This place is so much fun. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait up to an hour for a bowling lane to open. Same with pool tables. Bowling is $16 per person & pool tables are $5 per hour. They have great & really cheap food here. They have plenty of seating for eating near the bar & food area or in the bowling lane. They have a full bar, but drinks are pretty expensive unless you're buying their discounted beer. They have a jukebox you can pay to request songs on - a lot of people do but play it at your own risk bc so many people play music. The bowling lanes are well maintained. They have really fun game modes on the screens. I recommend the "Build a Monster" game. They have an arcade located at the entrance that has a few fun games including the punching bag game. I just had my daughter's birthday party there. It was excellent! They have the table set up for you, with a cute welcome sign, and you leave w little party favors provided. We had two lanes side by side reserved and the kids loved it! The pizza was good and they also provide 2 pitchers of soda, sweet tea and water. They cleaned up right afterwards. DO NOT come here with kids. what a nightmare! we came here with 4 children and 4 adults. all 4 children bowled on 1 lane and we needed the bumpers up and it took over 15 mins to make that happen. the ball shot up from the gutter lane and not from the return shoot where it should. so all 4 children had the potential to get hit by the ball which one did. the drinks were watered down, the food frozen and overpriced. we paid $98 for the worst bowling experience of our lives. read more

My friends from church were meeting here. I've seen some pics on Instagram about Cowtown Bowling so, I wanted to check it out. The staff was super helpful. I walked up to the desk and told them my situation. The girl explained, "They might be over in lane 15&16." She was right! What a relief! I didn't have to walk all over the Bowling Alley to find my friends. Then, I snapped a pic of the front desk and the guy was posing for the pic. That's was nice of him. Most people dodge pics. Lol It was a Friday night so it was crowded. It seemed like every lane was occupied. Lights were dim and pins were glowing. The crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. Also, when you program your name for a game it will show your picture. I thought that was a neat feature. If,l were you. I would check out this hidden Bowling Alley in River Oaks. It's an older bowling alley in River Oaks, about what you'd expect. We were there on a Friday night and did not wait long. During the week, it's $8 per person to bowl. I tried to find out pricing on the website and it only had the weekday price listed. So, I was a little surprised it was more on Friday night. Not terribly expensive, but I would have preferred to have been able to find the pricing on my own. The guys behind the desk were great. We didn't order anything at the bar, but it was busy based on the constant "Order ready for..." calls over the PA. The food looked like high school foot ball stadium nachos, etc. The lanes were a bit slippery, and balls a bit oily. The software that keeps score looks like a kids video game. It's been a while since I bowled and maybe this is just how it is now. I could do without the dinosaurs shouting "Party!" when I scored a strike. But idk, maybe that makes it more fun? Overall a pretty positive experience. I think I'd come on a weekday next time for better pricing. read more

Zero if I could. We used to go to place all the time and would drive past several to come here. Last time our lane kept messing up and not dropping the pins for multiple games they finally moved us, after asking numerous times. This time same thing, we bowl for fun but competitively. We asked if we could be moved again, again we bowl competitively and we were smacked in between 2 families, which is fine but bowling curtesy is not much of a thing anymore. We again, just left with over an hour of bowling left to go somewhere else. The owner or manager behind the bar is just a jerk. Multiple of the employees are rude and not considerate. We came here because there was a really good deal on Groupon. For about $24, we got two games of bowling and shoe rental for four people. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there is no wait for a lane. They had lots of little kid birthday parties going on, but it wasn't too crowded. One cool thing they offer is bumpers to select people in your group. Maybe this has been around forever, but I had never had that option. Usually, if you want bumpers everyone in the group has to have them. You can pick who needs them in your group and they pop up for that player only! I that that was awesome! Apparently, this place is been around forever, it's definitely an older bowling alley. It's nothing fancy or nice, but for the bargain we got, we had a lot of fun. Attended grandson's birthday party here and the lanes were set up for the kids with fun scorekeeping software. The staff member taking care of us was phenomenal; very attentive and made sure everyone had what they needed at all times. I didn't get his name but he was great. The pizza isn't the best but it was fine for the kids; it was eaten with no issues. I thought it was very nice the bowling alley also took care of providing the goodie bags for the guests, too. We went here on a whim, we wanted to Bowl and this was the closest place to us in Fort Worth. The area it is in is sketchy, almost scary. Lots of pick up trucks around the parking lot. Anyway, so we went inside and our wait for a lane was only like 5 min, not bad at all for a weekend. They have lanes on the right and left side, and pool, and a bar. So you can eat an drink while playing. We paid Less then $30 for 2 hours! Pretty good. And that included shoes. The lanes were easy, some places have uneven lanes, but this place was easy to bowl. read more

This seems like a nice place to bowl, very busy. We just came to play pool. Tables are old and broken down as well as the cue sticks. No powder for your hands and tables are directly in front of entryway, which makes for a very cold experience in the Winter. Very cheap place to play though. read more

