Worst ER I have ever been to. I've had better care in the middle of nowhere Nevada. The nursing staff disregarded my pain and were more focused on moving me to a back corner room so they didn't have to hear my moaning in pain. My wife (who's also a nurse at a different Swedish facility) asked my nurse to call pharmacy and expedite verifying my pain meds but the nurse sarcastically responded "Congratulations, you're a nurse!" Refusing to call pharmacy, and said "We can all hear him screaming..trust me". There were three nurses sitting at the nurses station periodically giggling and looking at their phones when my wife made the request. However the doctor- Casey M Krebs was by far the worst part of my visit. She seemed incapable of creating a care plan and didn't show any urgency. She seemed more focused on pacifying us for the moment and quickly leaving the room than actually helping us understand our options or initiating the process of me transferring to a hospital with urology. We were still asking her questions as she was trying to close the door and leave. It was obvious she did not like it when my wife asked any questions on my behalf, and completely disregarded her concern that the CT results showed severe hydronephrosis. The doctor said "That is not the focus. Im not concerned about his hydronephrosis, Im concerned about his kidney stones." I got such poor care that I decided to leave AMA while still in severe pain and drive to Swedish Edmonds, which was the best decision I made that day. To be honest I'm not sure the staff at Mill Creek even knew the process of transferring me, let alone doing it quickly. Once I arrived at Edmonds they took my case seriously from the start, scheduling me for emergency surgery the next day to remove the obstructive stone. My pain was well managed and my whole care team was incredibly skilled and empathetic. I am still completely disheartened with my experience at Mill Creek and would advise ANYONE considering it to go anywhere else. read more

Freight care by the physician and staff at the emergency department. Unfortunately Eastside emergency physicians billing company is horrible. My injury was work related and understate law covered by labor and industry. I have now received my fourth bill and demand letter from the emergency physicians group requesting payment for my services to the physician. I was finally able to make contact with a person at the billing company who was able to speak and articulate in English. My next step will be to file a lawsuit if this is not resolved. read more

Believe the 1-STAR REVIEWS HERE!! Since I have had to go here to the ER several times now, I really CAN NOT believe anyone has had more than a 2-star experience in this ER. The intake staff is actually pretty nice at this ER and that's the end of it. From start to finish it is an exercise in incompetence. I have been there for injuries like concussions, fractures, and other serious things. I understand that doctors aren't going to hang out in your room and chitchat and that everyone working there is pressed for time. The intake guy has no bedside manner whatsoever and unless you're having a heart attack or stroke you get unceremoniously shoved right back out into the waiting area. I have sometimes felt unheard & often felt dismissed. In several cases I actually feel like I'm an annoying burden- like you're not dying WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE? Several times there was vast miscommunication between the attending staff on my visits making things very confusing and problematic from everything between the medications and my treatment to my dismissal. Wait times were incredibly long. One time when I had a fracture I waited for 6.5 hours by myself. I have to ask questions to clarify because they just rattle everything off to you in a hot second not taking into consideration that you're cold, in pain, tired, feeling sick, & alone. Like patients need some process time. Then it conflicts which what the doctor just said. Ultimately, I have had very bad advice medicine-wise and my PCP and physical therapist have both been shocked by the poor advice and care I have received here. After leaving here with crutches, NO CARE PLAN was given to me AT ALL. ****Also I gave them my L&I billing claim number AT INTAKE for one injury and they WOULD not bill properly. I got multiple bills to my insurance and home address and called and called them and emailed them repeatedly!!! I had to have my lawyer call them!!!!! ***The lab here on the second floor: Do not go. Go anywhere else. Also do not rely on the promise of their voice recording saying they're "open." I've done that only to go all the way there and find it CLOSED. read more

