This school has good instructors but poor policy and management. No consideration for real life situations/ emergencies.. You pay upfront for the whole month (4-5 classes) that's understandable. ( although not very typical for swim lessons) . There should be some are arrangement for make up classes ( atleast 1 or 2) with such an inflexible pay upfront option.. You miss 1 or 2 classes a month you loose all your money. Real life and things happen people !! Oh! I called 24 hour ago told them I am not feeling well and will be missing a class. People with kids go look for more flexible option for your kids. Even others too... Unless this school make some smart choices for customers. read more

My kid was switched classes/teacher's without notice and have lost interest in swimming. Also, I had noticed in the past that my kid was not progressing or doing a very slow progress on his overall swim lessons, and to some extent I feel that they are looking at how much classes or revenue a kid had brought in before they recommend them to the next level rather than helping them progress well and move them to the next level automatically. They don't offer any make up classes as well. Overall other parents also shared a similar progressing issue as well. On the above said situations, when we question them, they talk to you like you go deal with it, rather than trying to help or take necessary steps. My son has been swimming here for almost 2 years, starting from baby classes. He liked the baby classes, especially with Melody and Jason S. Now my son is 3 y.o., and he loves water. He is always happy after classes in the Sutton Swim School. This is a clean place, the swimming pool's water is warm. Jason S. and Simon are great, positive and professional guys. Just, in my opinion, the rate 4:1 could be reduced to 3:1 maximum, so children be busier with swimming and have less time to be bored sitting on the steps. Thank you for your job! read more

I have seen a considerable amount of improvement in my daughters since they started classes with her! My son has been here for only 4 classes and he is now be able to swim across from one side to the other. The instructor Dylan is very patient with his student and he makes my son wants to go to swimming school every week. I don't understand some of the reviews at the below. Upon registering your child to this swim school you are informed of the policies pretty clearly. I am a nanny for one of the babies that swim here on Wednesdays. Now I do not come here often as the parents usually swim with their baby but this facility is pretty clean, organized, and has a friendly staff. After a few weeks she no longer cries in the water and actually loves it. Our instructor, Andrew, is VERY knowledgeable and good with the kids. He's also not bad on the eyes ;). The pricing here is pretty fair compared to other places. I highly recommend sending your child here to learn how to swim! read more

Very nice facility, well kept and roomy. Coaches are great and know their way around kids. Also very safe. Only cons are that changing room is small and can get very crowded in the afternoon, also showers are in an open space right next to the pool which doesn't allow much privacy. read more

We love this school! We signed our daughter up so she could learn to swim and become water safe. Just a small preface about my daughter, she a but. She's one of those high energy, free spirited, hard kiddos. I suppose your typically hard toddler. So she doesn't listen very well and NEVER sits still. She's the type that will jump out off the platform while the teacher has their back turned. Now on to the teacher. We have her with Tyler and I can't say enough good things about him. He's so darn patient. And even when he has a full class he's focused on EACH kid in his class. So if your nutso toddler jumps out he's got eyes on them and makes sure they're safe. I also like how he's kinda strict with them. He'll make my kid sit out of the pool until her turn when she's misbehaving. I can say my daughter has learned more in the two-three months she's been with Tyler than she did with the previous instructor she was with. I would highly recommend if you're going to use this school you ask for Tyler! He's amazing. read more

My daughters learned their swimming from this school when it was in Cupertino (yes, it was at least 6 years ago.) The teachers, the staffs and the owner were amazing. The owner kept a high standard on the teaching quality. Nowadays in their swim club (competitive swimming) and high school, sometimes the coaches used them to show other swimmers what the proper forms should be. Well done, Sutton! read more

But my 11-year-old daughter have qualified for the Indiana Division and State Championships and so has our 8-year-old son. I love this school, the instructors and the amazing facility! I take their adult classes. I have never swam my whole life and decided to take the plunge (pun intended!) last year. It was the best decision I ever made. I was so afraid to even put my head in the water (to the point of completely freaking out) but they were incredibly respectful and patient. On one occasion especially, my regular instructor was not available and I was very nervous about going with some one else. When I communicated this to their manager, they understood my fears and the owner herself changed into swim gear and got in the pool with me! Unbelievable!! I "pulled" my daughter out of this swim school after about a month of attending, and I hope this place improved since when it opened. We signed up right when it opened, and were waiting for it to open for several months as we were informed that it WILL open on a set day, but then tiles were not delivered or something like that and the pool construction got dragged out for a few months. Later teens got hired to oversee the place and I did not like their attitude or odd behaviors, like running away all of a sudden to catch a bolting out kid, waiting for someone else (fellow employee) to do something, or acting like they are twice my age, where it actually is the other way around. Kids get sick and there was no $ recovery when that happens and kid misses swim lesson. One day there was a poop accident emergency and the whole pool got shut down for the day. The reasons why we quit was A) my daughter said she's not into this school (unlike the previous swim school where she learned something). B) The swim lessons were ridiculously short like less than half an hour C) consistent before during and after tick you off stuff. I hope all of that is past history and the place has turned fantastic in 2018. read more

I am very disappointed with the experience my son had at the school. His instructor was rude and although I could see her behavior through the glass, she didn't even try to hide her frustration. She rolled her eyes, was huffing and puffing and she even pushed him off a little stronger than was appropriate. He came out of the class upset that his instructor was angry with him--he was sad. This is bad for kids, bad for the school. An instructor at a swim school for kids should be good with kids, they should understand how to teach. It wasn't important for her to do well as an instructor and that says something about the management and ownership. read more

My daughter (3 years old) started swimming classes earlier this year and so happy we found Sutton Swim School close to our home. Registering was a breeze! My mother in law usually takes my daughter and I've been there a couple of times. The environment is very clean and very friendly. Everyone that works there is great and so welcoming. My daughter is progressing slowly but surely and always enjoys her time there. We look forward to continuing our stay with Sutton and the day Skyler learns to swim on her own. read more

The facility is clean and location is good with plenty of parking. My only concern is when we there are substitute teachers, they are way too much hand holding for the class level the kids are in so not all teachers are very competent to assess the kids level properly. The pool is an indoor pool and is very clean. Perfect for all seasons of the year. My kids have been there since they were young, and now they are great swimmers and they love it. The teacher Teresa literally almost used child abuse and pushes my kids' goggles so they get water and chlorine in their eyes. And doesn't do the child abuse in front of parents. She puts non professional teachers to teach my kid. The staff is good and friendly, but this one lady was super rude to me when i was checking in. Unsanitary floating boundaries, my kids complained about how dirty it was. And the poo and throw up thing is ridiculous too, i paid for the lesson and i don't even get any sort of refund from the aftermath of that. This place is very clean, water is always warm, showers are great, and instructors are very friendly. The life guard is always on duty and very attentive. If this is all you want from a swimming school then this is the place to go. If you expect your kids to progress in swimming this is not the place to go. While very friendly many instructors are not professional. The school keeps their students on the same level without any progression for years. If you get very lucky and get a good instructor then after maybe 8 or 9 years your kid will graduate with decent swimming technique, but no strength to compete even in elementary school. read more

My son and I have been going to the Baby Swim class on Tuesday nights. This has been a great introduction to the pool for my son. Pros: Great front desk staff, clean facilities, friendly and patient instructors. Cons: Activities in class are comprised of the same songs and activities week after week. Not a lot of emphasis on skill development. After a few weeks, the class became stale. Also they do not offer makeup classes. Overall, we have had a great experience but I have decided to take a break until my son is old enough to take actual swim lessons. read more
