This was my first visit to this company and the location I visited was in Allen Park. The all female staff are complete rockstars and took so much time and effort to get me taken care of with picking new glasses, I won't lie, having beautiful women telling me I look good in my glasses definitely helped me make a good decision. They set me up so well with a great discount and even offered financing if that was an option I wanted to take. They went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of and then when I was ready to see the doc, (which only ran about 10 minutes max past my appointment time- talk about efficient!) the doctor was genuinely kind and prompt and caring. I have no clue where anyone had anything negative to say about him or anyone else for that matter, I'm not a regular and they treated me like family. I highly recommend this location and I thank everyone at SVS Allen Park for taking such good care of me. I really enjoyed my experience at SVS in Allen Park on Park Ave. I made my appointment and got in the Thursday before Memorial Day at  2:15. I got there about 1:45 filled out very little paperwork. turned it in.Then got a cup of coffee and sat down in the waiting area. I was only there 5 min before they called me. the older DR. was not there I had got a young guy I never seen before. He was nice and polite also answered all my questions without getting snotty. And my Glasses came in the Tuesday after  Memorial Day. I am very happy with them and I will return in the future for my Glasses I don't see there are so many negative comments I have been there a few times and never had a problem.anyway...my total time from when I walked in finished everything and left was under a half hour. VERY friendly staff and very helpful. I would recommend this SVS to any and everyone. read more

I was extremely happy with my visit to SVS Allen Park. From the moment I entered I was greeted with a smile, making me feel welcome. I had an eye exam and the Dr. was very kind and patient answering questions that I had. While choosing frames that would be appropriate for my lenses and would fit well Tina was a tremendous help with her suggestions. I was also assisted by Jean who helped me decide which would be the best choice for my situation. Both ladies spent a great deal of time making everything right for me. I did benefit tremendously from Tina and Jean's years of experience and kindness. The staff there are very friendly and courteous! As I was browsing and trying on frames, the optometrist came and helped select frames for me to try on. She was extremely helpful and understanding as to what I was looking for. I ended up choosing a frame that she picked out. While placing the order for my new frames, she noticed that the glasses I was wearing were incredibly loose. She tightened them for me and waa-laa! they didn't fall off my face whenever I looked down. So after placing my order for my new frames, it only took about 5 days for them to come in! The glasses look absolutely great, it fits my face so well and I CAN SEE!! Haha. Highly recommend this place!! Double thumbs up!! read more

When I first entered the office I was immediately asked if I could be helped. Iwas then immediately directed to my next step in the process of choosing frames for my new glasses while I was to wait for my turn to see the doctor. I was able to easily choose a pair of frames I liked as there were many to choose from. When I was finished I didn't have to wait long and I was was called to see the doctor. The doctor explained everything he was testing and all the results completely. My glasses were ready in ajust a couple days and I received a call to pick them up. The Staff at the Allen Park location are professional & caring of the client's needs. Every one wore a mask & hand sanitizer was available. The frames I purchased are just what I was looking for and goes with my grey hair and pale skin tone. Tina the Manager helped me choose frames because all the other Reps were busy with other clients. Not too many clients at a time & they met me at my exact appointment time. All of the employees were wearing masks and they have a hand sanitizer station at the door. The receptionist asks everyone who comes in to use hand sanitizer and I really liked that. If you are there to check out the glasses, they have bins to make sure you put the glasses in the bins and not back on the shelves as now they have been used. They also don't let people just look around without an appointment, which is understandable for safety reasons. SVS takes care of their patients immediately and I liked that. read more

Dr. Hamer is the best eye doctor I've ever had. Very nice and very smart. My husband also likes him. He found a cataract in his right eye and recommended that he get the surgery before he gets a pair of glasses, so he wouldn't waste his money. He was referred to an excellent place and has had to the surgery. He actually can't wait to get the other eye done down the road! I can't say I'm as anxious to get it done someday. Nonetheless, we both love SVS Vision in Allen Park. read more

I was happy with the service that I received. The only negative is that there was no help in picking out the frames that I finally chose. Besides that, I had to get the lenses replaced due to the fact that I couldn't wear progressive lenses. Everything was done at no cost to me, in fact, I received a refund for the cost of the progressives. It was very nice to receive money back without having to ask for it. The staff was very friendly at the Allen Park location. They were courteous and respectful and the whole experience was very efficient. The examining doctor was proficient and thorough during the exam. As a contact lens wearer of over 40 years I've had plenty of experience with both good and bad eye doctors and he was one of the best. He explained what he was doing and why, and made sure I was completely happy with the fit and comfort of my lenses. read more

The SVS in Allen Park staff are very accommodating and helpful!! I had an issue with my glasses which were out of warranty - the woman tried to repair them but didn't have the right supplies to fix my glasses so they needed to send them out. A week later they called me told me my glasses were ready and told me the COVID protocols I chose curbside pickup and it was a quick and smooth procedure! Staff is very helpful. I had multiple questions and adjustments (I'm probably too picky). I even exchanged a pair for another and still the staff was patient and assisted me graciously each time. Perhaps the older reviews were different employees or just plain ole bad days but current staff gets 5 stars. These are challenging times and everyone is concerned about COVID19, yet they are still showing up and meeting customer essential needs. read more

I live in Taylor, and I'll never go back to the Taylor location again!!! This location was the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! Everyone was so kind and thoughtful that Im pretty sure I overstayed my visit that took only an Hour! The eye doctor made me feel super comfortable, and the ladies made everything so easy from picking out and making my purchases! Ladies at the front desk ... WONDERFUL. They treat you like a friend and answer any questions you may have, I absolutely loved just being there. The DR was also amazing, he made sure to listen to all my concerns and answered all my questions in a very professional manner and explained what every machine he was using was for. Great customer service. Office staff was amazing in their knowledge of eye glasses. The optometrist was very pleasant and provided a great vision eye exam. However, I did hear complaints in the lobby area about seniors wanting a dilated eye exam included in the exam and was told they would not do it there and they would need to do this with a ophthalmologist. This struck me as odd because Pearl Vision would do it for me there. read more

My wife and I both needed new glasses and decided to try SVS Vision instead of our normal place. We're glad we did. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take the time to help you choose glasses that look good on you. They didn't try rushing us at all. The doctor is very friendly and thorough with her exam and explains everything in the simplest of terms. We will be going back here from now on. See you next year. read more

Great staff!! I was in an out I probably waited about 10 mins. My 1st visit....the doctor is great he recommend me to an eye specialist to conform a theory and he was right and I've seen 2 other eye doctors before ( most recent was last year) b4 I came to svs and neither of them told me they thought I had a eye issue....but thank God I finally got answers as to why I had double vision. I love the service and everything. Super great selection of frames too. Im leaving a star off because trying to leave this location is always a nightmare. If you want to turn left you will be there till next year. And if you think you can just turn right and take a quick detour, Goodluck, because you're heading straight into more traffic and construction zones. Depends where you live of course. read more