They prescribed me a Medicine that has contraindications to things I am diagnosed with and also Have a previous allergy to. I called and they said to see what the pharmacy says . So the pharmacy's advise is take it and see what happens . I call back the emergency room and they want me to come back in to get a new prescription . Oh sure spend another 3k . They say the doctor on staff wasn't there now . They didn't get my name even . What time I was there .... I am totally not impressed with this place. Looking over the reviews ... they clearly don't care or read them . So I would skip this and go to a hospital that is more thorough. I was in for flank pain and the doctor literally karate chopped my side . I have a kidney infection . If you know I have just told you where I am in pain would you give me a chop to the area ? Then I say I had a reaction to Bactrim . That I got a really high fever and she says "to antibiotic ? Next question "so have you taken kaphlex ? " . I say not sure , but I am allergic to penicillin and I have ulcerative colitis. She prescribed me A prescription for a medicine that is not suitable for either . Sometime after midnight on the 25th, my husband took me to Swedish Millcreek ED to assess my extreme abdominal pain. They did a CT and a bunch of labs, and then this completely dismissive and rude doctor came in and told me I had colitis and an ovarian cyst and she was sending me home. Despite the morphine, I was is incredible pain and in tears. I asked what pain meds I'd go home with and she said, "None. If your pain comes back, go to the ED." *If* the pain returns??? I felt completely unheard and ignored and headed home. When the meds had completely worn off, it was unbearable. I tried to see if my doctor could see me, but she said I needed urgent care. So off I went. Unfortunately, they said I needed to go to the ED. They said I never should have been released and that I needed to go the hospital. But when they took my vitals, my B/P was 80/40 and my pulse was 118. They said I had to be taken to Swedish First Hill via AMBULANCE. At first Hill, I was treated with the utmost respect. They listened to me and looked at my clinical picture, and determined that I was septic. I was admitted to first Hill in the SOI building in the afternoon/evening. Again, everyone was a very, very kind to me and listen to me and I felt heard. This however was a very traumatic situation. To think that if I had listened to that first doctor, I could've gone home to die. I am so glad that I listened to my gut. I was in the hospital until today, January 29th. I can't even tell you how much I've cried in the last few days. Knowing that I had been sent away without even being heard and being completely dismissed by a female doctor!? They treated me like I was some sort of drug addict. My husband said that he could see the distain on the Doctor's face when I asked if she would send me home with pain medicine. I shouldn't have been surprised that I was being dismissed like a hysterical woman, because that's where society is these days. But now that I'm home and I'm not under the spell of all the medications that I had to take, I am furious. I am hurt. I am confused. I am traumatized. What makes me even more sick is that I work for Swedish. I'm a nurse at Swedish. I know when I'm getting given the cold shoulder. I'm including some rediculous things that she said in her note which I read. She repeatedly says that I appear comfortable. She repeatedly says that I am in no acute distress. False. Every conversation that I had with her was while I was crying in pain. At no point during that entire visit did I appear comfortable. I was pale and I was sick and in pain, and I was very upset. This woman sent me home to die. She literally sent me home to die. I want to file a official complaint. I don't know what that process involves, but I am not holding back on this one. I am a nurse so I know about the system and I know how you can navigate it, but if I wasn't, I definitely would've gone home to die. I know this is a long rant, but I just need to get it out and I'm still really not feeling very well. I will never in 100 years go back to that emergency room. This was my 3rd year going to this location for my annual boob squeeze, and every time, it's so easy and streamlined. The tech I've always seen, Alex, is so friendly and professional. She's extremely good at her job, and always makes me feel comfortable. Check in is simple. The environment is clean and they are keeping up with COVID precautions. Went to ER for possible sinus perforation following a full mouth extraction procedure. Never got to see an actual doctor. The nurse who saw me looked inside my mouth but did not do any imaging at all, despite telling me that just because he couldn't see it, didn't mean I did not have one. Refused to prescribe any antibiotic to ward off getting an infection before I can get back to oral surgeon who's clinic is not taking after hours calls (today is Sunday). I went for chest pain, stomach pain, I have a lump in my chest that has continued to get bigger and more painful. Dr walked into my room and said 'Everyone has a bone called xiphoid process in their chest, it's not painful, some are more pronounced and some are more sunken depending on the person. Anything else you need?' Dr Gregory P Garcia is his name. This man came back into my room AFTER my CT and said after he had time to look it up that xiphoid could actually be painful and cause discomfort. I had come in after being continually ill from some sort of stomach flu. I was checked in and brought back within 10 minutes which was rad. However, once I was in my room I was greeted by a nurse who was just really off putting. She was annoyed by me having to constantly use the restroom...when I shared my symptoms it was almost as if she thought I was making it up. She was cold and rude. When I say constantly in and out of the bathroom, I mean every 5-10 minutes I was up... it was awful. She kept yelling at me about putting my mask covering on while i was actively trying to puke. How am I supposed to puke with my mask on or hold in my puke so she can insert an IV? Clearly this isn't a place anyone wants to be...so it's not like "I won't be back." because obviously no one wants to be here... but the level of service displayed by this nurse was terrible. Also, the front desk lady came in and was trying to get me to pay my copay right then and there between all the mess....it was gross. I hadn't even been given medication to relieve my nausea at that point... terrible experience. Turns out I had 3-4 stomach viruses at once....the doctor and his shadowing intern were much kinder however they found out I work in the cannabis industry and tried to tell me cannabis use was a factor. Must of been really shocking when my drug screen came back clean... a lot of assumptions made by this medical staffing and I understand that is their job...but yikes. Maybe the demographic/people/patients in Everett have given them a tainted view...but, patient care FIRST should be addressed in the next staff meeting.... Yikes! read more

