Best bbq/ smoked meat I've had in a very long time. The…read moreribs had the house sauce, very good not too sweet or spicy. Both the brisket and pulled pork were very tender and flavourful. Only good quality meat tastes this good. The coleslaw was good . The secrete ingredient in the dressing was mango. Don't worry if you don't like mango. You don't taste it, it's just part of the background flavour and creates a flavour profile that is amazing. Same with the potato salad, tiny bits of mango in it, it just blends with all the other ingredients to create something really special. Service was excellent, I think it was the owner, but judging by the place, all the employees would be as knowledgeable and helpful, I diols mention, the wings. Very good, the honey garlic sauce dripped of onto the plater, I loved dipping the fries in it. We tried the hot honey on the side. Normally I don't like the spicy, but even with the kick it had, it was very good. The price point was very good. Even with the recent increases in price, it more affordable and higher quality than our regular spots closer to home. We had the feast for 2 for $75. It could have fed 1 or 2 more. We loved it. Cleanliness was excellent and exceptional. Looking in the kitchen, I've never seen a cleaner place. The only negative which is a positive for us. The sausages were not ready. My husband was disappointed, but it's good to know the food is that fresh and probably why the rest was so good and so fresh and flavourful. This is a place we will be coming back to and would recommend

Lamb sausage (daily meat) was good: very meaty & slightly spicy, with a nice spice mix. Cornbread was pretty good: moist enough & quite rich. Mac & cheese was good: nice breading, a bit firm & with a very rich & cheesy sauce. The washroom is surprisingly stylish.

It's a small spot but does have a decent amount of seating. Very casual in style, where you order and pay at the counter before seating yourself, and food is not served to the table so they call out your order for pick up. Menu is easy to follow: you pick a vessel and a protein, as well as your choice of toppings and sauces. You can also choose sides and drinks as well. They also have daily deals. My go-to is the HOLY SHRIMP as a SALAD bowl. I top it with cheese, caramelized onions, crispy onions, cucumber, southeast salsa, and sweet pickled cabbage. Their avocado cream is a must-have sauce and this time, I requested a little bit of their roasted peanut sauce as well. The shrimp will definitely have you saying "HOLY!" because they're so crunchy and flavorful. Not to mention, a really good size! One serving is about 5-6 large pieces of shrimp. The K.F.C. was the first protein I tried and is my second go-to choice. Service is always friendly and in general, the entire process is just so easy and convenient. I've also never had to wait long for my food, which I appreciate!

La Parrilla is a small takeout restaurant that's big on flavours! The food is meticulously prepared…read moreto order fresh from the grill. What is the meaning of 'parrilla' you might ask? It's a traditional form of Argentinian barbecue on the open fire. I've tried Brazilian rodizio and Venezuelan arepas but that was near the extent of my Latin American foray so it was exciting to taste the cuisine at this hidden gem. The must-get menu item is their charcoal grilled chicken. It's sort of akin to Portuguese chicken but in comparison the meat here is more juicy and better seasoned. The half chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly smoky flavours, then even tossed in chimichurri sauce. Perhaps greasy yet each meaty bite is satisfying! Honourable mention also goes to their empanadas. A pretty sight: golden baked crust folds over the fresh beef filling, that might be even better by the dozen. And at their price point, I can see why guests generally agree La Parrilla is a 5-star visit. I ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup upon arrival to avoid any wait. Owner Serge was friendly about offering an extra sauce on the side along with chimichurri tossed on the chicken. Definitely get that sauce, as it adds dimensions to the asado / grilled meat. It's not easy for family businesses to operate these days, so I applaud that La Parrilla charcoal churrasqueria continues to offer top notch food from this little plaza.

The worst part was the terrible service from the waiters; especially from this older man who was rude and disrespectful to the customers. To make it even worse, their prices are outrageous! A MINI empanada is $3.50 each and a can of coke is also $3.50 each and you can check on their website the ridiculous meat dish prices! Don't bother trying this restaurant, it will definitely not be worth your money!!!

The red marble sauce was a bit spicy. The Fresh Chicken Gizzard was good too. The meat was fresh - none of that strange smell I've had at other fried chicken places. It was cooked perfectly - juicy and tender on the inside with the crispy batter on the outside. The Red Marble sauce had a nice kick to it, though a bit spicy. Also tried the Fried Chicken Gizzard and it was good. Service was very good. The staff was attentive and took their time explaining the different flavours. Their seating area is clean and convenient. Overall it's a solid spot for Korean fried chicken if you're in the area.

With new locations popping up across the city, this spot delivers crispy, flavour-packed chicken with a few fun twists that set it apart. We tried two flavours: Honey Brown and Snowing Cheese Honey Brown: saucy, sweet, and addictive. Think of it as a more elevated version of honey garlic with a deeper, richer flavour. Snowing Cheese: A drier option, but equally delicious, coated in a light cheesy powder that adds a savoury punch without being overpowering. A great option is to get the half & half, which lets you try both flavours in one order; perfect for indecisive eaters or sharing with friends. Each order also comes with pickled radish, a classic Korean fried chicken side that helps balance out the richness, and even includes pieces of tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes) mixed in with the chicken, which was a fun and satisfying surprise. While we didn't get to try their full range of sides or tteokbokki dishes, there were several tempting options on the menu that we'll definitely come back for. Service was friendly and welcoming, and to top it off, we even received a free reusable tote bag with our visit, a small but thoughtful gesture that added to the positive experience. Pro tip: If you're doing takeout, they offer online ordering which makes the process smooth and convenient. Parking is plentiful in the plaza, which is another bonus if you're driving. Overall, if you're in the area and craving crispy, flavourful Korean fried chicken, this spot is a solid pick. Great food, good vibes, and easy access; definitely recommend it!
