I've eaten inside and ordered from their drive through. The service has always been professional and with a smile. I prefer ordering from the many options available inside the small but quaint restaurant with artwork on the walls. Also nice place to hang out with a coffee. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! My husband and I just had Valentine's Day dinner here and were treated HORRIBLY. My husband ordered a chimichanga that he usually orders and loves and part of it tasted moldy. We told the waitress and she said she'd check with the chef. She never follows up with us and after a long time just hands us the bill. I asked if she had asked the chef about it and she l said it was a brand new package that had just gotten delivered. Basically treated us like we were wrong. We paid the full bill and went home. When I got home I called and asked to speak to the owner. I tell Delise the story and she cuts me off and says "I don't know what the HELL you're talking about -- there was MOLD?" And then she hangs up on me!!!!! I tried to call back a number of times and it went straight to voicemail. We've had a number of weird experiences at this restaurant and this takes the cake. Never ever going here again. Will tell everyone I know in the area to do the same. read more

I have been here twice - once for lunch and then again this past week for dinner. The food is excellent, so many options - including gluten free! The drinks are strong and good, can't beat that combination. The reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 was merely because both times, once the restaurant got busy, we lost the attention of our server and had to wait quite a while after being done to ask for and then pay the check. Food fantastic. Two of us had the chicken artichoke burrito another person had spicy beef and another linguini with chicken and ? Everything was great. Good beer choices, specialty drinks and wine available. My only negative comment is we were seated near the kitchen which we had not on previous visits. Stopped here for the first time today. Hard to find - Look for a large wooden sign behind sidewalk. Great lunch menu of various international offerings (Cuban, Oriental, Italian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern). Also interesting breakfasts and Bakery items. Service was quick but not too friendly. An OK evening at Sweet Basil. Service was fast and our server was great. Portion sizes were outstanding. The coconut chicken and shrimp on a skewer were really tasty. Prices were good. But ....we had nachos that were average and just piled on the plate. The chicken and shrimp were presented on a pile of greens with a smattering of julienne veggies that didn't work. But what really didn't work was the loud rock music that seemed to be coming out of the open kitchen. What was up with that? Totally went against the cool decor and eclectic menu. Frat party? Yes. Wait staff is terrible and rude. When we asked for a few chips to finish our side of guacamole, which we fully expected to pay at least $2 to $3 for, the waitress rudely retorted we would pay the $6.95 for chips anywhere. And that the charge came from her boss! Won't be back. read more

I have been here so many times and have had the strangest experiences. First off every time my family orders an appetizer we never get it, we aren't charged for it thank god but its like clock work. One time we came and a drunk man wandered in off the street and started shouting at everyone. It was bizarre and no one did anything. The food is cooked with western vibes and southern flavors. Great place!!! Started with a chilled strawberry mint soup, and then had a delicious chicken artichoke flauta. Desserts looked excellent but didn't have room. My mother and I went here for dinner one Friday night. Make sure you check the hours and call ahead because their hours are specific/change and they often fill up on a weekend night. The ambiance of the place is very nice-quaint, lots of homemade jams and jellies lining the counters, cozy lights, cool artwork. After a small wait (we forgot to make a reservation) we were seated at a table. I love being served water straight away which we were. There are lots of interesting menu options and nightly specials. For a starter, we ordered the special thai noodle rolls which were delicious, flavorful, and very filling. We then ordered burritos for the main dish which were huge, but not very flavorful (tasteless in some bites). For dessert, we had an extremely delicious sundae of vanilla icecream with caramel and toffee bits- phenomenal! The pricing seemed strange though as the dessert was almost as much as the main dish and not nearly as big (splitting it among two people made the portion very small). Overall, the experience was a pretty good one. The dessert and appetizer were delicious. The main courses were nothing to write home about but I definitely plan on coming back to try others and update the experience. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful. My wife and I stopped in on a recent Friday evening. Being a local this time of year can be hard to find a place to eat with all the tourists up. They fit us in. My husband and I went to this restaurant several months ago and it was sadly very disappointing. After several people recommending this restaurant, my husband and I decided to check it out. I had a chicken & artichoke wrap, which the wrap was cold and all of the other ingredients tasted like it just came straight out of a can. My husband had the chimichanga, which was better, but it was completely imbalanced in flavor. Service was good, but we were the only ones there. I would not recommend this restaurant, definitely go somewhere that at least put a bit more effort in cooking their food. read more
