However, the bar was extremely slow, which added significantly to the overall dining time. We didn't leave until around 9:00 PM. For food, we ordered the Scallop Neptune special, crab dip, and chicken parmesan. Everything was good, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. The sweet tea, however, was fantastic--easily the highlight of the meal. We also ordered Coronas, though the wait from the bar was noticeably long. If you're dining as adults and don't mind a leisurely evening, you may enjoy the waterfront atmosphere. However, I would not recommend bringing a baby or young children. Between the extended wait, slow service, and overall pace of the meal, it wasn't a particularly family-friendly experience. Overall, the setting was nice and the waitstaff worked hard, but the rude host interaction, delayed seating, and slow bar service made for a less-than-great experience.

We started with the fried shrimp appetizer, which had far too much breading and overwhelmed the shrimp itself. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside but undercooked and doughy in the center. My husband and I both ordered the OKI Surf & Turf. The crab cake was the standout of the meal--flavorful and well prepared--but the filet tasted more like a sirloin than a tender filet. My mother-in-law ordered the scallops, which arrived undercooked and had to be sent back. While the kitchen quickly corrected the issue, the scallops that came back had a weird texture. We also had a Caesar salad and a garden salad. Both were fresh enough, but neither was particularly memorable. The garden salad included Asiago cheese, which overpowered the other ingredients rather than complementing them. $3 extra for each salad-- not worth it. The atmosphere was beachy and casual with tons of young families. The bar had an older crowd but fun. I would suggest that the bar should have a frozen drink machine or blender for frozen drinks. Overall, the service was great and the staff worked hard to make our experience enjoyable, but the food was disappointing and not something we'd go out of our way to return for.

Our server, Richard, was friendly enough but he came to our table a total of 4 times in the 70 minutes we were there. Even if we wanted to communicate about our meals preparation it would require for our service to have been better. The lobster bisque was excellent and my wife had a side of fries that were also good. The ambience is lovely and we like the location, but after two recent visits with really poor food and service, we won't be back. To those about to nosh, you have been warned. Go elsewhere.

They were pretty busy during Friday lunch before a big holiday weekend. We got our meal to go because I did not realize that they were not dog friendly. Completely my fault because I did not check ahead. I knew that surrounding places with outdoor dining were so I assumed incorrectly. Not a big deal since there are lots of benches in the area to sit by the waterfront. I ordered the Grouper Salad sandwich, my husband got Thee special that came with 1/2 lb. peel and eat shrimp, crab cake, corn on cob with sides of cocktail and tarter sauce, and my daughter got the regular lunch special with came with shrimp, crab cake, and sauces. Unfortunately, my daughter's lunch only had the 1/4 lb. of shrimp when she opened her box so she had to hoof it back and wait In line again to get her crab cake and sauces. Thankfully, I texted her a copy of the receipt because they gave her a bit of a run around regarding her missing items. I should have gone in there with her. Several staff members asked to see the receipt and then asked if she was sure of what she ordered. If I had known they were going to give her a time, I would have taken care of it myself. Don't get me wrong, I get it. I worked in food service for many years but when a customer shows you a receipt, then tells you there was mistake, and is polite about it, the customer usually doesnt have to explain the issue to multiple people. It is off putting to put the customer to task for your mistake. They gave her a free small drink, which she appreciated. Other than the order mishap, our food was pretty standard. The tarter sauce was nice and thick but was warm. The crab cake was better than some I have had but a bit dry. I cannot say the meal was worth what we spent. My Grouper sandwich was the highlight but for $10.95 and no side it won't be enough for us to return. I am glad we got to try them out while we were there. We have lots of friends that love it. I think our experience would have been better if we had eaten there instead.
