We get treatment in the SF facility for my dad's liver situation and occasionally need to do imaging at Sutter Health on L Street. The scheduling contact is unclear, a few months ago it would take several tries and getting rerouted to many departments for me to get routed to the correct department, so there's some improvement there from what I can tell this year. I got a call today about an upcoming liver imaging for my dad, the person on the call wanted to make sure we had a labs work done, which I appreciated. I just needed to confirm some details about the scheduling department and I am guessing the person on the other line is not from this department, she was very impatient and just wanted to shut down. Instead of addressing my questions, she repeated several times over "Ok, Ok, Ok" to my questions and just hung up. I haven't experienced health care professional with an attitude like this and feel I need to share. read more

I come here a lot and every time I'm there, they make me feel really comfortable. Doctors & techs are very nice! I get there, sign in & they'll call me back within 10 min, which isn't bad at all considering that place is always full of patients. It can get cold back there waiting for your scan but they always provide a fluffy pillow & an extra warm blanket, I usually nap in a recliner till I'm ready for my scans. This has always been the location I go to, wouldn't choose another. read more

I've been coming to this facility for a number of years and they are amazing! Also nice to see consistency. The waits are not long and the testing is fairly quick. Check in is super easy outside. they screen you and take your temp inside all non evasive and you need to have a ! Thank you Sutter for making it easy! read more

I've always had wonderful service here, having needed to visit quite often. I even advised the first gal I spoke to that I've told all my doctors to use this location as I've always had good experience until Melissa Harrison. She is a gal at the front counter where you initially check in. I had asked if they could phone me when it's my turn (1 hour wait) she advised no, they would not phone me. If I choose to leave and am not here when called I'll forfeit my place. I sat down then about 30 minutes later I heard her on the phone telling someone they would call when it was their turn. I then approached and asked why they could NOT do that for me and she repeated what she initially told me and that was a special situation. She was very rude and sadly took you from 5 stars to 2 stars. read more

First off this review is for Sutter's L street imaging facility. Today, I saw my Dr. for a bone spur issue. I needed an Xray. Well Sutter close their imaging centers near me, so I drove all the way to East Sacramento to their L street facility. Guess what, parking is restricted in their garage to cash only? So I had to back up and turn around and find a spot on the street. All the while limping on my foot that is so sore I can hardly walk on it. Street parking is restricted to an hour. There are no meters so residential parking only. I got in and asked the woman who was going to check me in how long it would take. Wait times were 1 1/2 to 2 hours? I couldn't believe it. So I had to leave without any Xray. I left my Dr. at 11:25 am and didn't get home to almost 1:00 pm due to all of the hurry up and wait and driving all over town because Sutter now only has two imaging facilities within 10 miles of me. Just frustrating. I am leaving my current Dr. after 20 years to join a plan that is not affiliated with Sutter in any way. This is not just because of Sutter but the physician's group I am under. Access to care is basically difficult at best. I am hoping Mercy Medical Group who has their own imaging, labs etc. will be a bit better. Specialists under my current plan are backlogged 2-3 mos. If you are seriously ill, you are going to end up at the ER. Sutter imaging is the same experience. You cannot make appointments for Xrays. So it is first come first served. Just a mess truly. Healthcare in general to me anymore is just a crap shoot. Apparently at Sutter Imaging, providing expedient thoughtful services to their patients is not on their radar, when you are cash only just to park? And when a patient has to wait up to 2 hours how much is that in their pockets for the parking? And BTW there was only 8-10 people in their waiting room? So are they short staffed? Just bad customer care all the way around. Also, I would add that the young woman who was going to check me in was not exactly polite. She never once smiled, and was not exactly concerned about helping me. When I said I couldn't wait because of the parking issues she just handed my slip back and said "next". read more

Dr Daniel Ichel was the doctor who had to see my 3 year old son for an esophagram which was already traumatic for my son. In the middle of him being scared and crying the dr was complaining about how many patients he had to see and my sons appointment taking longer because he was scared. This is terrible and not what I'd expect from any doctor who deals with children. We were referred to this location because you're supposed to know how to deal with kids. This is not ok. read more

I went to the Elk Grove Sutter imagining Center, and I must say I was quite nervous after my horrific first mammogram experience elsewhere. Pam was amazing! This facility is great for that annual mammogram we're all supposed to get. I've been coming here for years, and they're always professional and quick. The technicians are well trained and have lots of insight and knowledge about the procedure to help quell any apprehensions. The procedure is actually a lot more forgiving these days since they improved quality and equipment. No need to freak out since it's now "pain-free 3D", and we're all so grateful for that, I can tell you. read more

I've had 2 visits to this imaging center-- once for a routine mammogram and then again for a re-check and sonogram. From parking, to checking in, the waiting rooms, the equipment, and the actual exams-- it's all very impressive! They do 3D imaging, so they are able to get a more thorough look at everything. The staff is also outstanding and very professional. They truly take care of you and do their best to ease any nervous feelings you may be having about the process. Before any procedure, the techs and doctors explain what they're going to do and if you have questions, they do their best to answer. The exam rooms are surprisingly homey, considering all the high tech equipment inside. They offer warm blankets and the gels they use are all warm as well. If you have a choice to go to any imaging center for mammograms through your health insurance, definitely check out this place. They specialize in breast imaging so you can be assured you'll be taken care of. Another awesome thing was when I called to set up appointments, they really worked around my schedule. I was able to get in within a few days.... it was nice not having to wait (and stress) for the follow up. read more

