Tonkotsu Ramen we added extra pork. So so tasty

We decided to order with uber and everything was delicious and arrived hot and packaged well. The broth is my favorite and the chasu pork is so tender. Love this place.

Really wanted to try this place since it just opened. Service: the people were all very nice. The speed of food delivery is quick. Pork Broth: not rich enough, expect more flavor from a pork-based broth. Tasted better when we added chili oil to it, since the broth was missing that fat factor expected from pork. Toppings: egg was good, eel was good, karaage on the side was good. Chashu was too thin and not very fatty (a bit dry), duck was bad (too hard to chew/overcooked) We still prefer our other place thats serves tonkatsu ramen closer to home than this one (flavor-wise), but this place has interesting topping options (like unagi). Would try some of their sides, maybe, or an unagi don next time. The rice dishes might be better than the ramen. Decor/Ambiance: nice casual location - one 6-seater, 2 4-seater and maybe 3-4 2-seaters. Wasn't crowded when we went since they're newly opened.

What a brilliant idea for a moderately priced good quality Ramen Bar in the middle of Tarrytown. I've lived here many years and this is just what we need. We met our host and waiter James who was firstly and helpful The food comes quickly and is just delicious! Susuru Ramen ($15.50) is the house special - vegetable Gyuza dumplings as appetizers aomg with spicy edamame. Vegan (!) Miso Broth vegetable Ramen ($11.00) to round out our order and I can't wait to return and try the Unagi Don and Tonkotsu Ramen next time

If you are looking for a casual and favorable ramen spot, look no further! I overheard a table tell the waitress that this was better than the Ramen she had in Japan. While I've never been to Japan, I can ensure you that it is some SOLID ramen. Also don't sleep on their soup dumplings. I may come back just for those -- so good!!

My family tried Susuru Ramen. Since we love ramen and it was nearby, we thought it would be fun to try it. The food itself was fine, definitely not the best ramen we've ever had, but nothing awful either. The biggest issue was the customer service. We placed an order for takeout and part of our order was not in the bag. We called the shop and they kept insisting they put it in there. Turns out, they put it in a different order by mistake, and they offered us a gift certificate along with the missing element. It left a bad taste in my mouth that they would question the customer over something small and that they actually made a mistake over. It is much more inconvenient for us to come back to the restaurant over something small. I don't like leaving negative reviews. Since they're new and a small business, I decided to give it three stars instead of two. I think people should try the food themselves if they desire and come to their own conclusions. Maybe I'm overreacting, but that interaction felt unsavory, and the food was probably a 3 or 3.5/5 anyways.

The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The service was excellent and i did not have to wait too long. The ambiance is nice as well.

Pretty authentic Japanese style ramen. Comparable to the Ichiran and Ippudo quality. You need to try Tonkotsu and Miso ramen.

I ordered take out and my order was ready on arrival. The staff were super friendly and there were so many options on the menu. This time around, I opted for the tobokki and some mochi donuts. The tobokki serving was large. The rice cakes were dressed in a perfectly balanced sauce, alongside a ton of veggies. This perfect balance of spice and sweetness is really what made this dish stand out from other places. And the donuts were just *chefs kiss. My son and husband love these so I had to pick some up. This is one of my favorite places for this dish. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu. I'd definitely recommend this gem!

I'd describe this as Korean style food, ordering like chipotle, not crazy spicy unless you want it to be. Very approachable, healthy, well cooked food that was made with care. The spicy pork was great as was the purple rice. I missed out on the mochi donuts by seconds as the group in front of me took all they had left. The food was reasonably priced, I felt there was value had but not cheap in any way. If you are looking for authentic Korean experience, probably not the right place but this was definitely a great find and will keep it in mind for a tasty healthy option on those nights I just don't want to cook.

As many of you know I am cultured. I'm seasoned. In age and in ethnicity. Lightly seasoned? Sure…read more But seasoning nonetheless? Depends who you ask. Oh Desdemona, how unlucky you were. Oh Yelp, how lucky I am. How lucky I always am. How lucky I was to stumble upon Hawaii Japanese Cuisine on the ever industrious Warburton Ave. Saturday Farmers Market. Meredith's Bakery. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bread. If you know you know. Anyways. Out in Waikiki I learned to appreciate Poke. I once appreciated Pokemon. What's Politoed up to these days. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on your grasp of history, Poke is actually a Hawaiian dish. Japanese inspired, of course, but that's why the name of this spot is quite unique (although not catchy). Catch of the day. Rack of the day. So how'd I get here? You ask? ASK ME. Fine! I'll answer. Calm down, needy much? I'm an active guy. I participate in activities. Typically solo, I'm riding solo I'm riding solo solooooo. Man, just imagine walking down the city streets with a Walkman in blasting Les Miz. The dream. Anyways. I just got back from the island life and I was craving some fresh fish, at a sizable size with some balance of fruit, veggies, sauce and quantity for a beautiful price. And I just so happened to be running myself into the ground at the track in Irvington. Or was it that low-lying track in Hastings. The bees. The bumblebees. Maybe the hornets. It was Irvington. The bulldogs. Grrrrrr. I just ran myself into the ground. Sprints for about an hour. Bad hammy. Few months later tore the calf while calfmaxxing. Probably related. First muscle injury in a spinning dixie, gotta have muscles to injure them? Not really but that's what I'll tell myself. So I rip the farmers market. Then I rip the soosh spot, ordered online. Walked in, handsomely. Very friendly and respectful and nice staff and have been everytime I've gone since. The weight of the food in hand was ridonk so I was optimistic. I also got a few desserts down the road. Some hardbody that was completely eyeing down my grass-fed grass-finished hog at the track was somehow now across the street drinking a protein smoothie. My aura stinks of grandeur, but I avoid it. I'm taken lady. Did she follow me? Gross. What a joke. Really put things into perspective. I'm a fat slob, a professional self sabotager. But I work hard for this fat and that's what makes me a special boy. Hawaii Japanese Cuisine has the best poke in the area. They never let you down. I never let you down. Benvolio. As your voice of reason, I reason you to give it a go. A humble hero in Hastings.

I've driven by many times and never even knew they existed! I opted for the build your own bowl and what an experience. There are soooo many options for fixins and for the bowl itself. You can get 2 proteins or 3. For my bowl this time I got the 2 proteins with half brown rice half green salad with kani of course. For fixins I added cucumbers, edamame, masago, radishes, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, crispy onions, scallions, ginger and for 1$ extra avocado. I added classic shoyu which is basically just soy sauce. I wish they gave a better description for their sauces. My partner ordered the 2 protein bowl with brown rice, grilled chicken, shrimp, sweet corn and added eel sauce. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Vegetables had a nice crunch which lets me know just how fresh. Was a little disappointed in the amount of kani I got but was delicious nonetheless. Note the kani is shredded very thinly. For 16$ this bowl is a perfect little lunch.
