I don't understand some of the reviews at the below. Upon registering your child to this swim school you are informed of the policies pretty clearly. I am a nanny for one of the babies that swim here on Wednesdays. Now I do not come here often as the parents usually swim with their baby but this facility is pretty clean, organized, and has a friendly staff. After a few weeks she no longer cries in the water and actually loves it. Our instructor, Andrew, is VERY knowledgeable and good with the kids. He's also not bad on the eyes ;). The pricing here is pretty fair compared to other places. I highly recommend sending your child here to learn how to swim! read more

My son has been here for only 4 classes and he is now be able to swim across from one side to the other. The instructor Dylan is very patient with his student and he makes my son wants to go to swimming school every week. All the staffs here are very nice and friendly which I feel my son is in a right place to learn and have fun swimming. I highly recommend the parents who are looking for a swimming school. My kids love it here! Jason is really good with the babies he had Bleu underwater on the first lesson. In just a few lessons George gave Analee all the confidence she needed and now swims without help. read more

Very nice facility, well kept and roomy. Coaches are great and know their way around kids. Also very safe. Only cons are that changing room is small and can get very crowded in the afternoon, also showers are in an open space right next to the pool which doesn't allow much privacy. read more

We love this school! We signed our daughter up so she could learn to swim and become water safe. Just a small preface about my daughter, she a but. She's one of those high energy, free spirited, hard kiddos. I suppose your typically hard toddler. So she doesn't listen very well and NEVER sits still. She's the type that will jump out off the platform while the teacher has their back turned. Now on to the teacher. We have her with Tyler and I can't say enough good things about him. He's so darn patient. And even when he has a full class he's focused on EACH kid in his class. So if your nutso toddler jumps out he's got eyes on them and makes sure they're safe. I also like how he's kinda strict with them. He'll make my kid sit out of the pool until her turn when she's misbehaving. I can say my daughter has learned more in the two-three months she's been with Tyler than she did with the previous instructor she was with. I would highly recommend if you're going to use this school you ask for Tyler! He's amazing. read more

Sutton swim school is wonderful in so many ways! They taught my son who was fearful of water and my daughter who was rambunctious with no fear of water. My daughters learned their swimming from this school when it was in Cupertino (yes, it was at least 6 years ago.) The teachers, the staffs and the owner were amazing. The owner kept a high standard on the teaching quality. Nowadays in their swim club (competitive swimming) and high school, sometimes the coaches used them to show other swimmers what the proper forms should be. Well done, Sutton! read more

My kids both started learning to swim at Sutton. We have since moved out of CA. But my 11-year-old daughter have qualified for the Indiana Division and State Championships and so has our 8-year-old son. Sutton has instilled great fundamentals in my kids as they continue their love for swimming and are becoming strong athletes in the sport, which wasn't our original intention when we started at Sutton! I love this school, the instructors and the amazing facility! I take their adult classes. I have never swam my whole life and decided to take the plunge (pun intended!) last year. It was the best decision I ever made. I was so afraid to even put my head in the water (to the point of completely freaking out) but they were incredibly respectful and patient. On one occasion especially, my regular instructor was not available and I was very nervous about going with some one else. When I communicated this to their manager, they understood my fears and the owner herself changed into swim gear and got in the pool with me! Unbelievable!! I look forward to my class every week and can now swim almost 20 yards. I cannot say enough about them. Kudos and hats off to the great team there!! read more

I am very disappointed with the experience my son had at the school. His instructor was rude and although I could see her behavior through the glass, she didn't even try to hide her frustration. She rolled her eyes, was huffing and puffing and she even pushed him off a little stronger than was appropriate. He came out of the class upset that his instructor was angry with him--he was sad. This is bad for kids, bad for the school. An instructor at a swim school for kids should be good with kids, they should understand how to teach. It wasn't important for her to do well as an instructor and that says something about the management and ownership. read more

I "pulled" my daughter out of this swim school after about a month of attending, and I hope this place improved since when it opened. We signed up right when it opened, and were waiting for it to open for several months as we were informed that it WILL open on a set day, but then tiles were not delivered or something like that and the pool construction got dragged out for a few months. Later teens got hired to oversee the place and I did not like their attitude or odd behaviors, like running away all of a sudden to catch a bolting out kid, waiting for someone else (fellow employee) to do something, or acting like they are twice my age, where it actually is the other way around. Kids get sick and there was no $ recovery when that happens and kid misses swim lesson. One day there was a poop accident emergency and the whole pool got shut down for the day. The reasons why we quit was A) my daughter said she's not into this school (unlike the previous swim school where she learned something). B) The swim lessons were ridiculously short like less than half an hour C) consistent before during and after tick you off stuff. I hope all of that is past history and the place has turned fantastic in 2018. read more

