Ordering was quick and easy, I came in with photos and was able to text them to the baker which was convenient. The cake tasted just as great as it looked and at a great price, highly recommend them. 4/17/2020: I wanted a custom cake that I could drop off for a friend since we can't currently celebrate their birthday like "normal" due to social distancing rules. I messaged Doolee's via Facebook with the idea for a Tiger King themed cake and they sent an invoice I could pay online without ever going in, such a simple process! The cake was just what I asked for. They always do a phenomenal job!

I had to make a couple of follow up calls for a sketch of the gold brick shaped cake my God daughter wanted for her golden birthday, and so they would take my credit card info to complete the order because communication was lacking. I paid ahead because I'd be out of town until Sunday and someone else would have to go to collect the $70 cake to feed 15-20 people on Saturday before they closed. Unfortunately when they collected, it looked more like a standard rectangle than the brick she sketched out, the words were poorly done - some illegible and they were inconsistent heights. It looked like an elementary aged kid had wrote the letters and we ended up buying sprinkles to try and disguise the poorly written, very amateur words. The person picking up the cake couldn't get ahold of me when they did because I was on a plane, and when I called back to express my disappointment I had to leave a message because they were closed. 1 week later and still no phone call back. The ONLY thing that makes this a LITTLE less annoying is that the cake at least tasted good - snickerdoodle and chocolate. I would avoid unless you're buying something they already made, because the skill and customer service level was lacking, and clearly they don't care to make things right when they underdeliver.

And while the other one is great and fabulous, this one is one star better. A huge selection of baked goods, coffee, decor, clothing, drinks and more. The Kissing Pig Cafe has so many food options, too! Mrs. K. has not had a kolache in years and she's now pescatarian which presents certain challenges. It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure! Excellent selection of kolaches and klobasneky. You can also buy sandwiches. Minus: as on previous visits, I have found that they are often out of poppyseed and prune kolaches. Not the servers' fault but you would think management would be keen to bake more of what sells most. Then there are the sandwiches. If you want pork, you'll get value. But if you want brisket, look out! I've never seen a more miserly portion offered for 13 dollars. I understand that brisket is expensive now. But I still get it at various restaurants and have to say that it was a five dollar sandwich for thirteen bucks. Additionally, the sandwich maker apparently does not know what and order for "moist" brisket means. Mine proved rather dry.

Have come here a few times now and can confidently say it's my favorite kolache spot in the area!…read more The sausage bacon jalapeño cream cheese is a must on every visit, probably the best kolache I've ever had. Really makes me wonder why cream cheese isn't used in more savory kolaches. Outside of that one they have a wide selection that has consistently provided hits when I try something new. The bread quality is really good, and they don't skimp on the meats either. I will say their savory quality is a touch higher than the sweet, particularly on the bread, but the sweet are also quite good and have a crazy array of options. I think this spot is super overlooked and is well worth giving a try. I've never run into a line here so if you're tired of waiting at other close by places I'd highly recommend driving the extra block to give this spot a try

Their bakery counter is STUFFED FULL of goodies. I wouldn't do them justice by trying to name everything they have. Cakes, cookies, savory & sweet kolaches, cinnamon rolls the size of your face in at least 20 varieties, & more! It's one of those things you just need to see for yourself! No frills about it. Just good, small & local! I got a the pecan cream cheese cinnamon rolls- 5/5 - just wanted to try it so we split it in 4. So good slightly heated up. Also got ham & cheese kolaches. The bread is best I've had. The ham is not cheap deli sliced ham - it's actual ham ground up. The meat to cheese ratio was a little off for my preference (stuffed full of meat, needed a little more cheese to help cut the salt) but I plan to go back and try more when passing through again. They had some boxes of day old product for discounted price. Go check them out!