Went to the ER on 02/14/205. Dr. Lee was very rude. I told her about an abscess I had on my ovaries in September that I was nervous about because I was having anormal discharge and bleeding. She did a routine check even though I told her multiple times that the walk in did that, and everything is negative, and they told me to go the ER. After she did anther routine check she said everything was negative and I can go home. When the nurse came in with the discharge paperwork I started crying because no one is helping me. The nurse got Dr. Lee to do a blood test and Ultrasound ... Found out from the ultrasound there is something wrong... she almost just let me go home without proper care. Don't be a doctor if you don't care about your patients. Dr. Lee said, "I have stricture that's causing the discharge but since I'm not septic I can go home" If I didn't push for an ultrasound, they wouldn't have found out what was wrong with me. read more

You will not get better treatment at any other ER facility than here. I'm unfortunately not blessed with the greatest of health so in the few times that I or my family has needed urgent attention we've most of the time gone here. A few other times where a long drive was too dangerous we've gone to other ER locations and nearly all other locations had us waiting 6-8 hours till we saw doctors, even after being told we were top priority in triage due to the degree of concerning symptoms. Here you can have merely a sore stomach and you will see treatment in the first 30 minutes. For everyone I care about, I will drive them to this location first no matter what. TL;DR - if you have any other option for emergency help, and I do mean any other option (voodoo priest, Aunt Sue the Doula, etc.), take it. Don't let EMTs bring you here. Gather round, friends, for I have a harrowing tale to share. I was taken by ambulance to Swedish Mill Creek ER. While it was lovely that they immediately put me in a room, the happiness stopped there. The EMTs took me in because I was experiencing generalized aches, specific sharp pains in essential areas, a massive headache, dangerous dehydration, mental confusion/fogginess, weakness, and balance problems. I was not in a good way. I had to ask where I was twice because I couldn't hold on to a thought for more than a few seconds. The doctor spun through for a few seconds and ordered two tests. COVID and a urine test. I sat in my little room alone for 90 minutes while they were running the tests. No nurse checked up on me, no one offered me so much as a pillow or a glass of water. The lights were glaring, and I was growing more and more distressed. Finally, the doctor returned, told me it was a UTI and handed me a PAPER PRESCRIPTION for a generic antibiotic before bolting from the room. Who does paper anymore? What a hassle. Ah, but the worst was yet to come. Kelsey the "Nurse" returned with my discharge papers. I was shocked. I was a literal wreck, and they were turfing me to the curb because now I knew what was causing this crisis. I was in a worse state than when I arrived because I'd spent all that time sitting in a hot room being ignored and getting emotional about that fact. I asked if they could help me resolve any of the symptoms that brought me there. The answer? No. I thought I had misheard. I came to them for help because the EMTs agreed I was in crisis. Instead of help, they gave me a piece of paper and kicked me out. At the very least, toss me some ibuprofen and maybe put a saline drip in until my lips weren't so dry they cracked, and my skin was less papery. When I tearfully asked Kelsey for help, her response was, "what other tests do you want us to run?" WHAT??? This is not about tests, this is about offering a small amount of succor to someone in a bad state who came to you for help. I pushed. Tearing up. She doubled down. Told me to drink some sleepy-time tea (what???), and find a Tylenol when I got home. I gave up. I stumbled to the parking lot, where an uber picked me up and brought me home. Maybe there is some dipshit policy that they can't help people out in less it's a stroke or heart attack. If so, change it because your poor service turned me