Finally! They're open!!! It's been a long time coming and definitely worth the wait. The staff were very welcoming and happy to see guests come through the door. The decor seems similar to the previous restaurant, though we came at night. We couldn't get a good look at the patio which was added on. The temp was around 20 degrees, so even with the heaters outside, sitting al fresco was not an option! It should be lovely in the Spring, Summer and Fall. We started with the homemade gyozas. Very nice. Then we shared a pork belly bun. Also very good. We also shared a Torro hand crafted sushi. Nice. (The only thing missing was a soy sauce bowl for dipping, tho' my partner snarfed it down so quickly I didn't have time to request one!) The Tonkatsu Ramen had a rich broth. I can see why it's a favorite. My partner had the katsu curry (chicken cutlet with a yellow curry). He enjoyed it. Hot sake hit the spot and the ice water was served in metal cups. Nice touch. We're looking forward to sampling all of the sushi rolls in the coming months. Good luck guys! Welcome to Sleepy Hollow!!

WOW!! Wished I'd tried this place sooner!! Inside and outside seating, very clean and decorated nicely. The food?? Really good!! My party had The Westchester, the pork buns, and sushi sampler. I had the vegetarian ramen and it was amazing!! A tiny bit too salty but nothing a little water couldn't fix. Mochi for dessert and great service!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Came for lunch as soon as we heard it was finally open. It was worth the wait! Chicken Katsu Curry was rich and the chicken was very crispy. Ramen was fresh and well balanced. Will definitely come back!

    Spicy scallop crunch roll

Went for lunch, got a salmon roll lunch and spicy scallop crunch roll. Food is fresh. Service was good. They forgot my soup but brought it out once I mentioned it. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

You choose your protein (pork, chicken, tofu...) and base (rice, purple rice, salad greens) and then go from there with tons of veggies and delicious sauces. (I get all three sauces because why choose when they're all good?!) Service is fast and friendly, and there have other yummy Korean specialties. They offer mochi and bubble tea as well. It's a comfortable place and you bus your own table. A few years ago, they temporarily closed and I was so sad to lose one of my favorite reasons to go to Tarrytown. I'm still overjoyed to have them back!

My favorite bowl is salad and a little purple rice as my base. Spicy pork is my protein of choice then literally everything with extra shredded beets. The fresh crispy vegetables combine with the warm rice and pork gives you such a nice contrast texture but balanced flavor. So if you're ever in Tarrytown, don't miss trying this place out! It my Korean Chipotle! You can thank me later.

Unfortunately, while we did have a nice dinner, the service and food both did not match the fine dining prices or the rave reviews. The restaurant itself is pretty, and we were seated in a sunny room with cute decor. Our server was nice enough, but seemed flustered and inattentive-- once we were able to flag him down for a wine list, and he just gave us the menu with cocktails and wine by the glass (we wanted a bottle) and kind of rushed away before we could ask for the right menu. I know it was busy on a Saturday at 5:30 PM, but overall service was very similar to what you would get at a busy Chili's. We ordered a berkshire pork belly, the half duck, the crab rangoon scallion pancake, and the fingerling potatoes. Everything tasted good and we enjoyed it-- but, our fifty dollar half duck was overcooked and the duck leg was SO overcooked we literally couldn't bite the meat off the bone, it was so dry it was jerky. There was no pink in the center of the duck breast and it was not particularly tender, though the flavor was good. The crab rangoon pancake was yummy but not generous with the size of the pancake or amount of crab for 24 dollars. The berkshire pork belly actually had a good texture and flavor, with a great mustard that cuts the richness perfectly, but we found ourselves wishing the mint side salad was more substantial as it was really good. I will say everything was enjoyable, nothing was bad, but at our dinner the food was not executed to a standard commiserate for the price, especially when similar dishes are available at much higher quality 30 miles away in NYC. The drinks were absolutely BOMB though, and worth the price in my opinion. Overall we did have a nice night, and nice food and drinks. But compared to any good Chinese restaurant in the city, Goosefeather does not quite measure up especially for the price.

As many of you know I am cultured. I'm seasoned. In age and in ethnicity. Lightly seasoned? Sure…read more But seasoning nonetheless? Depends who you ask. Oh Desdemona, how unlucky you were. Oh Yelp, how lucky I am. How lucky I always am. How lucky I was to stumble upon Hawaii Japanese Cuisine on the ever industrious Warburton Ave. Saturday Farmers Market. Meredith's Bakery. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bread. If you know you know. Anyways. Out in Waikiki I learned to appreciate Poke. I once appreciated Pokemon. What's Politoed up to these days. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on your grasp of history, Poke is actually a Hawaiian dish. Japanese inspired, of course, but that's why the name of this spot is quite unique (although not catchy). Catch of the day. Rack of the day. So how'd I get here? You ask? ASK ME. Fine! I'll answer. Calm down, needy much? I'm an active guy. I participate in activities. Typically solo, I'm riding solo I'm riding solo solooooo. Man, just imagine walking down the city streets with a Walkman in blasting Les Miz. The dream. Anyways. I just got back from the island life and I was craving some fresh fish, at a sizable size with some balance of fruit, veggies, sauce and quantity for a beautiful price. And I just so happened to be running myself into the ground at the track in Irvington. Or was it that low-lying track in Hastings. The bees. The bumblebees. Maybe the hornets. It was Irvington. The bulldogs. Grrrrrr. I just ran myself into the ground. Sprints for about an hour. Bad hammy. Few months later tore the calf while calfmaxxing. Probably related. First muscle injury in a spinning dixie, gotta have muscles to injure them? Not really but that's what I'll tell myself. So I rip the farmers market. Then I rip the soosh spot, ordered online. Walked in, handsomely. Very friendly and respectful and nice staff and have been everytime I've gone since. The weight of the food in hand was ridonk so I was optimistic. I also got a few desserts down the road. Some hardbody that was completely eyeing down my grass-fed grass-finished hog at the track was somehow now across the street drinking a protein smoothie. My aura stinks of grandeur, but I avoid it. I'm taken lady. Did she follow me? Gross. What a joke. Really put things into perspective. I'm a fat slob, a professional self sabotager. But I work hard for this fat and that's what makes me a special boy. Hawaii Japanese Cuisine has the best poke in the area. They never let you down. I never let you down. Benvolio. As your voice of reason, I reason you to give it a go. A humble hero in Hastings.

We still kept the Sushi Sandwich, Eel Avocado Roll, Mango Hawaii Roll, and the Pink Lady Roll, all of which have been consistently unbelievable. However, we also swapped in some substitutes for the other rolls. First, we included a Yellowtail Scallion Roll, which was a bit small, but delicious. Then, we also incorporated the Shrimp Hibachi, which came with white rice and a clear soup. The broth had a lot of flavor and contained fragrant mushrooms. The hibachi dish had a load of fresh vegetables (carrots, broccoli, zucchini, onions, and mushrooms) and a generous portion of grilled shrimp that were cooked through to the perfect plumb bites. The sauce was lighter than a teriyaki would have been, which was what we were hoping for. Yet again, it was another excellent curation of menu items.
