I had an amazing meal with 2 of my girlfriends last night. From beginning to end the service was fantastic. The food was so fresh & delicious. We had sushi & a steak dish. Everything about this place was amazing! My wife and I ate here the first night during our stay at Palmilla and we both agreed it was one of best dining experiences we hav me had...maybe ever?! Staff: all around top notch. They're timing is great, they get your order and then leave you alone (very romantic ocean views from the window) and seem to check in at the perfect time. Table: we had a table up against a window over the ocean and it was a beautiful view.l of the waves crashing the shore and when it got dark you could see the lights along the coast. Having a great seat really helps the overall dining experience and this one was outstanding. Food: absolutely F-ing delicious. We had sea bass suviche (I know how meta! Ordered suviche at a restaurant of the same name lol), and edamame. We had the freshest yellowtail and salmon nigiri and even the rice was cooked perfectly! Some of the tastiest fish we've had in a long time. Also ordered an eel roll and a spicy tuna roll with soy paper (allergy to seaweed) and they were different than in the US. The fish is on the top/outside the roll and very generous cuts of fish for maki rolls...6 pieces each but pretty large and so so flavorful. We also had the jumbo shrimp tempura, which was like eating a tender delicious meat stick of the most perfectly fried shrimp you ever had! We were for sure shrimp-drunk. Desert: shared the Mochi ice cream and they also gave a few small pieces of green tea cake which were wonderful. I've cream was a good size for 2 to share and perfectly soft like butter to roll the spoon through without sliding the whole scoop off the plate. Drinks: Had 3 cocktails between the 2 of us and they were all delicious. What I liked is that all the cocktails were new/different from the other restaurants/bars on the property. Price: the Yelp page says $$$$, but our total was $275 (which included a 15% gratuity) and I felt that for the beautiful view, amazingly fresh fish, great portions, excellent service, and overall fine dining experience, this was not expensive. Summary: 1000% strongly recommend and can't wait to come back! read more

If you are looking for an experience- come to Suviche. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by dining at this gem of a restaurant. We started with Cocktails #1, #3 & #9. You will not be disappointed in #3- complete with its own smoke! Paired the cocktails with the yellow tail, followed by tuna tartare, then shrimp tempura, miso with chicken and then the hot stone with shrimp and rib eye... The service at this entire resort is IMPECCABLE. Top notch. There is literally not one single thing they could do better. I've never said that about a resort in my entire life. That being said, our experience at Suviche was not much different than our experience at the resort. The seafood is as fresh as seafood comes and the rolls are delicious, but the best thing we had was the hot stone ribeye. Amazing. Wish we didn't leave this meal for our last night at the resort so we could've had it again. read more

Had a (real) crab cut roll for $50. 95% avocado and cucumber with not much crab so tasted like a very expensive cucumber/avocado roll. Miso soup was ok. Kids loved the chicken noodle soup. The food, and especially the service, was exceptional! I recommend the nigiri - it's all to die for. Also, the white truffle yellowtail and the jalepeno yellowtail is amazing - order it! The sushi was beautiful, fresh, expertly prepared (Yellow tail with Jalapenos) - and of course I had Ceviche which was (as always in Mexico) fantastic. Honestly I expected more from such a high scale restaurant. The menu is very expensive (well, yeah you are at the Palmillos after all), but the amount and quality doesn't seem to justify it. The service is great though, and they make sure you taste and like the wine before you commit to a GLASS of it! Doesn't even have to be a bottle. The chefs special was the tuna belly; 2 pieces of your choice of nigiri or sashimi (3 slices for sashimi or 2 nigiri) for $12. We also got the ceviche (salmon with sesame) $18 but I thought the sesame overpowered the salmon and the chips were too thick. The sushi roll we got was ok but it was a bit too salty for me even without the soy sauce. Honestly the best part of this meal was the service and wine. The tuna belly was delicious as well but too pricey for only 3 slices. The complimentary dessert was such a nice surprise though!! The sesame macaroons were DELICIOUS. omg. This was our first time staying at the One & Only Palmilla and Suviche was so good, we dined here twice. The ambiance is fantastic, with floor to ceiling windows showing the Sea of Cortez and overlooking the adult pool. Very beautiful decor as well. The food is fantastic; I highly recommend the One & Only Nigiri. The Spicy Tuna, Tuna & Curry, Seared Yellowtail, and Seabass & Pecan are all great. NOTE: we were not as impressed with the sushi rolls. We ordered the Giant Roll which is supposed to be the best, but it wasn't very good. The hot stone dish is also great; we got the spicy shrimp and it was fun to grill it ourselves over the hot stone. Staff are incredible, very attentive and truly go out of their way to make dining there and unforgettable experience. We will definitely return :) read more

YOU GUYS... this place was fantastic. If you love sushi as much as I do you'll be obsessed with this place. We sat at the sushi bar because it was too late to make reservations for that night. The service honestly couldn't have been better, but service in Cabo in general is fantastic. We loved our dinner we tried a lot of different sushi as well as the sizzling beef (you cook on a rock) and the sizzling shrimp. The wine was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. New favorite restaurant in Cabo, besides Flora Farms. Highly recommend this place for date night when you want some sushi. read more

On our last visit (one year ago), we went to this restaurant as we were too lazy to leave the hotel property. The service was outstanding and the food was so-so. We live in San Francisco and have far better sushi at lower prices there. This time, we decided to start our trip with dining here again (it was late and we didn't want to leave the property). Shockingly, we were turned away because my husband was wearing dress shorts. They changed their dress code policy one month ago and men must wear pants. No exceptions (except for the lucky ones we saw them let slide by)! This is a joke! Far better dining establishments in Cabo (Toro) do not have dress codes. Avoid this place and head elsewhere! read more

I was thoroughly excited to try Suviche being a fan at large of sushi as well as Latin ceviches. To start the tables are cluttered with so many objects it does not create a zen experience however they do have nice plates and chopstick holders. The ceviches have way too many flavors that it becomes about everything but the fish. The sashimi was also quite fishy, maybe Saturday's they are still waiting for another shipment. On top of the old fish taste the cuts included dark meat and too thick of cuts in odd sizes. Our hamachi with dark meat was unacceptable. We did not finish a single item and cancelled the rest of our order after 5 courses of two thumbs down and we're still charged for everything. Don't get excited for this restaurant, you are better off going to the store and buying it pre-made. read more

Sashimi, sushi, rolls, and red meet were delicious. We preferred the seared yellow tail and asked for more. Delicious.
