Very good place for South Indian food. We went here multiple times and have had a very good experience always. Some of the things we have tried include Srilankan Set Dosa, Veg Masala Rava Dosa, Poori with Potato Masala and Salt Lassi. The service is a little slow but the quality of food is worth it. The staff is good and courteous. The ambiance is good and quite contemporary. There is plenty of seating space, including for large groups. The parking outside is quite large since this is located in a very large plaza with shared central parking space but every time we have found a parking space close to the restaurant. After reading their menu I was very intrigued on the choices of Dosa they provided. The restaurant has a good number of seatings. The service was quick and the lady was very friendly. Choices...Choices...Foodwise, I choose Palak (Spinach) Paneer Masala Rava Dosa - This Dosa was huge and fully stuffed with cooked palak and paneer with special herbs and spices stuffed with curried potato masala. This restaurant is located in a newer plaza but I wouldn't come here for the ambiance. There is plenty of seating here. There were quite a few people on a Wednesday night. They seemed to have only a couple of staff in the front but the service was very fast. We seated ourselves and the waitress came within a few mins to serve us water and take our orders. I was really hungry and I really liked the speed of their service. They were quick to bring out our appetizers - Idli and vada combo. You can add an extra idli or vada to it as well. I ordered the ghee paper dosa and my husband got the kara masala dosa. I really liked the taste and portion size. The dosa was crisp and light but a bit on the saltier side. Came here for dinner with hubby and my toddler. This place is not comparable to Guruluskhmi like some other reviews noted. Here's my review and rating: Service: 2.5/5- you can show up without reservation ( like we did on a saturday). You're not really greeted in the front by anyone and can seat wherever you like. Waiter/waitress don't really come to check on you if you need something unless you walk up to the front cash counter. Food: 2/5- super greasy, doesn't really taste like "South Indian" food rather North Indian with some South Indian twist!!! Price: $$ compared to the food. But everyone nowadays think they can open a restaurant and provide food and charge whatever they want!! We were a family of 8 and visited using coVid time. The location is convenient and has ample parking . The decor is plain and simple . The service was good and all ten food came out without much waiting . We had five or six varieties of dosa and mini Tiffin thali. All the dosas were good. The pav bhaji dosa was large but only had filling in the middle so most of the dosa was just the shell. Decided to visit Swagruhas Dosa Home after seeing the roadside signs for a few weeks. I was overwhelmed by the amount of choices on the menu as it is quite a large one. I found their pooris to be quite greasy, but tasted just like the ones my grandfather used to make. So, a nice reminder of my youth. The dosa was yummy, filled with a very good potato puree. Good spice level. However, the onions were fully raw and falling everywhere. They were unnecessary in my opinion and I will remember that the next time I order. Just North of the International Centre, this resto is in a non-shabby, relatively new plaza in Malton...that actually looks like Brampton! Restaurant itself is much bigger than it looks, quite deep. And it has a hand washing station. Not sure if that was meant for both customers and workers. Menu is pretty straight-forward with a one-line description. No photos though, so either ask questions or just be open to experience new things! I had half of the Paneer Onion Masala Dosa & the Chetinnad Masala Dosa, both were really good and came with 3 chutneys (orange-coloured, coconut, & coriander) + sambar. I would say pretty comparable to Guru Lukshmi, slightly greasier, sambar was a bit too salty, & not as extensive of a menu. Both Dosa were under $12. Also had a really good Mango Lassi, under $4. A Bollywood movie/music video was playing in the background, but not blasting. Atmosphere was actually surprisingly quiet and calm! A welcomed change to a busy day. First Star: This place is lightning quick! I went in, ordered a dosa (from their 153 choices - it's not really that exact number, but there are a lot of choices), paid, went to the washroom and by the time I got out Kris U was standing there holding my bag of dosa. I had to get it to go as I was on my way out of the country and my flight was departing in 2 hours, which brings me to the Second Star: it's proximity to the airport was perfect for my needs. Third Star: it's all