A group of my friends and I came to Cowtown Bowling Center on a Sunday and had a blast! There was great music playing and tons of people and families were there. The price for 2 hours of bowling and shoe rentals came out to about $11, so it was very affordable. Also, there was plenty of parking available so that's always a plus! read more

They remodeled the place and their attitudes! Cowtown Bowling Center has refreshed my sour opinion from my first review. The people who worked there we extremely accommodating and funny. Our lane had two errors while we were bowling and someone quickly came and took care of the issue. It's very clean and the space is super large! The staff was really nice, they said we would wait long for a bowling lane but we didn't! They're really on top of everything and they're really good at accommodating bigger parties. The food from the concession stand was pretty good, margaritas in the salty side but not that expensive . For a party of 5 adults and 5 children and two lanes we spent $102. Not bad if you ask me. Great place to hang out with family and friends! We went last night for my boyfriends birthday and had an amazing time! We had called in advanced this last week to see if they do reservations and they do not on the weekends which is completely understandable. Ryan said he would work with us as soon as we got there and he was able to get us the lanes we needed without a super long wait time. I am extremely grateful for all the help he gave us last night because having to work with about 20 something people can be a stressful situation and he eliminated that from me with ease. Really nice staff and the lanes were sparkling clean. Staff was super attentive to make sure my child & I had the right size balls, also made sure to quickly clean our table and area before the next people came to use the lane. They have a fun scoring system where you choose the theme. Snack bar was also great! Highly recommend. Super good prices too! read more

Want a horrible bowling experience? My friend has two bad shoulders from a teenage injury. At the counter she requested, and was granted, the use of a six pound ball. These balls, according to the sign posted at the counter (and photographed for this Yelp review by myself), are intended for children aged 9 and below AND with adults with special needs. While bowling, she and her husband were approached aggressively and was rudely berated by one of the employees for her use of a light weight ball. The manager at the location attempted to offset the employee's demeanor as "just the way she is, even with us" and claimed that "bad shoulders are not a legitimate cause for use of light weight balls", DESPITE the fact they granted her request upon arrival. How is accommodation of an injury and prevention of further injury NOT a legitimate special need? The use of normal weight balls could complicate my friend's old injury, necessitate further surgery, and cause associated pain & suffering. All of these events occurred after the time of 10 pm, when children are not plentiful in a bowling alley. The hypocritical behavior of the staff and the manager's dismissal of our complaint was entirely unacceptable. We will never be returning here and will be telling all of our families and friends of this experience with some regularity. read more

We love Cowtown bowling. We have a bit of a drive to get here but we don't mind. We always have a good time. The fried pickle spears are great! Prices are affordable for bowling, drinks, and food. Is zero stars an option???? This place used to be great.... I just encountered terrible and by far the rudest service I have ever seen in an establishment. I am a service industry worker myself and the service I have experienced tonight was absolutely disturbing. As their website states, they close at midnight. I was there for hours with a large group and it was 10:15pm, and all we wanted to do was finish our game. However, we were stormed by their staff to "get the f*ck out" as well as the police officer on duty. I have never seen this much disrespect from a failing bowling ally to a large group of guest. Explains a lot..... I will never go back. Along with my fellow bowling friends. You have lost a very large costumer base by word of mouth. At least let our people finish all lanes that they paid for. Last time we went (first time) they didn't want to give us 2 lanes next to each other when we said we would wait for the people next to the open lane so that we could have it. After we began to play, one of the lanes malfunctioned and wouldn't put pins down anymore. We had to ask someone 4 times to fix it! Then it took them an hour to fix it. Very frustrating. This was last April, we will be visiting again soon and hopefully I can leave a better review.... Update: went to bowl tonight and the people that work here have ZERO customer service skills. They were extremely rude to all of us. The only nice ones were the girls working at the food station. Wish they wore name tags so I could tell you who was terrible. The place was so over crowded because they were sticking so many people at one lane! We had 6 people and he would not let us buy 2 lanes. Only one. Because that isn't enough people?? Umm ok if I came in with only my husband and I that's 2 people is that not enough for one lane?? Their logic is dumb as hell. Oh and EXTREMELY over priced. I thought it was $5 per game but it's $5 per person per game plus you have to pay for shoes??? No. If the shoes were free, okay. But $50 for 2 games.. nuts... we will not be coming back again. Ever. We had a work function here and it was my first and last time ever going. The bathrooms were disgusting and in disrepair, the staff seemed like they really didn't care if you were having a good time and the food I got was extremely over priced, bland, and took forever to come out. I know what you're thinking: "Oh come on, it's a bowling center, what do you expect?" Let me tell you what I expect from any business. Good customer service and a clean environment at the very least. Cowtown Bowling Center didn't have either. As for the actual bowling, it was alright. The lanes needed a little less wax but I've also been to places that appear to wax their lanes once a month so they at least have a leg up there. read more
