Okay so first off this guy is a one man show! Well from what I gathered. So bare with him. Just looked him up online and decided to see if he could put on 4 newer tires for me? He says yes sure no problem but can you leave your car here and come back at 6 o'clock on the dot! He made sure to make it a point to tell me to be on time..... It's 3 o'clock now so 3 hours plenty of time. I go do errands and roll around go back home to kill time. So I get back to the place about 545pm. Yes I know I'm early yet. I am alittle concerned. My car isn't parked where it should be it's still in the same spot I left it! Well great he didn't get to it! So he tells me sorry you have to come back in the morning around 11am It will be done. Ekkkkkkkk at this point I'm alittle annoyed because why no phone call... to ask if I could leave or wanted to leave my car over night??? Super confused Any who I took a deep breathe and said okay see you tomorrow. I will never come back here. I did try and get a better deal than other places but you pay for what you get! He was not professional and was over booked. He could of just said I don't have time today and avoided this whole review! Communication is key! It is what it is! The service was provided with great consistency and communication. flexible and considerate. I needed a tow and help with my car. Though they were busy, they somehow were able to help me out and explain in detail what was happening with car within a day and a half. The effort and help is much appreciated. read more

This place is a up-sell. I went in for a nail in a tire I recently purchased elsewhere. I inquired about having my tire plugged and purchase one tire for the rear. My tires are 225/65/16, he suggested I get 220/60 which will not fit my van. He quoted me $200 for a used set and requested I purchase a set. I just purchased 3 new tires last month. I only needed one tire. When I declined the set he didn't plug my tire. Horrible customer I will continue to use discount tire. I went to discount tire and had my tire replaced brand new for $60. read more

I hate to make a negative review but I think it's important for people to be informed before paying for services blindly. I had them mount and balance some tires on some new wheels and they scratched them up pretty bad, on one of the rims the clear coat completely came off on a section of the lip because of them wresting to get the tire on with a bar, The wheel setup hasn't even been driven on yet as you can see in the pictures I've added and the wheel weights have already fallen off probably due to them greasing up the wheel excessively and then putting some stick on weights without cleaning the inner rim so now I have to go somewhere else to get the wheel rebalanced and see if I can have some place fix the damage on the clear of these new wheels. I highly recommend you avoid this place. Unless you want to pay for someone to incorrectly balance and possibly damage your wheels to at a comparable price to a real shop. I thought to find something good to say in the review but with these guys and my experience there wasn't one. To make things worse they don't give receipts. Please go somewhere else this place is not the place to go. read more

Tire King saved my butt! I was driving for Uber and Lyft yesterday when I hugged a right turn into a too deeply set storm drain on NE Hancock and NE 54th. My tire blew and a new tire at Les Schwab stated at $122! I want to invest in new tires, but now is not the time. Uber and Lyft riders need to tip more often! Anyway, Tire King gave me a solution for $35! Now I can pay rent this month and get back onto the road! read more

Stopped into this mom and pop very hesitantly because I've been mislead and cheated on price by corporate chain tire shops before. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing service and knowledge provided by the owner and his son. This shop is owned by honest, hard working people who are incredibly friendly and helpful! I met the gentleman who does the window tinting next door who was incredibly funny and helpful, too! Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, I feel in very good hands and trust these people to take care of my car and not cheat me! I discovered a nail in one of my tires on Saturday evening. On Sunday, I went to a couple of big name tire stores to see if they could help - despite being open on Sunday, they weren't able to help "until almost closing time" or "can you leave the car here 'til tomorrow". I was passing The Tire King, pulled in, the guy I spoke to said he could fix it right away - pulled the nail, plugged the hole, filled the tire with air, $5, and I'm on my way. I got a flat tire Saturday night and had to come back Sunday with my brother in law to get it fixed.. well it was unfixable and needed to be replaced...Ughhhh I was frustrated because all tire stores were closed on Sunday ( they mostly have banker hours) so I was going to have to take a day of work to get this done.. Then I looked up tire places just Incase...Low and behold tire king was open!!! So we went over to see if they had my tire, they did and said they'd stay open until we could get the wheel back. Long story short Rudy replaced and balanced ( and probably would've put it on for me if I didn't have my bro in law) for under $50. I wanted to jump for joy! I really don't like posting negative things on yelp, or the internet in general. This being said, you should know that these guys are really doing dangerously shoddy work. The installed used tires on my van, and its started handling terribly. I had another tire shop look at it, and what they installed were oversized bias-ply trailer tires that were made in the mid 90's. Before all of this, they installed four matching tires on my girlfriends van. She went on tour with her band, and all four of the tires had separate blow outs. ON THE FREEWAY. It turns out that they sold her over sized tires, and they were rubbing on the shocks and wheel well once the van was loaded down. read more

I went to tire king last summer when I had a tire bald and needed them replaced I also had to have front brakes put on they had me go get my own parts to save money on brake pads right up the street ( I didn't have a lot) it ended up costing me 100 bucks to get 4 new tires and new brakes I was thrilled, plus a week later I noticed I had a nail in one of the tires I must have ran over it I took the vehicle back he took care of the nail did not charge me a penny plus my passenger door would not close he fixed that in like a minute ( I didn't know how to fix it myself)and he didn't charge for this ethir I will trust them with all my vehicle needs !! read more

Killer service.... My friend popped a tire coming into town. I called this place up, asking if she could have her car towed in and fixed the next day (since they were closing soon). They said sure... So the car gets towed in, and these guys stayed open for us (almost an hour past closing). My friend got a huge discount on a set of lightly used tires. Fair price quoted on new ones. We left to grab food while the tires were changed. They said it would take 30min, but finished in half that time. After calling, they offered to deliver the car to the restaurant we were eating at. Amazing. The level of service they provided was exceptional. Now, I wouldnt expect them to go to those lengths every day, but the fact that they did that says a lot about their character. I brought in my 2012 Acura TL on May 25, 2017 and got some great looking Yokohama's tires. Great customer service, friendly and honest. My experience with The Tire King was so impressive that I brought in my 1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 on July 12, 2017 and got some great looking BF Goodrich tires that makes the Mustang look hungry to eat up some miles. I really love the personal and local pieces because I believe in order to keep a tight knit community you have to spend money with people who are from your community. read more