about legit-ness. I walked in and was greeted by what I'm pretty sure is a family owned and operated business with lots of folks that appeared to be regulars. Fourth Star: it was goooooooood. I chose a spicy masala dosa and really enjoyed it. Keep in mind though; Denver doesn't do dosa so I was happy to have it in any form. You wouldn't expect Dosa at a Punjab Business Centre but you'll be surprised. The Dosas and the Idlys are pretty good. There are better places out there (Grihalakshmi, Sarvanna Bhavan) in Toronto but this one will satisfy your craving for some good Dosa. The pricing is pretty good as compared to some of the other restaurants. The servers are friendly but they did forget my order for the dessert. Try out the Mango Lassi - it's pretty good. I love the fact they have a open Handwash area. Makes it much more cleaner. Ask for the special of the day. My wife loves Paper Dosa and she found it pretty good. The dosa's here are decent, slightly flaky. The sambar is quite nice, and vadas are acceptable. Filtered coffee is very mild, kinda tastes like generic commodity coffee. The ambiance is nothing special. Overall, if you live nearby, Swagruha's is acceptable from time to time, don't drive too far though. read more

This is my favourite dosa spot. The paper masala dosa and Rava onion masala dosa are phenomenal. I would recommend this place over guru Lakshmi or saravana bhavan any day. Came here on a Sunday afternoon after visiting a few friends. Service was quite slow as there was only one server. But the wait was worth it. The quality of the dosa for the price we pay is awesome...it's not a big fine dine restaurant so we expect quick service...if they have only 2 to 3 customers, then they are quick...but every time we go there, there are on an average 10 to 15 customers and they take more than 40 mins to bring 2 dosas...that's awful !! Waiting 40 mins for those 2 dosas are not worth it !!! Expect big waiting times as they have only one cook. ! read more

Oh, where do I begin? I went with my husband and two kids. When we went to sit at our seat, the chairs and tables were ripped, dirty, and sticky. We sat anyway, because the waiter was impatiently tapping his foot behind us. He handed us our menus (which were dirty) and water. He quickly left. A few minutes later, I was about to take a sip of water when I noticed that there was something in my cup. I checked all the other cups and there was something in there. The waiter came back, we ordered our food (veg masala dosa, plain dosa, mini tiffin) and my husband told the waiter about our water. The waiter rolled his eyes, and left. RUDE! He also said he would bring more water. Our food came, pretty quick too. The food was so-so, but we really didn't want to eat it because of the glasses thing. We paid, and my husband asked again about the glasses. The waiter ignored him, and as soon as he was done with our bill, he ran off. We live in the States, but visit frequently to Canada. If I could, I would give them 0 stars! We got here at 8:30pm and it took them 45 min just to take our order when it wasn't that busy! Then the food took another 35 min to come! Authentic South Indian food in The Great Punjab Business Centre. Started off with appetizers. Love the sambar. We were provided with extra sambar and chutneys with no added cost. Dahi vada, idly vada and sambar vada and idly are a must to try. The dosas were big and had the right crispiness. Best dessert, Chocolate Chip dosa. Devoured in minutes. I used to be a regular visitor of this place which used to serve fresh food with a good and warm welcome from the owner; however, it looks like the success of the place has not gone well with the owners and this is evident when they have started serving stale idlis (interestingly the server accpeted that the idli was stale on May 9, 2015 at 11:00 am, as fresh idlis were not ready) still I gave the place a second chance yesterday June 9, 2015 and figured out that they have changed their portion sizes from what used to be ample of condiments on the plate to just half a spoon full of coconut chutney...also observed were another customer who were complaining about the same as well as their ordered not served the way they have ordered (service sambhar vadaa separately when the customer has ordered to it to be dipped in the sambhar). When this was told as a positive and corrective feedback to the owner, instead of admiting the fault or taking into a constructive manner the owner had the audacity to say that he never served staled food and that i was lying which is terrible and stated...OH MY GOD..this used to be a good place to eat which i used to recommend to all my friends but not any more..STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...!!!! read more
