I come here from time to time since it's not too far from work. Is it amazing bbq...... Not really, but it will satisfy your bbq cravings. Food is pretty good so you won't get disappointed. I just ually go further up when I've got the time. The decor looks like it's the inside of a barn which all other Swadleys is like that, which I have no issues with. The flavor is there for BBQ burnt ends but there's a surcharge of $3.24 to sub the burnt end meat. Do not get it for the bake potato coz you will only get 5 cubes of burnt ends which was very disappointing. Also, the "loaded" bake potato didn't come with the chives. i bought one pound of burnt ends, this was nothing but FAT. when I called to report my dissatisfaction I was told that that's what burnt ends were, it comes from the fattest part of the brisket. this false advertisement since there's no meat just fat. Stopped in the other day for the first time just see how it as. I ordered 1/4 lb burnt ends and a 1/4 lb of sliced moist brisket and asked for heavy bark on the brisket. The first thing that got my attention was when they rang it ip, each item had "+$2.99" next to it. The cashier said they up charge for brisket products and asked if that was OK. I said it's fine and paid. Honestly I was caught slightly off-guard but I was hungry and didn't have a lot of time. While waiting for my food I looked back at the menu and at my receipt. I realized why I was confused. The menu clearly states the price per lb for Burnt Ends, for Brisket and for their other meat options. So my issue is, if you're pricing those individual items by the lb already, why do you also add an upcharge. I've seen other restaurants have one price per lb for all their meets and then an extra charge for brisket products. But never been charge over what the advertised price is for that specific item. On to the food. The brisket was not horrible but certainly not great. Not very smoky and I did not get any resemblance of heavy bark. Just a little along the edge of each piece. The burnt ends on the other hand were good. They were tender and flavored nicely. Overall, I'd be hesitant to go back just because of their pricing policy. It makes it pretty expensive for what it is. I don't mind paying top dollar for good BBQ, but this ain't it. read more

95% of the time if we dine in, the food is exactly how I expect it to be which is good, I love their lean sliced brisket 95% of the time. BUT, the last 2 times I've ordered on line and pickup to take home 15-20 minutes away, the brisket has been inedible and today it was absolutely gross. Don't know if they aren't reading the order or they give the meat that no one will want to the take out customers but I will NEVER pick up without thoroughly examining first, which if you were actually doing your job, would not and should not be necessary. I had real high hopes for this location but unfortunately this spot was a let down and my bbq hopes were destroyed. However I usually eat at the location on a Western and this location does not match up. I recently moved to Midwest City and I wanted to try this location. I ordered the Oklahoma sampler as I always do. The portion was quite small and the sides of corn and deviled potato salad was the saving grace of the meal. Hubs had the catfish & okra and enjoyed it, but the hush puppies were a bit greasy & underdone. We have been driving on Hwy 40 for about 9 hours. We wanted to find a place with real food, not fast food, and sit down and have a late lunch early dinner. We saw the billboard for Swadley's and this location was perfect for our travel path east to Tennessee. The menu was impressive and we went with the 2 meat platter. The burnt ends were moist, juicy, flavorful! The pulled pork was perfection!! The brisket makes you moan!!! The green beans are peppery and remind you of your grandma's house. The Mac and cheese is creamy and the perfect match for a cold winter day. We added a salad bar and the presentation was fresh and crisp with so many selections!! The restaurant is an open concept with ample seating. They have tvs so you can see what is happening as you dine. The kitchen is massive and super clean! The staff was patient, curious and efficient. Leah was our waitress and was such a delight to talk with and a very hard worker. We wish we lived closer!! We loved it so much we ordered brisket and burnt ends to go and packed them in our cooler to have when we finally make it home. Only 900 miles to go!! I'm nabbed the burnt end sandwhich and it was pretty good. Some days f the brisket was a little over done but then again that's what it is right. They also put just the right amount of bbq on the ends that made it even better. I highly suggest the onion straws even though they are big enough to be considered onion rings. It is actually respected, standing there doing absolutely nothing, showed me that you are NOT part of "The Team". The crew maybe, however you are not. Just imagine how stressful it is for the crew trying to get everything made, l had a large order. Imagine how your team will respond to a mgr that leads by example ( go help them make a few of my 13 items) and don't hand it to the gal at the window, personally you had it in your hand snd pass it off. We walked in and There's no denying it's a a bar-b-que restaurant When I think of bbq restaurant ... this is the ambiance that comes to mind We ordered food & drinks at the register ( I had the 2 meat platter with smoked Turkey & spicy link sausage with fried okra & Mac & cheese as sides) Then we took our number and it's "seat yourself" with a server bringing the food & drinks to your table. Our waitress came & got our drink order & she did a great job making sure we didn't run out of our drinks! Our food came out & My Turkey was very tasty, Mac & cheese was creamy & fried okra was crunchy. I thought the spicy links were fabulous! With a little spice when you first bite them but it doesn't stay with you. So in other words they are edible! Not so spicy that it burns your throat or gives you indigestion. I would say perfectly "spicy" the only reason I gave 4 & not 5 is because our food was "warm", almost room temp. So by the time I finished eating some of my meal was cold and it's not like I waited to eat or was talking. As a matter of fact I DIDN'T talk so I could try to finish my meal before it got cold.
