Nice little swap shop . Parking is 4 dollars per car we arrived when it was around 12 pm so many venders were packing it up already. At this swap shop there are many food venders and you can buy some interesting stuff. My friend came with no money and this kind of blew my cash money since I only had 30 cash. I gave her 20 and kept 10 for me. I bought a tiny Tiffany lamp for 10 dollars and I hope its the real thing because if it is, I scored. My friend saw at the same vendor a marble lamp that weight a ton. The vendor wanted me to lend her some money I laugh since I already gave her what I had. We both bought lamps we didn't need but were very original. No cash no more shopping. Next time I go to the swap market I will have to have more cash on me since the vendors only want cash. read more

We were ready to have a different type of scenery with all of this social distancing going on. After getting take outs for dinner, my husband and I decided to hit up the drive in movie theater to watch a movie. It was my husband's first time going to one (I have been a couple times when I was in high school...oy!) and it unfortunately will be our last visit going to this location. We arrived on time and the cashier that was on duty was really nice. It's an awesome deal for $7 for each adult and $2 for each child per ticket. It beats going to a regular theater and having to hit the concession stand prior to the showing, which ends up being a whole lot more. Luckily, we were full from our dinner beforehand and ended up finishing off the dessert during the movie. There is an option to purchase food and drinks there if you choose to do so. The rule that they have is that they ask everyone to turn off their lights on their vehicles when the movie is on. My car doesn't have a feature to turn off all of the lights unless I completely turn the car off. There was no way we were going to sit in a car without a/c in between the middle of spring hitting summer and I didn't want to take the chance in putting in battery mode in case the car had to get jumped after the movie. We had to have the car turned on to listen to the movie through the broadcast station and they were on the lowest dimmed light setting. There was a guy going around on the golf cart and he came up to our car asking us to turn off our lights. We explained to him that we couldn't do it and he even tried doing it himself. He asked us to move to the front row closest to the screen since the lights can hit the wall that the screen stands on. We did what he said and then he comes around a half hour later asking us to move our car again because his boss said it was still too bright. There was people that were leaving in between the first and this occurrence in the meantime since I'm assuming the same thing happened to them. My husband even got out the manual to the car to see if we could actually turning the lights off. I was already fuming at this point because we told the staff and they seen themselves they couldn't even turn the lights off. We ended up deciding to leave since it was already frustrating enough them having to tell us twice to move our car because of the damn lights. The lights weren't affecting anybody and yet they had to drive us insane because they couldn't turn them off. We couldn't even relax and enjoy a damn movie because of what the staff did. Don't even think they even had the courtesy to give us a refund or tickets to return on. Even though we were out the 14 bucks, we know next time to hit up a different drive in where maybe the staff won't have a cow over the lowest light setting and let us enjoy a movie during a pandemic or in the near normalcy of time. read more

We love the drive in especially during all this covid craziness. Being born and raised in this area, I have many memories from the drive-in growing up. It's $7 per adult and $2 per child, show times currently With daylight savings are now starting at 7:30. My 2 star rating is because of how dirty the facilities are. The bathrooms are just insane with the odor of pee, the men's bathroom has had brown water all over the floors the last 2 weekends in a row we went, majority of the stall had no toilet paper. Highly recommend bringing your own food/snacks and use the bathroom before you come and save the bathroom for after. read more

The drive-in theater is the best thing in the whole world. They have really late shows at 10 or 11 o'clock with hardly any people. So you get this neat eerie feeling and also a feeling like you have the place all to yourself. For those that haven't been before to a drive-in. You just park your car and watch in your car or sit outside and listen to your car speakers or radio earphones. There's a cool nostalgia factor like you are in the 50's when this was popular. You can bring your own food and drinks, but they have a very reasonably priced concession stand. The tickets are very cheap, and throughout the year they do soda can specials that gain you free admission. When you first drive in they will tell you which screen to drive up to and ask them for the station or just look at the wall. If you are early for your show you just pull up behind all the other cars and wait for them to leave. I like that part because you can check out the end parts of the other two shows to see if you might like them. The bathrooms are near the East side of the concession stand. You can leave your car on or off. The parking lot gets a good breeze and if you aren't worried about your battery dying I recommend leaving it off so you don't contribute to global warming (the gas use is negligible if you have a newer fuel-efficient car. The reasons this is way better than the regular theater are: 1) There are no annoying people screaming or talking. 2) Nobody kicking your seat 3) No people stinking of cologne or perfume 4) No high priced food to break your budget 5) Open super late 6) Air conditioning set to your comfort level. 7) No sitting too close or far to the screen 8) No crying kids & if yours are crying it doesn't annoy anyone else 9)You can make-out with your date in better privacy. 10) you control volume so no bleeding ears. 11) Bring your own specialty food/drink 12) You can watch the movie nekkid in your car - great for nudists (just kidding!) read more

