Drop off in the morning when they open and you will get a call sometime at the end of the day. Speak to Vern and he will quote you or let you know he must check your vehicle. I highly recommend this shop to everyone I know. We have taken three of our vehicles to Sweeney's to weld the catalytic converter to cage/protect to making it a little more difficult to remove. I went on Yelp and found Sweeney's. Verne (owner) & Duane took the time to explain my options. They worked w/ me and my insurance company and made this painful (long) process as pleasant as possible. Talked to both Vern and Alvin who are genuine guys. Even though they were backed up, they managed to squeeze me in by the time promised which is awesome. I wanted a CAT shield put in which they had in stock and he showed me on the lift after the installation to answer any other questions I had. Straightforward. Done and done. Came her about a year ago when I had my stock muffler welded back on to my Lexus is250. They did a great job then! I returned with my 16' Ram1500 to have some 5" muffler tips installed. I called on a Monday and Alvin asked me to come in and take a look at options. I was adamant that I wanted 5" tips. They didn't have any in stock but said they could get them to the shop the SAME DAY! As I needed to get to work, i told him that wasn't necessary. But he said they'd arrive anyway. I told them I'd return the next day. Sure enough. I arrive Tuesday morning, tips were there and he was ready to install them. Luckily for me there was no wait as they just opened up. About 30 minutes later my tips were on!! And they look dang good on my RAM and the fitment and job was done perfectly. Don't hesitate to get any exhaust work done here! Had a great experience at this establishment. I went in originally to have a catalytic converter shield installed after having my catalytic converter stolen and (I thought) repaired at another facility. It turns out the other facility ripped me off and did an illegal repair and Vern was the one who had the unfortunate task of letting me know. He replaced the catalytic converter and installed the shield the same day in not a lot of time and took the time to show me what the last repair guy had done and the new legal one that he installed on my car. It was a very expensive lesson, but I was glad to have found this shop when I did. Highly recommended. read more

Took care of my truck. I had a bad muffler and they were able to take care of it the same day pretty quickly and for a good price.

Someone tried to steal my cat and cut the pipes in three places. Fortunately they didn't get it but I had to get it repaired and one of my community leaders recommended these guys to me and I am so ever thankful he did. Verne and Alvin are total pros and really kind. Their prices are really good and their work is even better! Don't hesitate in getting work done with these guys. If I could give 0 stars I would. Long story short these guys are frauds paid 1,000 for both my catalytic converters to get replaced. They only replaced one with a after market part that didn't even fit/work they welded it on my exhaust pipe so to get it properly fixed ( both cats and my messed up exhaust pipe it would be 3 grand at Chevy. I emailed them multiple times and called they gave me the runaround and wouldn't abide by the 4 year warrantee. I told them when jt initially wasn't working they made me bring it in & said "yup it's not working right" but that they couldn't fix it unless I had a diagnostic and tried to make me go to their sketchy mechanic but I didn't I went to Chevy n they told me how I had one original cat from Chevy & a after market cat and horrible welding done to attach the aftermarket cat bc it didn't fit . So they basically swindled me. Later that day I called as a "customer" and asked if they would replace one with Chevy n one with after market they said "never" so I told the owner my situation n all he said was well too do your warrantee it's a long ordeal we'd need your car over the weekend n send the cat to Gm which isn't true it's bc it's an "after market part"!!! Also to the owners and anyone else it is ILLEGAL in the state of California to put an aftermarket part in a car w/o stating it on the paper work it's aftermarket which you didn't. I've emailed multiple times no response and when I call they always say oh we were "going to get back too you" even though Everytime I emailed I wait a week to email back or call again due to their lack of response / no response AT ALL. And I no longer want your business bc I don't trust you all as a company I WANT MY MONEY BACK and I reported you to the better Business Bureau, I'm going to sue so good luck guys. If I were you just go somewhere else. read more

My catalytic converters was almost completely off and ready to be taken away. My neighbor heard the saw and scared them away. With a little twist and pulling it fell off completely. Brought the part to Sweeney's and had it back to normal in less than 30 min. The 5 star reviews are right on, I highly recommend this place. Honest and reasonable. read more

Got my catalytic converter stolen on a Tuesday from being parked at work. My mechanic of many years - Luchi from Arco on 3900 Sepulveda only recommended Sweeney's. So I totally trust Luchi - I called Sweeney's - talked to Verne. Told him what happened and lol I think he was more mad than I was! Took my bronco in for a full custom exhaust. New 3" tubing new cats new muffler. Everything fit really good all welds were good all exhaust hangers are strong with no vibration. A bit on the pricey side but for quality work it's worth the money. I'd recommend to friends. read more