We absolutely loved our experience and was not expecting it to end. However they canceled our class time and was unable to find another time that worked for us. Very sad about that and my daughter is sad she isn't swimming. read more

My daughter (3 years old) started swimming classes earlier this year and so happy we found Sutton Swim School close to our home. Registering was a breeze! My mother in law usually takes my daughter and I've been there a couple of times. The environment is very clean and very friendly. Everyone that works there is great and so welcoming. My daughter is progressing slowly but surely and always enjoys her time there. We look forward to continuing our stay with Sutton and the day Skyler learns to swim on her own. read more

Very clean facility, professional and courteous staff.

The facility is clean and location is good with plenty of parking. My only concern is when we there are substitute teachers, they are way too much hand holding for the class level the kids are in so not all teachers are very competent to assess the kids level properly. We love our kids teacher though. Teresa is amazing! But with perfect pool temperature and year around availability I would not go anywhere else. read more

The pool is an indoor pool and is very clean. Perfect for all seasons of the year. My kids have been there since they were young, and now they are great swimmers and they love it. The staff is very helpful and hospitable. Teachers are amazing and they really know what they are doing. To parents, I would definitely recommend this swim school for your children. read more

The teacher Teresa literally almost used child abuse and pushes my kids' goggles so they get water and chlorine in their eyes. And doesn't do the child abuse in front of parents. She puts non professional teachers to teach my kid. The staff is good and friendly, but this one lady was super rude to me when i was checking in. Unsanitary floating boundaries, my kids complained about how dirty it was. And the poo and throw up thing is ridiculous too, i paid for the lesson and i don't even get any sort of refund from the aftermath of that. I highly recommend not going there, or request a different teacher that's not Teresa. read more

We have been going here for 6 years now. Each of my girls started around 1 year old so we have done the babies class on up. I appreciate the high quality instruction, well trained staff, and the warm and welcoming environment. We are always greeted, everyone is friendly and helpful. Great customer service! This place is very clean, water is always warm, showers are great, and instructors are very friendly. The life guard is always on duty and very attentive. If this is all you want from a swimming school then this is the place to go. If you expect your kids to progress in swimming this is not the place to go. While very friendly many instructors are not professional. The school keeps their students on the same level without any progression for years. If you get very lucky and get a good instructor then after maybe 8 or 9 years your kid will graduate with decent swimming technique, but no strength to compete even in elementary school. read more

We're a new family at the school, and first impression didn't disappoint. The waiting room and bathrooms are spacious, brand new and instruction is focused on getting the kids swimming! We were helped by Camille at the front desk, she is awesome, so ask for her when you need anything. read more

My son and I have been going to the Baby Swim class on Tuesday nights. This has been a great introduction to the pool for my son. Pros: Great front desk staff, clean facilities, friendly and patient instructors. Cons: Activities in class are comprised of the same songs and activities week after week. Not a lot of emphasis on skill development. After a few weeks, the class became stale. Also they do not offer makeup classes. Overall, we have had a great experience but I have decided to take a break until my son is old enough to take actual swim lessons. read more

We tried this place out once. The teachers here are very nice and commit to teaching children swimming. We didn't sign up due to scheduling conflicts. I'd recommend Sutton to small children who don't mind learning swimming at a slower pace. read more

it is a small group and my 8 yr old loves it and i like that is not a large group and it is not that expensive.

We have been with Sutton for over 4 years. My 2 kids started at the old location in Cupertino as babies. We had several instructors along the way, and they all have been great with kids. My girls are not the most easy-going: the older one is stubborn and anxious, the younger one is not a huge fan of water, but their teachers found the right approach to make them feel safe and engaged. Leo, the manager, is extremely nice and helpful. The brand-new facility is much bigger, including a larger pool space. The water temperature kept at a very comfortable level for kids. One thing that makes Sutton stand out (and we visited several pools) is that their pool water has always been very clean and without an overpowering smell of chlorine. I cannot comment on the quality of instruction at higher skill levels, we are not there yet. So far, the goals for my kids have been safety and feeling comfortable in the water, and I am very happy with their progress at Sutton. read more
