When I asked whether stopping by today for the 30-day trial would result in a charge, she snapped that it would be a $20 day pass if I'm going for just a day. Fine. I then asked a very basic, reasonable question: if I tried the gym during the 30-day trial and decided it wasn't a good fit, would I still be charged? Instead of answering, she replied, verbatim, "I mean, come on, we're trying to grow a business, honey." Her fixation on "growing the business" came across as aggressively cheap and wildly unprofessional. I kept my composure and kept it professional, unlike the miserable front desk speaker. I repeated my question and she finally confirmed that no, I would not be charged. By that point, the damage was done. I went to try out a different gym and signed up elsewhere! And not to mention the neon green and blue theme would've been a sensory nightmare to be in anyway. It takes real talent to turn a simple question into a reason to lose a customer, but she managed it effortlessly. Ridiculous! And by the way, there is absolutely no way to justify this experience, if the owner tries and responds. She knows exactly what she said, and she most definitely did NOT grow her business today!
