Do yourself a favor and try out The Big Lebowski frozen drink. It's like heaven in a cool plastic cup. If you really want to go big, get an extra shot of booze in it and you'll be good to go! Oh yeah, they have beer and other drinks too. While this place is smack dab in the center of douche-ville, it's not as bad as some of the other bar options. It has a pretty laid back vibe which is much better than the "dress to impress, throw your money around" types of people you usually see. Swanky's is a nice little hamlet for real people. This is a Wisconsin pride bar which can be pretty fun. I'm sure it gets rowdy during the games but mostly it's just a cool hang out spot. Even though the last time I was there they were BLASTING country music, it wasn't awful. Over all, this is a really nice place to sit back and have some drinky-drinks. We have been coming to this place to watch Packers games for a very long time. For many years I would not have recommended the place due the horrific service you could expect to receive. Came in today for a game for the first time in a while. We immediately noticed the updates to the menu, the bar, the restrooms, and most importantly the staff. Our waitress was so attentive and wonderful. Something we were just used to not having when at Swankys. This place has taken the steps it needed to to be a pleasant game watching experience. This sounds a little strange to say, but I am Swanky's #1 fan, but I have never stepped foot inside of the establishment. How is that possible, you ask? I frequently order their food for delivery! Let me just say: BEST WINGS IN DENVER! They are meaty, they are saucy, and they are DELICIOUS. I have ordered many, many chicken wings in my day, but these are hands down the best. They're so great after riding around in a delivery person's car, I can't imagine how good they are fresh out of the kitchen. As a midwesterner myself, I also must mention how delicious their ranch dressing is. An added bonus that I just found out about is that they are a Packers bar, they offer "transplant" nights (HOLLA) and they have frozen slushies. I like to come to Swanky's when I am not feeling like getting all dolled up but still want to get my drink on. I would label Swanky's as a dive bar trying to be relevant to the LoDo scene. Like Tavern, they also have slushies. I drink these things here like they are going out of style when I come. Hint: I tried a grape one once...not sure if it a regular thing...don't drink this until you have had AT LEAST two of all of the other flavors that they offer. Swanky's is pretty solid with their food too. It is typical bar food but always satisfies. I like their wings. Swanks, Swanks, feckin' Swanks. This seemed to be our finishing point for the five days I was in Denver. Did some dancing, did a lot of drinking, put on the beer goggles, nearly made a mistake, God intervened and some embarrassment was saved. Regardless, Swanky's was a good enough time. This place will never win an award as the best bar ever, but it's a good place for a large group. I think we had nearly 30 people in our group at some point here. My friends and I watched the last two Packers games here, and I really enjoyed the experience. Being surrounded by large amounts of true fans who (for the most part) are well-mannered and enthusiastic makes watching games so much fun. Love all the posters and signs up on the walls. The bartenders and waitresses here are amazing - they work their butts off and do a fabulous job. Good service, when it's that busy and chaotic, is really appreciated - thanks!! Good beers at decent prices (my Wisconsin friends were over the moon at them having Leinie's), and the food is good, if not a bit overpriced in my opinion. When I was hanging out in this bar, the cute waitress kept touching me, I got a high five from a cute drunk chick and the wall paper in the men's bathroom was dope, so I almost rated this place 5 stars, but that wouldn't be fair. Swanky's is a solid example of "what you see is what you get". I get it. This is Denver and we all love it. The owner however is a HUGE Packer fan and his bar reflects that. It's his bar and if wants to theme it after Sponge Bob I think it's his right. The bathrooms...yeah. OK it's tacky and I'll give you that. However, after walking in the door and looking around, and then you're still surprised there is some Playboy on the wall...I blame you. I'm not saying that you had to see it coming (get your mind out of there) but you shouldn't be surprised either. I don't do the slushy things unless I;m in New Orleans but they are good and strong. Swanky's is the place to be if you're a