I come in for the 2nd time, expecting the stain to be removed, for it only to still be very visible. I ask once again bout it, for only to say they weren't able to. They only thing I was confused about was they say they can take it off, after the couple times I already been there, and when I come to pick it up, don't bother telling me they weren't able to, but for me to find out about it when I go to see if there still there. I wish they would had just talked to me, stating they aren't able to, and explain, instead of wasting my time and taking it, for me expecting it to be actually cleaned. Mind you, the stain wasn't a food stain or anything that's really stuck in there, as I'm easily able to just rub at it a few times, and for it to fall off. When I show her that, she tells me to do it myself then and they can't do it. With the biggest attitude, cause I'm expressing confusion as to why they weren't able to. But the only reason why I'm there is because I'm paying for what I thought professionals to do it for me, but clearly I don't see any professionalism. For them to tell me to do it myself when I payed a full 20 bucks to see if they can do it for me. Just real bad attitude and unprofessional. I usually go with the flow when alterations are not ready on the date promised and when pricing is on the high end. But it seems just wrong to take advantage of the very customers who patronize you when it's just as easy to do the work themselves. So, as for why I didn't just do it myself when I made others. I've been every deliberate about supporting small local businesses during the quarantine largely because I believe those interactions will help the businesses cover expenses and stay open. I bought fabric to make washable masks for female loved ones who are first responders (pharmacy, medical, supply chain, etc) thinking they'd appreciate a specialty facial covering to wear in their off days once some restrictions are limited --- knowing we'll be wearing these for a while. After learning Maria was open for business and making masks, I decided to give her the business instead. During my visit, she showed me several reversible washable styles she sells for $8. I bought two. After buying 2 @ $8, I mentally prepared to pay something close (or less) to that because she would supply fabric for the back and ear straps. The ones I bought from her for $8 and reversible. Timing was reasonable--- a week to make 16 adult masks and 2 kids. When I returned to pick them up, I was pleased with how they turned out but was shocked by the price! I was charged $10 per mask for a one sided mask. I pointed out the price was higher than what I was charged when she provided fabric. Despite feeling gouged, I paid it not because I wanted to believe she must have needed the $ enough to essentially overcharge a repeat consumer. While the one bad experience will not erase better experiences and quality, I have no plans to bring more work I can do myself or seek anything else without getting the price upfront.

From personal experience, prices have gone up exponentially. A men's blazer is now $13.45. Other nearby cleaners: $9 to $10.50. One pair men's slacks at Windy City is $10.45.