into a vocal critic determined to hold you accountable for this travesty. Wow! I went in last night for symptoms of a UTI, I've never had such fast and efficient care. Everyone was super polite and I was seen to a room immediately. I didn't even have to sit in the waiting area. They took my sample tested it got a prescription with the usual questions and out the door in 45 minutes possibly less. Everything was clean being sanitized as I sat there I watched people go by taking the dirty laundry out wiping down every surface that they touched and of course most of them had N95 masks on. I was seen 5/29/23 at Swedish Millcreek Emergency for a finger laceration. Dr Garcia gave me stitches and said to come back in 10 days to get the stitches out and that it would not be a separate charge. I came back on 6/8/23 like I was told but was billed an emergency room visit AND a physician charge just to get 5 stitches removed? I never would have gone to an ER to get stitches out if I wasn't told to. I would have gone to a walk-in clinic had I not been told my stitch removal was not going to be a separate charge. This is unacceptable and not fair. My dispute was denied. I've filed a clinical QI complaint and no response. I don't trust Swedish/Providence at all with my future care. read more

The doctors here in registered nurses are fabulous, but the front desk woman that decided to choose a quick nursing career and hate their job are ruining the great experience we all had before they started working. I am so sorry to place this review, but I had pnumonia and had 80% sepsis on my blood and I told them I was having chest pain, they were about to not x ray me and send me home!! I only showed up to have some blood drawn, and compared to pretty much every other lab I've been to, it's no better or worse. It's just A-ok. Then again, the phlebotomist (who is working the desk and the needles with zero help) is pretty darn friendly--almost to a fault when you desire efficiency and the person ahead of you is chatting away. But, she is nice and AMAZING at drawing blood. She said, "You'll feel a prick." And, well, I didn't. That has only happened once before, so put her up with the rockstars. Bottom line: This is a hospital with all its bells and whistles, but I just got my blood drawn, and I'm just fine. read more

Took my son to the ER because he's been complaining about hand pain and saw he doesn't play with that hand much. Took him in, waited over an hour to get in. Took his vitals and the nurse asked if he was vaccinated I said No and she scooted away from him and didn't even come close anymore. Then out we went to wait again for a longer time now. This time I waited like 20 mins for a doctor, came saw and walked out. They came to take X-rays and disappeared for more than an hour! My kid was getting tired and wanted to go home as soon as I'm walking out and nurse get outs from behind her desk to telL me that he's just has a sprain and he can go and POINTED AT THE DOOR! Didn't even wrapped his hand to stabilise it. Got Treated like Crap because my kid isn't vaxxed!!! Then went to my PC and she asked why his hand wasn't wrapped and I said no idea because the ER doctor said Nothing to me about it and just pointed to the door! Same thing with a sibling couple week later, fractured toe. Didn't even put a toe wrap on it or tel him to go get him one. And told him where the door is and he literally HOPPED OUT of the hospital because she wouldn't give him the wheelchair. What is going on with them!? I went in a couple days ago letting them know my chest was in extreme pain and that I have been extremely dehydrated for quite a few days now and my 1 year old twins were doing extremely bad as wall. all they did was check my back in two spots up top didn't check anything else and didn't give me fluids or anything! my husband took my twins into children's hospital and they were admitted right away! one twin had to stay one night the other twin is still there due to an extreme case of RSV! i have pneumonia and am being hospitalized as well. safe to say we will NEVER be visiting that hospital again. got sent home after 10 minutes of being seen! read more

