He was thorough in his discussion and a good listener. I was very impressed with him. The price he quoted was fair, and I did feel confident that he could do the work efficiently, professionally, and within the time allocated to us. They came the next morning and gave us an estimate and we shook hands on the price. WOW!!! They arrived promptly at 7:30 am and were done by 2:30 pm. Many other tree places do not remove the wood, in fact most don't even clean up the debris. My yard was left cleaner then it was when they started. The second hurdle is ensuring there's no "price creep" - where you're given a quote yet when the job is midway through, the price suddenly jumps on work you'd thought was agreed upon. Again, none of this funny business with R & D. After this past winter's storms caused damage from falling limbs to both an outbuilding then the house, about a month apart, we knew we had to sacrifice summer shade for safety. R & D gave us a reasonable estimate and they stuck to the price. Ramiro's crew was on time, polite and professional. One huge maple removed and two other large maples cut and pruned later and our property was cleaned and set to right as if no work crew had been there at all. When I spoke to the owner, he said he would not charge me, well he shouldn't since I asked that it not be cut several days in advance. When I spoke to him he told me that it is confusing because we change out mind every week. First, that is not true we did it twice, and second, we are paying for the service and can tell them when we do not want it cut. He told me if we do not want it cut, we should tell them the day that they are coming. Now how do I always know when they are coming when there is rain, etc? In addition, when his brother was doing the mowing, he would actually skip us when our lawn looked like this. Once he skipped us and the owner charged us anyway. I expect my landscaper to know when not to cut, but I always text so they can plan their schedule and crew. When I told him we were discontinuing his service his text back was that he did not need my business anyway. The below pictures are my lawn before they came to cut it. We had asked them not to in a text on Saturday, and they cut in anyway.