Packers fan and it's game day! The vibes are off the charts with packers chants and celebrations for every scoring play and awesome sing-along music during commercial breaks. The owner Mark is super friendly and accommodating to customer needs- this past weekend he worked with me to accommodate 9 people at the same table when a reservation typically can be made for up to 8. At the last minute I had a 10th friend want to join and he made that happen too!! Thank you Mark! Molly was our server this past weekend and she was on top of things, she never kept us waiting. I have been here at least 10 times for packers games and have never had bad service or a bad experience!! The slushies are so tasty too! The food is good, nothing crazy special but I would say on par with your average bar food. The wisconsin staples on the menu (cheese curds, Mac n cheese, cheese and sausage platter) make me feel like I'm right at home. The hubster and I went to Denver to a Rockies game to watch the Brewers. It was a Sunday morning and we were in search of a bar to predrink before the game. And from like a block away the hubster sees a Brewers flag outside a bar so of course we have to go in. It was a perfect location too, almost kiddie corner from Coors Field. We walk in and there is like a sea of blue and yellow and not to mention the Packers decor! They even had a Summerfest flag near the door! The hubster is a native Wisconsinite and I lived there for a few years so being at this bar brought back good memories. Our waitress was very friendly. We got our beers and thought we'd order some nachos to start with and then get something else. We ordered the nachos and she took the menus. I was confused at first, because we were only ordering an appetizer and wanted a menu for ordering our actual meal. So a like 10 minutes later she comes back with this MASSIVE plate of nachos! People around us were like, WHOA! It was hilarious! No wonder she took the menus away! She knew we couldn't finish the whole thing. Being from WI, I really want to love this place, but I just can't..... Ya, it's like a WI bar. Ya, they have cheese curds (although not that great). Ya, they show Packer games, have Packer songs and all the tacky WI bar things. But, they also have horrible service (if you can get any at all), varying drink prices and recipes (three bloody mary's one Sunday, 3 wildly different recipes and three different prices with no HH in effect), and a huge lack of seating. The bouncers also ignore the smokers hanging right by the door smoking, so the front half of the bar is filled with smoke and stinks. All in all, I thought this would be "the place" for Packer games for me. After seeing the last 4 there, I think not. I have actually been going there, although not regularly, since they opened. NEVER go here for a Marquette game. First Friday of the March Madness tournament and we were soooo pumped to come to the "Wisconsin" bar for the Marquette game. Decked out with Brewers (MILWAUKEE) and Summer Fest (MILWAUKEE) stuff. But when we ask for the sound to be turned on for the Marquette game- and the FIFITY Marquette fans who chose this bar to watch the game- bartender says "No, it's not a Wisconsin (Madison) game. I walked in with my Clay Matthews jersey and thought I died and went to heaven. I was home. I went to watch a Packers game and everyone was really friendly. I'm probably super bias as a Packers fan so let's just move on to the food. As an appetizer, I HAD to order the cheese curds. Packers game and cheese curds, duh. They were so rich and delicious. I could have eaten a bathtub full of them. For my main course, I had The Giblet. If you have never had this burger, now is the time. They take a burger patty and put cheese curds in the meat. Yes, you read that right, IN THE MEAT. As if that's not enough, the top is off with bacon, green chilies, cream cheese, and a fried egg. My personal trainer would have a fit if he found out that I crushed that whole thing but it was completely worth it. On the side, I had mac&cheese. Oozy gooey goodness. I would highly recommend this place to anyone even if you're not a Packers fan. But I wouldn't recommend coming with a Bears jersey on. Just sayin'. read more

As a wisconsinite I love the atmosphere, however, the staff is rude and rarely serves you in a timely manner, every time I have used a credit card the server has given themselves an extra generous tip that I was unable to see until checking my credit card statement. So we kind of went to this place by a lack of other choices. Trying to watch the USA game and everywhere was packed and this place had no one; now i know why.
