I had one of the best nights of my life in the Flite! I went there with low expectations after reading the previous reviews but ended up having a blast. There was somewhat of a strict dress code being enforced that night which didn't allow my cousin to enter due to the fact that her dress was made of a mesh material at the bottom, which is why I deducted a star from this review. After driving home to change and making it back to the club, the entrance fee had increased a whole $10 which was outrageous!!! We went ahead and paid the fee since it was her birthday but $30 per person is a little steep for a hole in the wall type establishment in my opinion. It took forever to get drinks since the place was packed wall to wall with people. Thank god one of the girls I was with knew a guy that pretty much let us squeeze in next to him and a few of his friends at a small table. After about the second drink I began to really feel myself and let loose. The Dj played a great mix of older R&B and Hip Hop hits that had the whole club singing along. I'm not sure if it was the drinks or the fact that I had hardly eaten anything that day but I was overly intoxicated after just two cups. We called it a night after I knocked over someone's plate of chicken wings and became a personal dancer for a random group of guys. Overall I enjoyed my night in the Flite and will most definitely be returning in the near future. Just a tip for the ladies, do not wear anything mesh or see through or you may be denied access into the club. So top flite is not what it used to be they have now started holding the lines for over an hour that's insane for me to arrive prior to 9:30 and not get in until 10:45 outrageous. This isn't just one time like this is frequently the last few times I've gone. Attend during happy hour on Wednesday only. My family flew in from California, Georgia and Maryland with a party of over 20 and were denied access. We had to go back to our hotel to get tennis shoes instead of sneakers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER RETURN. Beware of looking too fly the security will not let you enter. The owner made the situation worse, horrible customer service. With the cost of admission you are granted a raffle ticket for a chance to win $100 cash. On top of that there are great waitresses that will bring out some of the best fried chicken or catfish with fries. If Karaoke isn't your thing, end your work week by sliding over for the big parties on Friday. I warn you, the "Best Drinks in Town" will have you jumping out of your seat and dancing through the night. Every time I go to Top Flite it's always a GREAT time! From the music, to the food, & the entertaining people. It's not your average club...but more like a hole in the wall. But I guarantee you it's one of the best hole in the walls you'll ever go to. Parking isn't the best, especially on a busier night. There's the tiniest parking lot that right at the club but then there's two medium size parking lots & one large parking lot down the street. If you don't park in either of those, people just park anywhere on the side of the street or just Uber/Lyft because no one feels like dealing with parking. Must be 21+ to get in. Cover to get inside if the club isn't always bad. It just really depends on what's going on in Tallahassee honestly. So with that being said, the wait for the line or even if they hold the line can fluctuate. If it's like homecoming or graduation then it's super best to get early because it does fill up quick and they will charge an arm and a leg to get in. And if you're a student, that's not gone fly lol. A lot of us that have been to Top Flite can agree on two things...they have strong drinks and they have some of the best fried chicken wings in town. If you get there a little early during the happy hour, drinks are 2-for-1 and I promise you won't need another drink all night. Yes, they're that strong! Place was empty. I am with my Wife and her two friends. I get wanded and searched by two people, in hoodies and sneakers no less, bag checked, only to be told by the third that I am wearing sneakers and can't come in. Maybe they are classified as sneakers in some insane world because they have a rubber sole, but they are designer shoes that no one would ever wear to any gym, hoop or play any kind of ball in. Been to 5 star clubs in Miami Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas where shoes like these are perfectly alright even though they say no sneakers. Sorry, but no one wearing Dolce And Gabbana, McQueen, Gucci, or giuseppe zanotti would ever play any sport wearing these as they cost more than any pair of Air Jordan any person would wear. And the guy after me walks in with actual sneakers. If you are mad cause you live in a dumpster of a city, that's on you. But dude legit wouldn't let me in. This is always a go to spot for me when I come to visit Tallahassee. I preferably like going on Wednesday nights for Karaoke night is always fun. They have 2 for 1 drinks till 8:30, so you might want to get there before that to take advantage. My favorite are the fried wings with fries and I get the hot sauce on the side with a lemonade Hennessy. They have the best wings in town and they aren't shy with the amount of alcohol that they put in your drink. read more

