Pros: -Good food (focaccia bread, blt w/ avocado) -Cool old building -Bartender comped our first round because the service was slow and they were out of what we originally ordered Cons/Good to Knows: -We (party of 2) sat at the bar to eat before bowling and were told by our server that to bowl, we would just keep our same tab open. It sounded as if we could walk up and bowl whenever we wanted. That was not the case. After sitting at the bar and eating, we asked our server to confirm the process, and he then told us to go check in to get on a waitlist. It was confusing because it contradicted what we had been told before, and we had already been in Bowlounge for about an hour. We could have used the wait time to eat, but we weren't given that opportunity. -I then went to the lane check-in (which I walked by earlier in the evening, but no one was there, so I didn't think it was in use) and asked about the wait time for a lane and was told it would be 1.5 hrs. I seemed surprised, and so worker said, "It's a Friday night, what did you expect?" like it was my fault that we didn't check in for a lane. It was rude, belittling, embarrassing and completely uncalled for. It made me want to leave immediately, as I felt that the communication was intentionally trying to make me feel like I wasn't worthy of their respect or time. A simple, "I'm really sorry about the miscommunication" would have been nice. -There were a lot of aggressive customers (not yet physically aggressive, but argumentative and pushy and loud) in the bar area, so we thought about going and sitting outside, but there were crowds of people smoking mainly cigarettes but also some grass on the porch, and we didn't want to deal with that. The bowling area furniture didn't look comfortable, so we didn't want to sit back there either. -A server walked up behind the bar with a customer's order, and she was chewing food herself. I never want anyone to go hungry, but that grossed me out. Servers should eat where customers cannot see them. Basically, it was disappointing and stressful. I do not plan to return and would not recommend this place if there are not changes in place. I felt as if the aggressive and rude customers were welcomed, and I was just there to bowl and have a good time and felt belittled. We left without bowling and with a sour attitude toward Bowlounge. read more

I found this place on Apple Maps when looking for a venue for a gathering during the evening for a corporate conference. The whole group booking process was great! Pricing was fair, staff was helpful, and the venue was fun with a good lay out and plenty of space to host a party of 30. Kelsey was very helpful with booking and Brittany was awesome and relaxed during our wild check in. Our servers, although I didn't catch their names, were quick, on it, and polite. This is the cutest place! A little bowling alley inside of an old warehouse. Decor is great, lovely Chesterfield sofas and open beams and pipes give this place so much character. It was a Saturday night but very quiet (I think it's still a hidden gem) and they had a really good cocktail menu our drinks were delicious. Don't expect to play here all night as you pay per game not by the hour and being as it was me and my hubby two games flew by. What a fun place to visit! Visited bowlounge on a Saturday night around 8 and it was quiet. They have a seating area where you can eat and drink or lanes to bowl. My group of 3 got a lane immediately and had a waitress serve us. She was very attentive and we were able to order beers immediately. We didn't get any food but the menu looked good. The beers were a great price and they have an expansive local menu which is great. We did have issues with our bowling lane not displaying scores properly/skipping turns but the staff quickly moved us to a different lane. We had issues with the lane they moved us too as well which was annoying but the cheap beer and well priced games/shoe rental made it worth. This place was a new bowling alley for me. Well the the place is very nice and has that factory look. The food looks good. Bowling looked like it was like a 10-15 minute wait. Well everything went wrong. Bowling was suppose to be 20-30 minutes after I signed up. It took little over an hour. While we waited we ordered some wings , fries, pizza, and a burger. Well this stuff was HORRIBLE. The pizza was BURNT. Even 7/11 pizza taste better than that. The burger patty was hard AF. Our wings were suppose to be buffalo with lemon pepper seasoning on them with extra sauce. Well they looked like plain wings with NO SEASONING AT ALL, we didn't even get them like how we wanted them. Oh and they forgot our fries. Also waiters don't even ask how's everything they just run away after they give you the food. Also you have to get up from your table and walk to the bar to order your food. You will just waste your time sitting and waiting. Oh and our waiter had a attitude even though we was being super friendly. There was guest were verbally fighting with the employees. They gave me the same side shoes 2 times. Really expensive too bowl here too. The rest of the employees just look so distracted and lost. It's sad to be honest. I really was expecting a lot from this place. Great place to go bowling very awesome! The scene is low key vining great music videos. It not small as some might think it does have 14 lanes and super clean has a rustic look to it. Once you walk up, the offices on the side are empty so kindly though it was closed but it's open. As you walk inside you have a pool table, Darts, a bar and a few more games. To the right as you walk in you have a outside patio and they're quite a few tables there and you also have a place to play darts! Walking through the back is where the lanes are at and you have 14 lanes and have booths to sit and table counters as well! The place is pretty awesome! Well they were short a server which is understandable as some places run short. I went to the bar to buy a drink for me and a bud and I was looking when then bartender asked me if I needed help. I'm always willing to wait and look rather than him attend me and wait on me and others wait. So he stepped away and I waited for him to return and waited for about 10-15 minutes and I walked away. I came back 10 minutes after and he had people so I waited until he served them all and then he greeted me and asked how I'm doing. I say good and then I asked can I get so and so and then he said hey give me a minute I said sure and he walked away to help someone else. At this point I walk away and don't order anything. Kinda sucks to be short handed if that's the case but maybe help someone who've you've seen come by a few times! Apparently, the number one goal of the staff is to make us feel like we're not welcome there to spend our money. Message received. Disappointing because I have never had a similar experience in the Dallas location. We had called ahead for the birthday party multiple times. I don't know all the details because I was attending(not organizing), but what I do know is that the two staff working on 2/13 treated our party like we were a huge inconvenience and annoyance. Went on a Saturday at 3pm, had a party of 7 so we ended up having to wait for 2 lanes (which I didn't really mind). $7 per game, $4 shoe rental, 2 game limit on weekends/busy hours (not too sure which). The Bowlounge is like step back time. An old warehouse built almost a hundred years ago renovated into a vintage fun zone for adults. This place has only been open two months and, all the downtown and medical district residents love this place. I love that the renovations left some of this place original character. My favorite are the VINTAGE BRUNSWICK PINSETTERS! They actually have someone that will set up your pins. My second time going and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here. Poor customer service and wouldn't honor anything that they had previously mentioned. The manager, DANIEL, big with gray hair and glasses, was very rude and cussing at his customers when he was in the wrong. And the server with the blue hair, blue mask and two blue acrylic nails was very rude as well. They made us pay for two games that we did not get to finish.
