He told me to come right in, agreed to have it ready the same day, in fact he called me a couple hours prior to his promise telling me my sons suit was ready for pick up!! I don't know if it is fair for someone to read this review and then decide whether or not they'll be using Swan Cleaners. Here's why: I wear jeans and tee-shirts. Daily. Occasionally cords. My husband wears jeans and tee-shirts. Daily. Occasionally a button-down shirt. We don't use the dry cleaner very often. I would say that in the past 4 years, I've gone to the cleaners....3 times? Maybe? I have no loyalty to any one cleaner, I'll use whatever is convenient or whoever's closest to wherever i am in the car when I remember I have a pile of stuff in the trunk that needs to be dropped off. THAT SAID... My gram used to use Swan when she lived in the area. She also didn't have a lot of stuff to dry clean, but it is a mom and pop shop, nice and local, i pass it 100 times a day, and have always thought I should patronize them for these reasons. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow. I went in last Saturday, and dropped off our stuff. 1 men's suit (jacket and pants) and 1 dress (loooong but plain stretchy-ish material). I estimated it would be about $20 for the two things. 3 things, I guess (jacket, pants, dress) - so like $10/outfit. I get there to pick it up today: $25.50. Let me express how I actually felt: TWENTY FIVE FIFTY!!!?????? The suit: $8. My dress: $17.50. Again, people, this is not like a silk or suede or baby-flesh-as-material dress that required some fancy pants technique. I thought maybe i'm just clueless, so I phoned-a-friend who is a regular at her cleaners, and she agreed, it is way high, especially since the 2 suit pieces were $8 and my one dress was OVER DOUBLE that. So, needless to say, in 4 years when I have another cleaning need, I will not be returning there. God forbid I call to ask or complain about it, instead I'll just bitch about it here. Because that's just how I roll. On the plus side: they were super nice, very clean shop, convenient for me to get to and park without having to haul stuff across a parking lot. I have used Swan cleaners for years. I came to use them after going to three different dry cleaners in two years who did everything from losing pieces of clothing, giving us other people's clean clothes 3 times, and not getting things clean or pressed right. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the great customer service, courtesy, and quality of their work. They treat our garments as if they were their own. If something is delicate and a stain won't come out, they will talk to you before they try a harsher cleaner and risk damaging the fabric. They aren't the cheapest, nor are they the priciest, but you truly get what you pay for. They even pick up and deliver! Love this business! read more

Having gone to many many dry cleaners in the area, I can tell you Swan's prices are not at all high, in fact they're quite low. I have never been disappointed with the work they've done and most importantly they're honest. When I picked up an order recently there was an envelop attached saying "We checked your pockets and found something." Inside was $75.00. I was flabbergasted. read more

I cannot even express how very happy I am with Swan. I had never gone in there before but saw many people going in and out one night while I was stuck outside in traffic waiting for the the freight train to pass. I decided I would try it sometime since it looked bright, clean and friendly inside. So a week later I brought in a huge stack of drapery that needed to be cleaned quickly, as we are trying to sanitize the home of a young relative who has been in the hospital for months and now returning earlier than expected with a very compromised immunity system. I had already gone to two local dry cleaners closer to my home who both said they couldn't do that many pieces in less than a week. The owner was so kind as to not only turn around the entire cleaning job in less than two days, but he personally hand cleaned a few items that could not be dry cleaned due to the material in the lining. When I went to pick them up, I expected the bill to be huge as there were so many large pieces, but he absolutely refused to let me pay. He was just being kind to us knowing how stressful this situation must have appeared, he just thanked me for thinking of their place, and he wished my relative lots of luck in his recovery. In my effort to support local business, I started using Swan cleaners. I felt the prices were slightly higher then what I paid in the past, but the owners/operators were friendly and helpful. With the down turn in economy I started watching expenses a little more. The costs at Swan cleaners are 2 to 3 times higher then competitive national dry cleaners. I am not kidding!!! The quality at Swan is ok, people are friendly, but definitely not worth the price gouging. They need to lower prices and become more competitive if they want to stay in business. read more

These people rock! I am attending a family member's wedding in less than 3 hours. I had to drive several out of town guests and their families from the airport to our wedding venue. In the course of my travels, someone's child got into my garment bag and I had mud and some kind of juice box looking stains all over the front of my dress. I took it into Swan and the owners immediately put my mind at ease! The woman called in her stain expert brother and they assured me I did not need to go shopping. They took my dress in and personally called me and let me know it was ready for pick up. They went way above and beyond! The prices were EXTREMELY reasonable. I've been going on and off to Swan's for several years now and I must say, that the level of customer service has ALWAYS been exceptional! Although I've tried other cleaners whether to save a penny or being more close to my home, I've always come back and have found "you get what you pay for". Not saying that Swan's is too expensive, but rather you do get what you pay for; quality workmanship, great stain removal, always honest with belongings left in my pockets etc. I recently brought 3 suits in for cleaning and button replacement, they not only did it free of charge but also fixed a belt loop on one of my pants without me even asking! From the 3 smiling faces I'm always greeted with, the kind questions about my family and how work's going etc, you can't buy that just anywhere.