This was my first time in the area searched the maps for night clubs and came across this place. It was a great spot. Now parking sucks unless you get there early. The security dudes were everywhere and doing their job to check to make sure you didn't have anything to bring inside. There is a big seating area, but like I said get there early and you can get a seat. There's a dance floor with Mirrors on it which is a plus plus plus. Overall nice chill kickback spot. Beautiful people everywhere. Food was good. Drinks was real drinks and not water down with cranberry juice but straight alcohol. No need to ask the dj for request because the Music was on point. By far my most favorite club in Tallahassee! For sure its for the "older" Black crowd, but on Wednesday nights especially, there is a healthy amount of college students. The Flite is hands-down, my FAVORITE place in Tallahassee! I ALWAYS have a good time here. The music, drinks, food, and overall vibe is great. There is almost always a line to get inside and depending on the weekend, they jack up the cover but I will say it's worth it. There was once a time when Too Flite Night Club Used to be considered one of the most premier clubs for young adults in Tallahassee!! Because of their age limit (21+) and the fact that it is a locally owned business, it attracted a more mature crowd. The drinks were amazing! It only took ONE to get me where I needed to be! The music was amazing! The DJ on saturday nights DJ E Zone, the best DJ in the Big Bend. Now. All of that has changed . The people are young and immature now, fights break out regularly. The drinks are still pretty dope, not gone lie, but my body can't digest just anything and I get a hangover everytime I leave here. The music has changed! It still gets the job done, but they changed the dj and the music isn't always as current! And that's just the long story short!! They even hold the line. I was near the entrance at 9:40 but didn't get in til 10:20! Top Flite is not what it used to be. I think it is complete unprofessional for people to arrive at 8:30 and be held in line over an hour just so this establishment can make "more money". I have literally watched people just stand at the front of the line waiting until 10:30, so they can then charge them an entrance fee. For Tallahassee, this is one of the better clubs/lounges. The set up and tables/chairs are awkward. The music is okay for the most part. My favorite night is karaoke Wednesdays because it's usually interesting to watch people sing. Being that Tallahassee is so small,you see the same people over and over again so prepare yourself for that. The mix of people is quite interesting. 21 to about 55...odd range. The drinks are okay. The price at the door is unnecessary and their food is good if you've had enough alcohol. There is usually a cover charge to get in which I think is unnecessary. The parking scratched the bottom of my poor car and then I had to walk a bit just to get to the establishment. This place gets 2 stars solely based on karaoke night. read more

Came down with family to celebrate younger cousins graduation from FAMU. There was a function hosted at a restaurant by the family for the grad which was a all white party. Afterwards, the cousins went to top flight to celebrate. Arriving we noticed there was no set dress code. Some people were dressed nice, others not so much, baggy jeans, wrinkled shirts etc... We get to the front, I'm told I could not enter because I had on shorts, and a cousin of ours was told he could not come in because he had on sneakers. Keep in mind, there were many others who had on sneakers in the club. Also I understand why shorts would be against code. But these weren't jean shorts, these were nice all white shorts... After going back and fourth with the owner or whoever he was for about 5 minutes, we all choose to get our money back and leave. We were so disappointed, that this is the way buisness was being conducted. Here we are celebrating a mile stone dressed up looking good, but could were denied entry. I am from the Washington D.C. area and this place I was told for the "older" mature crowd..PLEASEEEEE......everyone except maybe 2% are 25 to 35, if that old. It is 90% women and they all come in half dressed. The DJ is sorry and nobody dances...when the women do dance "alone", they all face the mirror watching their self dance. WOW.....There are so many tables you can hardly walk to the ladies room. But I understand why now, NOBODY dances on the dance floor, they all sit there eating and texting on the cell phones, or one or two may dance by their table. You see lights everywhere from cell phone usage. Definitely not a party atmosphere. I was blown. I came there with my man and was ready to dance, NOT, unless you make your own party, but Mr. DJ, give me something to dance to. He can't get anyone on the floor. The radio commercials make it seem like it is off the chain, yes it is if you are going for a skimpy dressed fashion show. And young ladies, it is not necessary to dress that way to get your party on,,,,,,it only says I'm here to be taken home, turn off for men, in case you did not know. I see why there are 90% women and 10% men.