I could never find the right words to describe the quality of care that I received from this facility and especially my care team. First the facility is very clean, and quiet, which is fantastic. These people who work here starting from reception to the care team are absolutely amazing. They are very attentive, polite, friendly, professional, and compassionate. They educate you thourghly on you post and pre care. They are some of the best people that I have been blessed to cross paths with and help with me in my journey that I face ahead of me. I have Stage4 Lung Cancer with Mets on the brain and I wouldn't have wanted a better care team. Thank you all so very much for everything that you did for me. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the facility is clean and the staff is friendly. However, I am extremely upset about the situation that occurred. I came in to have a biopsy and aspiration of two cysts in my right breast. During the procedure the radiologist nicked the cyst while he was taking samples from the mass. The cyst the size of a golf ball proceeded to drain into my breast only to refill with blood. They told me that was normal and it can sometimes happen which I accepted. The radiologist left the room and had the tech put pressure on my breast for five minutes and told us he would return in that time. Ten minutes pass and he still hadn't come back. The tech told me she was going to go find him and at that moment he came back in the room saying he forgot about me while laughing. I of course thought he was joking but now I'm not so sure. About two weeks after the biopsy the swelling had somewhat gone down and the bruising was gone. However I noticed a rock hard ball in my breast that wasn't present before the procedure. I called and they told me it was probably a hematoma so I brushed it off. The following week I noticed it was getting worse so I called and asked to come in just to ease my mind. They checked only the cyst telling me it indeed did refill and that I was fine and there was no possibility I could have an infection. They told me to speak with my doctor to discuss re-aspiration. I left feeling like they just wanted to get me out of there. They didn't bother to check the mass nor the rest of my breast and when I had asked them to they refused. A few days later my breast started getting red and changing color. After about five days I was experiencing extreme pain and discomfort. My breast also had several hard areas and was extremely swollen. I called my doctor and they got me in the next day. They took one look and immediately told me I had an infection. My entire body had started aching and I was experiencing flu like symptoms (aches, chills). They put me on antibiotics and it cleared after five days. An infection like that is serious and I feel like if they had taken a better look they could have caught it. It bothers me they told me there was no way I could have an infection only for me to indeed have one. Something like this is not taken lightly and I would love for a supervisor to speak with. read more

Great staff,clean and friendly. But 1,800 for a MRI with insurance. Sad I can get it cheaper outside my insurance and pay out of pocket. But my insurance provider will not read any outside MRI's go figure. read more

Been here several times for x-rays, ultra sound, MRI's and biopsy. The staff are just flat out nice people. They explain things and try to do what they can to make you as informed and comfortable as they can considering the testing process you are there for. Kind'a hard to make a MRI machine comfortable but they do what they can with what they have available. read more

Where do I begin? The building itself isnt too hard to find as long as you exit from Stockton. (Less complicated) Parking is available without hassle and the entrance is right in the front. I was slightly nervous, I was having a nuclear sput renal exam (Kidney functions) and wasn't sure what to expect, but the front desk staff and mellow atmosphere within the waiting room had me at ease for reasons I cant really explain. Lol, God knows. I was late for the appointment but was brought in right away, and the people who took care of me from there on out were simply AMAZING!!!! The main person overlooking the exam was Ryan (I think, sorry if that's wrong.) He was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. But before we could begin, there was some trouble in finding a vein, (which has always been a problem for me, something about valves lol) so Mimi, Joanie and a sweet doctor came to assist, I wish I remembered her name!! Boy, did I put them on a trip. It took a little while, which had me a little apprehensive but they had me laughing the whole time. Ryan (God, I hope that's his name) was cordial with a smidge of dry humor, and Joanie (one of the nurses ) was a real knee-slapper. I seriously have never had so much fun during an exam, as crazy as that may sound. And with a little praying, I finally got hooked up. They were extremely caring and super professional. Though, it didn't stop me from apologizing a hundred times, I felt guilty for not drinking more water. So grateful to them all, they were just the sweetest. :) read more

Got all the way down here after they scheduled me for an appt,, drank 32 oz of water for them to say "oh sorry we don't have an ultrasound tech available today, the scheduler shouldn't have scheduled you, it's not my fault." I cancelled another appt and had to get a sitter. Make sure you check and recheck same day appts here!!! read more

I already knew that they had a highly qualified team and state-of-the-art equipment. I went there for their expertise. I was amazed at their level of professional and compassion to me the patient. I had drastically conflicting radiology reports. The original radiologist basically lied to me about what he saw. I found out at my follow up that there were multiple suspicious areas. At this point, my doctor is appalled and the surgeon can't believe it. On the upside, the techs are great. read more

Got my mammogram at the Davis location. Scheduled ahead of time as is needed. Got there got it done. Then they send me a 600.00 dollar bill. Yes I was insured but they no longer took my insurance so I have to pay. Don't trust them to do proper checks before a procedure. Go Northbay or Kaiser anywhere where they won't trick you and do procedure they know your insurance won't cover. Very bad business practice. Avoid them. read more

Very disappointed with new change in procedure. I used to go every year for my annual "sono cine" ultrasound breast cancer screening. The ultrasound has always been an out of pocket expense, as it is not covered under my HMO. I use it now as a break from radiation/mammogram. The change now is that Sutter Imaging requires a referral from your primary, even though this is an out of pocket expense. If your primary declines, then you are not allowed the ultrasound and/or if you do not do a mammogram first you are not allowed that particular ultrasound. It was never this way before. It is extremely disheartening because I really like the location and all the staff (from receiving through the whole procedure, and definitely the women that did the ultrasounds). Some (not all) of the doctors were a bit testy (pushy and/or aggressive) when they did not get the mammogram. I should be allowed to decline every once in a while. I reached out to the "sono cine" company website to find an alternative location. I am now scheduled for my "sono cine" full breast ultra sound at Mercy San Juan Imaging in Carmichael. It cost $26 more, but I did not have to get approval, referrals, or mammogram prior. I should be allowed to be provided preventative health care if I am paying cash. read more