I love junk! I love picking through old treasures and finding something that I never knew I needed before. I love the thrill of negotiating and feeling like the winner! If that makes sense to you then check out the Swap Shop on Lake Ave. Yes, it's much smaller then the one off Sunrise in Fort Lauderdale but I'm not a fan of all the new touristy nick-nacks that take up rows and rows of the Ft. Lauderdale location. This spot has good ol junk and tons of it! Vendors change weekly but there are a few you can bet will be there week after week. One of my favorites is a lady that sells current and one month old magazines at 6 for $5.00. Her stands are very organized and she has a better selection then Barnes and Noble in my opinion. Not just fashion magazines, she carries almost anything you can think of! My husband who is a classic car and motorcycle guy even has a huge selection to pick from at her booth. Fresh fruits, vegetables and plants are a plenty. Prices are fantastic and sometimes I go just for the flowers which you can either pick a bunch or make your our bouquet. There are 2 separate food stands serving the best smelling Spanish food. The lines are always long even at 8:00am and although the smell is divine I have yet to try the cuisine since I usually hit up the fruit stands first. Went to the drive in for a nice date night during the week. It has just gotten so bad. We order popcorn and nachos and the both just tasted terrible. I'm not sure how you can mess up popcorn but it was sub par. Not to mention the beautiful smell of rotten trash that smacks you in the face when you open your door and go outside. The only reason why I gave them one star was because of the nice young Spanish man that drives around in the golf cart. He was super helpful with turning off some super bright flood light. And helped jump some women's car and made sure people had their lights off. So it was a great environment for people to watch a movie. And he was super nice talking with everyone. He deserves a raise and promotion better yet a better job than working there. Hopefully I don't forget all this in a year when I think it will be nice to go to the drive in theater again. read more

I've always loved drive-in movie theaters, so I was very excited to find that there's one in WPB. The movie section is on target with the box office and ticket prices are reasonable ($6 for adults)...especially if you see both shows. I recommend getting take out from Tacos al Carbon and going to the 8:30 show. However, don't be late for the movie as there aren't any previews! read more

Awesome place for great stuff for everyone and great prices but I think that on Sunday when the vendors are trying to make money they should not have live entertainment because everyone was hanging out drinking and watching the female asses hanging out dancing and singing. We are here to work the show started at 9. Am and did not stop all day and I Know that I'm not the only vendor that wants this to stop. I'm not saying to stop completely but please think about starting around three o'clock until what ever time. read more

This drive-inn theater is garbage. If you show up a few minutes late, you might have to park on the side of the building, on an incline, behind a bunch of cars. So first off, you can't see a damn thing. Secondly, the staff is loud and annoying. Three or four gold carts drive around randomly blasting loud music while the movie is on! Then you have the cooks that are running around screaming at each other. Other guests are talking loudly on their phones, etc. The only good thing about this place is a $7.00 ticket. By the way, unless you have a strong battery, bring a backup starter pack, you'll need it unless your car is running the whole time. I couldn't run mine since my DRL stay on.... read more

I went here within the past couple of weeks to see a movie with my boyfriend. He thought it would be fun and different. There was nothing unusual that you wouldn't expect to see at a drive in. The overall experience was a little gross because of the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not kept clean the doors are wide open. There were bugs in the bathroom which is not a good situation especially since people, including myself, tend to drink a lot of soda at the movies. I hate to leave a one star however I've called the stand 5 times and it only goes to Answering machine with no option to talk to anyone. You all should employ someone to go around and explain to people that they have to turn their headlights off and if they don't know how to teach them how to. I can barely see the screen because there's about 3 cars with their lights on. It's the same thing as a normal theater with people on their phones. Really enjoyed it. Nice middle class families...no dangerous individuals which I was actively looking for. I did not use the facilities as I heard they were yucky. We did smuggle in our little dogs, but there is a big sign once you get in that says no pets. Not sure if that means they are allowed in car, but not out of car. The lights on Lake Worth ave are a little bright and distracting. They should have a tarp or something. read more

Most comfortable place to watch a movie, outside of the home. Recline in your car seat or bring some lawn chairs to relax. Bathrooms weren't bad. Concessions are inexpensive. Tickets are just $7. It's a great way watch a movie. The audio for the movie is broadcasted through your radio & if you have a nice sound system in your ride it will sound great. I can see how this way to watch a movie can get old, but I recommend it to people looking for new things to do while dating. read more

Because nothing changes, the bathrooms are exactly the same as they were in the 60's, as is the snack bar with it's old school arcade games.
