Great cocktail menu, great service, clean bathrooms. LOVE touchtones. Let's not forget to mention the pool table, how fun!

Love, love, love! The Blood Orange Basil Martini is one of the best drinks I've ever had! I love the cozy atmosphere, although I'd say steer clear if you're not into taxidermy. Colleen is the best, she knows exactly weekday I want, when I walk in, love here!

The Lazy Moose is a cozy, Colorado ski lodge feel type of bar. My boyfriend and I went around 7 on a Saturday night. I was expecting high drink prices based on the reviews, but when I saw the menu, I was relieved and a little confused. Have people not been to bars on 7th lately? They charge a lot more than the Lazy Moose and don't have even half the ambience. That being said, management please don't raise your prices. ;) We ordered a beer and a mojito. I told the bartender I was picky on mojitos and I honestly think she made it extra good because of that. It was minty, refreshing, and not too sweet. I even ordered a second. For bites we ordered the warm cherry brie and Lili's gorgonzola fries. Both were very good, although the focaccia bread for the brie was very doughy. Definitely come for happy hour to get a great deal on the fries and other appetizers! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed coming early on a Saturday evening. We met another couple and played pool together. The golf video game was entertaining but expensive. We had excellent service from the bartender the whole time. She was very friendly and made sure everything was to our liking. The Lazy Moose is a great hangout for a date night or friends night. Next time I hope to sit by the cozy fireplace and imagine I'm fresh off the slopes in Colorado.

    Flat Bread Pizza

I ordered the Raspberry Sangria and it was perfect! The Loaded Cheese Fries was amazing as you see finished almost all of them (shareable portion). The Flat Bread Pizza was great and had leftovers. Service was awesome and friendly environment.

This bar is a great place to meet friends and relax by the roaring fire. The Lazy Moose is a quaint little bar serving some spectacular signature drinks (blood orange basil martini)....it's mighty tasty! I'll be back to hang out!

    Chips and dip!

Stumbled upon the Lazy Moose while walking around Magnolia. It was about 6:35 and their happy hour ended at 7 so we walked in. Friday night happy hours are rare to find and theirs is a great deal! We ordered the chips and dip to start with. The homemade chips were crunchy and salted to perfection. The green onion dip tasted like a grown up version of the ranch dip served next to veggies. Our only complaint was there wasn't enough dip it was so good! They had a great selection of happy hour bites ranging from $4-$7 which is a steal. The cone of chips was enough to share between up to 4. They have a full menu as well that was reasonably priced with a Mac n cheese burger for $12.50 I would love to try. We started with the blood orange basil martini and old fashioned. All the cocktails were $6. The old fashioned was perfect according to my boyfriend. The martini had so many flavors it was almost too much. It goes down easy so be careful with these at their price! We stayed past 7 to try another round before going on our way. I had the prosecco mojito ($7) and he had a Rahr blonde. The mojito was minty with a bit of bubbles and not too sweet. I would definitely come back only for that! The decor is hunting lodge chic with a pool table and great fireplace. They give you your check in a small glass so you can move and they can keep track of it all. The entire atmosphere was friendly and casual with reasonably priced and delicious cocktails! I will definitely come back for the great chips though!

Looking for a place to have some after dinner cocktails I found some great reviews on this place. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We started out with a Blood Orange Basil Martini & a Moose Drool Old fashioned. Both were very well portioned and very delicious. Next was a Mojito Prosecco & Real Whisky Sour. OH MY!! Why this place wasn't busier on a Sat night is beside me. The decor and vibe are very relaxed and laid back while the cocktails are a completely opposite punch to your taste buds in a great way. Next trip we will try some grub and some different cocktails. But get here quick and skip the stark place next door that has no real ambience.

The bar wasn't bad they had games to play and Tvs to watch the games. The drinks aren't too badly priced overall was just a regular place.

Ask the Community - The Lazy Moose

There is a piano player here? If so what kind of piano or do they bring their own?

There used to be a great piano player on certain nights. I think management changed up the venue and do no longer have the piano player.

Yelp Elite Event…read more... I tell you, Kendall, once again, you put together such a wonderful evening. It is always wonderful to see our Elite Family. I love West Jax! The environment is relaxing and classy, and it was the perfect place for a night out. Customer Service: Always top-notch! Brittney, our server, was always present and was able to help me choose the perfect drink that matched what I desired. I wanted a Whiskey Sour, and because they did not have that on the menu, she suggested the Smoked Rosemary Blackberry Bourbon Sour. She was spot on; it was delicious, and it was my first time to have a smoked drink. It was different, and every drop was enjoyed. Our entertainment for the evening was Clover the Violinist. She is FULL of talent and kept our tunes going the whole night; she perfectly mastered all genres. I was happy to find out, she plays at that location occasionally. I'd love to support her, when able. She played a bit of SZA, Justin Beiber, Chris Brown, Chris Stapleton, etc. What a great night of entertainment! The Food: Crave Cookies - Thank you, Crave. I appreciate you adding to our beautiful night with your cookies. Perrotti's Pizza: Thank you, Perrotti's. I appreciate you treating us to pizza! What a great night!!

I also like that there's a parking lot in the back.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.
