Went in for flat tire repair. Told I needed to buy a new tire due to ruining the integrity of the tire. Puzzled by this as there was unknown damage to interior of tire. Goodyear sent me to another location for second opinion. Informed that interior damage was in fact a manufacturer error but the flat repair was fouled up. Sutton tire employee when sticking plug created a second hole not even plugging original hole. Goodyear going to reimburse me for cost of tire. Returned to Suttons to buy tire and I informed the boss lady about the workers error and she proceeded to question why it took me a month to return. I stayed im on social security and work self employed and she turned around and basically called me a liar saying in a rude manner I can't work while on social security. I proceeded to say your ignorant if you think I can lt work on social security and she got so irate that she repeatedly stated don't call me ignorant in a hostile manner. Her worker that performed the work then butted in and ask what the problem was I explained and he proceeded to accuse me of yelling which I wasn't. And then started using profanity towards me and use every excuse he could to try and make his work valid. I had left my bank card on counter during this debate and as I was leaving boss lady said she needed the old tire and I said you don't need it she then flashed my bank card saying if you want your bank card back you'll give me the tire... at this point the intimidation factor was pretty far elevated with worker..boss lady and another man all surrounding my vehicle from front to back. They fouled up the tire made it out like it was my fault while trying to cover up there mistakes read more

Got all 4 new tires here not too long ago. Ran over a slab of plywood left on the highway.. (thanks portland for nothing) and got a nice hole in my tire. Brought my tire in and they had that fixed within 10mins, free of charge! Love these guys, and right on the corner! No BS and they hook you up! Very respectful business and I recommend to friends and family! read more

This place saved me!! I got a flat/blown tire and just happened this place was the next right turn off the street and as soon as I saw it was a tire shop I felt so much relief. Good people doing great business. I called and they got me right in. The info my car's computer was giving me was a false readying because it was never reset so they straightened it out for me and replaced the tire pressure sensor that wasn't reading. Balanced my tires and got me on my way. Excellent customer service and I greatly appreciate it! read more

Driving along NE Lombard my tps comes on so I see Sutton's and swing in thinking that I will just have the tyre filled. The lovely bloke tries to fill all the tyres for me and we can hear the thing leaking air! The owner looks up the sizing and they had none in stock for my car, she found a place that did and sent one of the guys to pick them up. Tyres are being replaced as we speak, the price was comparable to Costco prices. This is a family run operation, the whole family was there today and they are really nice and friendly! read more

I had a great experience here, everyone was kind and explained everything to me well. Apparently my brakes needed to be completely redone and I needed some tires (they even found me a spare -I didn't have one). The prices were quite reasonable as well. What fantastic and helpful service! I was visiting Portland from out of town and hours before leaving town on a Saturday, I found a nail in my tire! Luckily, Sutton's was open for one more hour and they told me to come right in! (This was after I had called 3 other area businesses who told me I would have to wait 2 or more hours for a simple patch). When we got there, the (I assume) proprietor jacked my car up immediately and got to work while we relaxed in their waiting area and enjoyed the company of their very friendly and sweet golden retriever. Before we knew it, the tire was patched, filled with air, and road-ready!! Unbelievably, there was no charge because they carry the brand of tire we had on the car. I hope we someday have the opportunity to return to Sutton's and give them some of our business, but until then, I hope this review helps drive business their way. read more

I got a flat the night before and was driving around on a donut trying to find a replacement tire. My car is all wheel drive and I just bought new tires a couple months ago, so I was trying to find a matching tire. The gal at Sutton didn't have the same tire but suggested Les Schwab might but they'll try to make me buy all 4 new tires. She said just buy one tire and bring it to her and she'll put it on for me because they'll all have close enough tread that it shouldn't matter. These guys are Fantastic! They were prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. They had the chains I wanted, but showed me the errors in my decision and got me into a better set for less money! They don't try to up-sell you. I've bought tires from them also and have enjoyed driving on them. Since they were one of the few open on a Saturday I had AAA take my SUV there. The tire was toast. Ron hopped in his truck to go and retrieve a new one from somewhere for me. I had the best experience here. I called about getting new tires. The person I spoke to told me that if I ordered tires straight from Goodyear ( I have a credit card) that the price could be cheaper online. He was right! Ordered online, set up an appointment to have Sutton Tires put them on. It was the easiest transaction ever. They had a Saturday slot open which was very convenient. read more

Such an excellent shop. I went to them to get chains for my car, and it was my first time using chains. They showed me how to put them on and then stayed and provided assistance while I tried to put them on myself. They were super kind the whole time and went above and beyond with their service to make sure I felt really comfortable using the product. They tried to tell me I needed four brand new tires, since they don't make the ones I have anymore.... a.k.a. they just didn't have the ones I needed in stock and wanted to make more money. I ended up getting 2 new tires somewhere else that weren't the same, but are very similar. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I don't know a lot about cars/tires. I bet this place would be good if your into cars and know your stuff, but I found this place somewhat unprofessional. However, that could be because I'm not part of the demographic they typically service. read more

When we moved to Portland, we had no idea of where get tires, after having used the same place for over 20 years. We got very lucky with Sutton's as they are the kind of place that I can turn my wife loose there knowing that they will take good care of her. It is unfortunate but seemingly a fact that it is not typically possible for a mechanic or tire dealer to take care of my wife or my daughter without getting gouged. I will forever use these guys for tire-related issues. Out of desperation (it was a Sunday), I went to Firestone to have my rapidly leaking tire checked out. The technician informed me that there was a screw too close to the sidewall for them to do a patch and that I would be looking at replacing that tire PLUS my three other tires because I have an AWD vehicle. These tires are less than a year old. I told them no, that I would have Goodyear assess the situation since they are Goodyear tires, and had them just install my spare. Today, I went to Goodyear with my bad tire in tow. The technicians looked at the tire and said that it 100% could be patched, and they rolled their eyes over Firestone telling me otherwise. So, they patched my tire and did it at no charge! The service techs were very nice and thorough, and I highly recommend this business to anyone with tire issues. read more

So happy with the all season tires I purchased at Sutton's today. This is a family owned establishment, and you can feel that from the moment you walk through the door. I spoke with Kim on the phone first. It turns out that she is one of the owners. She was nice, no nonsense and efficient. I wanted specific tires for my SUV (what can I say? I like my high-end Goodyears!). Turns out Sutton's didn't have them, but Kim said she could easily order them. Other garages tried to pressure me into buying the tires they had on stock. I called Kim at 3:30pm on Monday, and I had my tires on by noon the next day. Also, Sutton's rates are reasonable - cheaper than my Subaru dealer or Les Schwab. I also saw many people come in for chains, and I was amazed at how they seemed to have every size and type requested. I think it is important to support locally owned businesses; I think you get better service and you do a little to help out your neighbors. It's a win-win, you know? I am really glad I chose Sutton's and highly recommend them. read more
