I've come here a few times, and I used to order the same thing, the waffle and chicken. This time I ordered the chicken and waffle in the waffle was burnt. It was like biting into a kettle chip. I really didn't want to complain but I had no choice cause I couldn't eat it. I asked if I could have another one cause mine was cooked for too long and they lady told me that she could drop another one but the quality wouldn't change much because of the waffle maker they use. usually the waffles are soft and have flavor this was bad. Decided to be adventurous today since I am trying to get in the habit of eating better. I had the cauliflower wings and the deluxe impossible burger. Cauliflower wings had great sauce and breading on them. The star of the show was the burger. Very flavorful and seasoned well, while it wasn't meat it was not far off from a real burger. I even got to chat with the manager who gave me a full overview of the menu and let me samples many of the frozen drinks. I can't wait to come back and try some more items on the menu. In Tallahassee for an event and always searching for vegan options. Social Vegan had great reviews and we were definitely drawn in by the oyster mushrooms! Arrived on a very rainy day, not too busy but service was kind and fast enough considering it's made from scratch. Good size place with nice pairings on the walls. Great options and you get that bar food/comfort food feel but don't feel gross eating it all lol. We had the oyster mushrooms that were very large and crispy. The French fries were very good and I am always trying fries everywhere we go! Had the quesadilla, nachos and the chickin and waffles- a huge hit for sure! My husband and I decided to try this place out, kind you, neither of us are vegan. However, after eating it, we've visited several more times. The food is amazing, the customer service is top notch and the atmosphere has great potential. They have a really large indoor seating area and space that looks like they may use it for live music/dancing. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area. Had the gumbo with "shreemp", mushroom oyster sandwich with thei vegan ranch, and oyster mushrooms apppetizer with that delicious ass social sauce. I wish I had more money to get two more orders of the oyster mushroom app! Overall, to me, food was a 5-star experience for sho. Went here for lunch with coworkers. 3 of 6 of us ordered the Ultimate Social Nachos. The portion sizes were all different with one of us getting literally half the amount of the other two. I will say, the nachos were very tasty but had like a shot glass amount of impossible meat in it. More impossible meat please and consistent portion sizes. We had gotten the Buffalo chicken sandwich, onion rings, and Buffalo cauliflower wings. The onion rings were a little greasy on some bites but def had a nice crunch and flavor. The buffalo cauliflower wings were very delicious and has inspired me to try and make my own (we'll see about that). The Buffalo sandwich was my least favorite out of the three. An order of fries was over $3 and a medium drink was $11. The food was good but it was a bit overpriced as previously stated. Also, we had to ask for extra napkins twice. It was really fucking good!! I got the BBQ bacon cheese burger with fries and it was so filling and incredibly delicious. I completely forgot to take any pictures because we ate it so fast. My girlfriend who's not even vegan/vegetarian stole a few bites (even though she said she didn't want anything lol), but once she saw how good it looked and the faces I was making while eating it, she had to try some and agreed that it was amazing. I added some sautéed onions and mushrooms but even without it them it would've been amazing. The burger patty was thick and juicy and very well seasoned. That burger reminded me of slutty vegan in atl, if you've ever been then you know that their vegan burgers are also fantastic so it's really cool that Tallahassee now has a vegan place that can offer some big city vegan options. It was a bit expensive but that's vegan stuff so what can y'a do. The only reason why it's not 5 starts is because the burger doesn't come with fries (which were also fantastic) I had to order them separate. But! Beer battered fries are my favorite so i think it was really worth it. Highly recommend, try it for yourself and see. And it looked very pretty inside :) read more
