes or so. The hostess was handling the seating process quickly, and the servers were fast, and on point. It's not a huge place but it's nice. They have outdoor dining which was filling up fast on this nice mid spring day. I was dining alone today, but I'll definitely be back with friends, or family soon. Ok I wanted to love this place and it has some great things, but it isn't going to make me leave my regular authentic Mexican restaurant. First some positives...the decor inside is really cute and fun. The bar is small and very cute with both modern and Mexican fun twist. The space is clean and although very small seems to be laid out well. The patio was nice and allowed dogs. The cheese dip was the best thing here. We added jalapeños of course.Top notch and you can get warm flour tortillas to dip in it. Really good. They bring 3 kinds of salsa out. Very cute display reminds me of the old Uncle Julios or a Tin Lizzy's. Unfortunately that is the best of the food reviews. The presentation was lovely but the Enchiladas Verdes shredded chicken was a little on the dry and bland side. The cilantro was fresh but not much spice. Mexican rice was the same a little underwhelming. Beans were just ok. Now I will say the fish tacos come grilled and in this area of town that is a rarity. Kudos for that. The jalapeño coleslaw was very runny and ran right off the taco so not much to discern from that. We went on October 15th just a few days after they opened and the staff was obviously doing their best to learn timing, when to take orders, not to leave customers without drinks etc. They will hopefully pick up the groove and that will improve. They were all wearing masks and were polite. The patio is nice even though there is no view. Still nice option in this area. I hope they improve and we will give them another shot in a few weeks. read more

Stopped by here to sample around lunch time with my brother and nephew. My brother heard it was good and had interesting salsas. We had a grilled chicken taco on flour tortilla, grilled steak tacos (one flour and one on corn) and a Speedy Gonzales lunch special. The lunch special came with a taco, enchilada, rice and beans. All were priced right. We had 3 of their salsas. Most interesting was a pineapple salsa. The other two were a red salsa and a roasted salsa. The food was excellent and the service was also good. Easy to park and will go again when I'm back in town. read more

Whoever is in charge of the online orders has now messed up my order 2 times. The past 2 sundays I have asked for queso chips and a side of tortillas. And the first time they forgot my tortillas which made me very upset, but I chose to get over it. Yesterday it happened again but they gave me the smallest serving of queso to ever imagine. The takeout taco box is a stroke of delicious genius. With all the things to choose from, it's easy to find yourself adding on a few "extras" to complement your box. Stand outs include the chicken, the pineapple habanero sauce, and the corn salsa. Definitely affordable, this box feeds our family of 4 (including one teen and a 7yo) with leftovers to spare. I recommend the chips and guacamole add on, as well as suggest adding an additional side of lettuce to make sure there is plenty. read more

This is my first time dining in this restaurant. When I walked in, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is welcoming as soon as you enter and my server was outstanding. It's nice to see stafff smiling and treating customers well. This is a small restaurant with plenty of outdoor sitting. The food however rivals some of the larger restaurants. The chips come with three types of salsa . The pineapple havanero sauce is pretty good, although not everyone in my family liked the sweet and spicy taste. Try the mango chicken and the tacos al carbon with steak. Both dishes were very tasty. This family owned restaurant is worth trying. read more

I went here in January 2024 and have been multiple other times. The food and drinks are pretty good and it's a fun atmosphere. I met the owner, Susto and I complimented him on how perceptive he is. Always making sure the servers are staying on top of everything and the customers are happy. My biggest thing when it comes to the restaurant industry is service. How customers are treated. My fiancé loves tacos so tried this place out Ordered a Stella and a double vodka / diet Honestly happy with the cost of the beer $3.50 but a double well vodka soda - $12 and it was a slimmer glass seems a little on the high side Free - chips and trio salsa Appetizers - ordered tostones with shredded beef - it was absolutely delicious. Beef was falling apart and so tender, and the tostones were nice and crispy Lunch- fiancé ordered ceviche and I ordered the Cobb salad. Ceviche was good, mix of shrimp and white fish. Instead of chips they have 2 tostones which were delicious. Cobb salad showed up with no salad dressing. Waitress got the salad dressing but I realized it was missing the eggs, I didn't say anything. Salad was flavorless and the chicken tasted nasty. Might have to come back and get tacos and see what happened but honestly they need to fix their food and service read more

Where to start... The decor is stunning and the inside is full of beautiful custom pieces from San Miguel de Allende. You can see that the owners put their heart and soul into every detail. I can happily say that I have finally found salsa that is as good as the king of Atlanta's Mexican, Nuevo Laredo, and thankfully there is no 1-2 hour wait here. The red salsa tastes just like the all star from Chattahoochee but the real star is the pineapple habanero! The empanadas were to die for (as you can see they were too delicious to survive for a photo)!
