My fries decided to show up to the party a few degrees too cool. Not ice-cold, but if they had been a little fresher, this would be a 5 star review for certain. This fork and knife dig was sooooo good. The dog was cooked perfectly, like fried or something. The chili was good. I asked for easy onion and I could have just had regular onion. The cheese was a nice addition, I would've liked more. The fries are so good. My family got some and they were cold, the lady came around and asked so they were sent back. You order at the front and the entire restaurant is "the bar" so the bartender will come to you if you request their service. Overall the food was decent. And I have been to every Garage burger in the OKC Metro! The service at this location just gradually gets more and more subpar! The food is even starting to match the attitudes. I have tried to continue to support this location because it's the closest to my house and because I seriously LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Garage Burger. But at this point, I have decided to bypass this location and head straight for the one downtown, or Britton even though it's an extra 25 mins from where I live. I'm so glad we decided to try The Garage again. It was so good we went back the very next day! You order at the front counter and then take your order number and place it on your table and they will bring out your food once it's ready. My husband had the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries and I had the Avocado Chicken Salad. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere is fun and casual, there's a full bar that stayed busy both times we were there. They have large flat screens around the restaurant playing various sports and it's just a really fun vibe there. I can't wait to go back and try the Chicken Fajita Tacos next! First time at this location. So glad we stopped for a Turkey burger and fries, it was amazing! The location is in a convenient mall strip off the highway. Parking was easy even with a packed lot. Entering the establishment I was greeted quickly. You actually order food before you sit down and a wait staff brings your food to table. Although the place was packed, we received food fast, it was hot and delicious. I had to make sure it was a Turkey burger! Mannnnn it tasted like high quality beef, but the waiter reassured me it was Turkey! The restaurant was clean and even tho the place was packed with televisions covering every free wall space, the sound wasn't deafening. We carried a conversation without yelling. My Avocado salad was overly salted and I could not eat it all, my husband had the southwest chicken salad that was very good, and the Bison burger the kids really enjoyed. So, you should know by now I love a Hal Smith enterprise. I feel like he gets it. From atmosphere, location, dining menu and drinks. He just gets it. The food. Always consistent. Always good and price wise usual a good value. The drinks are good normally and if not they are quick to fix the issue. Today, I'm going to be that person. Service for food was great. Out in a timely manner and we got everything we ordered. Drinks. What a shit show. I paid cash on my first drink. Came out fine. My second drink I put on my card and closed the tab. Unfortunately, they charged me twice. I brought it to their attention. They said the wound correct it. They charged me again double. Insult to injury, they didn't even bring me the right drink I had just been charged three times the price of the drink. I had to ask for the manager. I was on a burger kick so I sought out this place from my hotel. I had heard good things from a few people that day about this place and I had all intentions of devouring a burger. When you walk in you get this Americana feel, largely in part from the decor. Think TGIFridays, but on a more toned down level. Some great focal points that are great for conversation starters. With the high ceiling in here, you have a feel that you are in a garage. I like how this is set up as well. I like that you order your food first and then take a seat. To me that feels like it's more organized and in my head I am going to get my food faster. Ordering here can be a difficult thing. One can only hope that you have someone in front of you so you can make and actual decision before you approach the counter. I had looked and looked and ended up going with a safe choice. Cheeseburger it'll be, and of course fries...why not make those the garlic Parmesan fries, yes, we will. One other thing, you can do your tipping now and not have to worry when you finish your meal (not always a good thing, but it was convenient). Once your order is complete and cup in hand, you make your way towards the seating area. Stop at the fountain and fill up your glass first. Once you find a table don't forget to put your number stake in the paper towel holder...how else are they going to know where to bring your food? The American cheese melted perfectly making the other toppings kind of stick right in place and not make that much of a mess. The lettuce, onion and tomato were all fresh and crispy. The pickles weren't overpowering at all. The toasting of the bun was perfect. I can definitely say that my burger craving was put at bay after shoving that in my face. And let's talk about the fries. AMAZING! Nothing better than fresh cut fries to accompany an amazing burger. The garlic Parmesan topping really put these over the top. When you think that, you think it's only going to be the garlic powder, but not here. Minced garlic is used, making for a heartier experience.
