From the moment you walk in, the facility is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming . The staff at the front desk are always friendly and accommodating, making scheduling and make-up lessons incredibly easy . What truly sets Waterworks apart, though, is the quality of the instruction. Our son, Connor, had made remarkable progress in his swimming skills and water safety. Their instructors are patient, skilled, and fantastic with kids, creating a fun and positive learning environment. Our son is now a high caliber club swimmer thanks to the instructors at Waterwokrs A huge part of our positive experience comes down to the management. The team, led by Steve, ensures the facility runs smoothly and efficiently. It's clear that he and the entire management staff care deeply about both the students and the parents. They foster a supportive atmosphere where excellent instructors are hired and empowered to do their best work, and they are always responsive to any questions or needs we have . If you are looking for a swim school that prioritizes progress, safety, and professionalism, look no further than Waterworks. Thank you, Steve, and the whole Waterworks team, for such a great experience!

Coach Matthew is great! He is very patient with my son and always updates me with his progress. My son used to go at waterworks aquatics and I had to cancel his lessons there because he couldn't stand the smell of chlorine and he is a bit claustrophobic. Maki has a great environment. Their pool doesn't have a strong chlorine smell and I like how its not completely closed off. The tent is well ventilated and I like how they open the vinyl on hot days. My son feels comfortable and safe. Sandie has always been very helpful since my first interaction with her. She even offered a tour of the facility and a trial swim before we can commit. The location is very convenient. Only 5 minutes away from our house is a plus! Highly recommended

Unfortunately, constant coach changes meant our younger daughter never learned to swim despite two years of lessons -- every time progress was made, a new instructor reset the process. When we finally found a coach who worked for both girls, the school switched them without any discussion. When we raised concerns, the person running the school (Maggie) was dismissive and condescending rather than willing to listen. We also dealt with frequent last-minute cancellations (Sandy expecting immediate response last minute ). The coaches themselves were often great, but management's poor communication made it impossible to continue. Get all commitments in writing before enrolling.

A huge part of that is thanks to Kelly, the owner. She is incredibly patient, calm, and intuitive as a coach. She meets you exactly where you are, never rushes the process, and somehow knows exactly how to help you push past fear without feeling overwhelmed. The environment is supportive, encouraging, and completely judgment-free--something that makes all the difference when you're learning as an adult. If you've ever been hesitant or afraid of the water, I can honestly say this place can help you overcome it. Exceptional facility, outstanding coaches. Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. When it came time to look for summer swimming lessons it was an easy choice for us to chose Brighton. The pool and the area around it was always clean. I was able to relax and enjoy watching my daughter swim. My son did not take lessons but was able to go with me and entertain himself with the tetherball and pin pong table while he waited. The lessons themselves were awesome too. We had a young man named Johnathon whom my daughter adored. He was so good for her. He right on target at picking up on my daughters abilities and needs of improvement during the first lesson. He was a great teacher and was also able to be playful in his lessons to make it more interesting. Crystal Kurotori was super friendly and informative too. Over all the entire crew was great. We would definitely return for and recommend the facility for lessons.

Second: smartphones have ruined photography, and it's getting increasingly more difficult to find gear, accessories, peripherals... but San Jose Camera has always had what I've looked for (except my fav Canon lens, no longer manufactured). The people here are consummate professionals, exceptionally well-versed and experienced photographers. They know their stuff: I've had questions about Canon, Minolta, Nikon, and Hasselblad cameras and they knew the answer without looking it up. (Price of gear is the only exception.) Sort of an old-school type, I still dabble in film photography, especially in astrophotography, and they've had excellent recommendations for what I'm looking for in film, even discussed some ideas I hadn't considered. I used to spend a few hours a week here... purchased a number of lenses here and taken a number of classes. My highest recommendation for these classes: I learned so much in these... as good as any you'll find professionally.