I never write reviews but I felt the need here. I've been here in the past and they were great. And actually everyone was very nice except for my nurse. Her name was Sue or Susan. She was not nice, just cold, heartless, and rude. I wanted to ask her if I'd done something to upset her (even though I've never met her). And she wasn't just having a stressful or bad day. I could see and hear outside my room talking and laughing to co-workers about her grandchildren. I work in the medical field and know how stressful things can get. However, I felt like I was an inconvenience, and had to justify why I was there. Came in this morning at 3:00am, out by 3:40. Needed to get an ingrown hair drained. Lovely but want to be clear in my review as I know stomach and head stuff that requires testing can take longer and leave more disappointments. Staff was friendly and quick (it is early early morning ), not busy. Very impressed with the friendliness and cleanliness of the facility. I'm very picky and fearful when visiting doctors and was almost going to drive 20 minutes further to Evergreen just because I trust them. I am glad I saved time by coming here and gave it a try. Excellent and responsive team beginning with check-in all the way to discharge, totally impressed. As busy as it was with covid patients and what appeared to be a full waiting room, the wait to see a clinician was minimal. Nurses "lamilian(??), andy and one other whom I failed to get her name were very thorough and helped to cushion the anxiety of being there, and can't say enough for the emergency medicine dr Evan Randall who presided over my care. Made me feel like I was the only one there, excellent bedside manner and was attentive to all my concerns. Overall, my team was proficient and effective! I work in the administrative side of healthcare and from what I saw and experienced was first-rate from start to finish. I took my 3-year old son here after he cut himself badly right next to his eye. The cut wouldn't stop bleeding and I was scared to death. We arrived about 11:15pm and got right in. The Physician's Assistant stitched up his cut and we were done. My son got to pick out a new stuffed animal from their collection, which was a great distraction for him. A few days later we went to our personal physician to have the stitches removed. Our doctor said the PA at Swedish did a beautiful job on the stitches and the cut should heal up nicely, which it has. I will be forever grateful for having a 24-hour hospital like this in our neighborhood. Thank you to everyone who helped us that night. Also, this 24-hour hospital has only been in the area a couple of years. Many people don't realize it's there and that it's open 24 hours. It is a beautiful facility, clean and I have never heard of anyone having to wait very long to get in. I will definitely go back if there is an emergency in our future (knock on wood there isn't) and I have recommended this facility to several people who have all had positive experiences. read more

This ER was horrible to my family member. The receptionist lied to my Aunt and to I. The doctors and nurses rushed my sister out with only doing minimum work up. I am so sick to my stomach with how staff was to my family, and I am a nurse and have been one for ten years. If you want a medical problem to be addressed stay away go to any other hospital. I'll start with the only pros I can share . Their facility is beautiful and you will get seen at the ER immediately. We go here out of convenience and habit however this last visit with my 5 year old son confirmed our time will be better spent driving to Children's. My son fell while playing and broke a tooth with a shard jammed in his gums and his chin and lips bleeding. We arrived just after 5pm on a Saturday and the first nurse we met with informed me they did not handle dental (duh) and then asked me why I brought him in. The doctor treated us better and prescribed antibiotics to help reduce risk of infection. Swedish Hospital ER in Mill Creek was top notch today. They went after an issue my son had in an efficient and professional manner. From the admissions desk, to the nursing staff, to the Doctor -all were excellent. The facility is high end. I worked on the new Swedish Hospital building in Seattle and this has the same high end infrastructure. read more
