I opted for the maple walnut and toasted almond topped with hot fudge and whipped cream. Definitely recommend! Attached to Vinny's so surprised I've never been here before. Service was very friendly and it's a clean, sweet smelling cute shop. They make their own which is nice compared to some of the other new shops in the area. They had some great flavors, favorites and otherwise. We took home hand-packed pints and enjoyed all 4 flavors we chose: peanut butter Reece's, pumpkins Oreo, raspberry chocolate chip, and Twix. I would've given 5 stars except all the flavors were vanilla-based as opposed to being peanut butter, raspberry, etc. read more

There is a small parking lot they share with a deli and shop on either side, and I suspect they're a popular stop after sports teams get out for the evening. We had the most enjoyable ice cream after a gorgeous summer day this holiday weekend, visiting family in Connecticut. Sweet Cream's in Wallingford had an impressive list of flavors, the usuals as well as innovative flavors such as Rice Krispy Treat, and Nutella flavor. It's right next door to a deli, so it's both easy and hard to miss at the same time, depending on your mood, but they have some amazing flavors. I probably gained a few pounds because of the ice creams here as I was frequenting the place for having their non-dairy ice creams almost every week during the summer. They have 2-3 non-dairy ice creams options unlike other ice cream places around. My husband liked their pineapple orange ice cream so much so that he wanted to have that often until they stopped having that flavor when fall started. This is a great local ice cream shop! It's everything that anyone could ask for in ice cream, all from the creaminess in every scoop and to the friendliness of the staff. There isn't as many seats and tables inside as I would have hoped but the entire building is old & the shop only gets half of it so it's a bit narrow. Came here after a couple drinks from the nearby New England Cider Company. Had to mix things up with a sweet treat of ice cream in a waffle cone and toppings. It was a small store front right across from a gas station and a BBQ place. Parking seem to be ample next door to it as we walked in, we were greeted by the nice aroma of waffle cones. We had a lot to decide from but I ended up getting a mint cone with some sprinkles, homemade whip cream and a cherry. Others in my party had cake batter, dulce de leche and one more flavor that slips my mind. The waffle cones said that they were homemade but maybe it was late in the day but they didn't taste very fresh. The whip cream though was a pleasant surprising; light and fluffy but not too sweet. Im curious on how the place handles the summer rush when it happens. I'll stick with getting ice cream when no one is around. Nice way to end the Sunday. read more

It is a bit stiffer than we are usually accustomed to, but it stands up to the hot fudge and even as a take-out item, it arrives home intact. So delicious! Lots of options, including a freezer cake that has different seasonal treats. Does anyone remember the Carvel flying saucers? On one occasion, they had these in the case, so we couldn't resist taking them home. Don't be put off by the construction nearby. Came here for the first time to try some ice cream close to home. They didn't have the flavor I was hoping to get, but that was fine. I settled for banana Oreo and it was pretty good. Compared to other ice cream places in the surrounding areas, the serving size wasn't fantastic, but the flavor overall was pretty good. The service, however, left much to be desired. The young woman that helped my girlfriend and I seemed like she would have rather been anywhere else. She didn't speak very loud so it was hard to hear the answers to our questions and she had a bit of an attitude. The experience was altogether not a great one. OMG this place is SO good! Absolutely fantastic ice cream, tons of flavor choices, plus reasonably priced so you really can't ask for a better spot. You're craving ice cream? Think no further and stop by Sweet Cream's! They do the name justice because this is seriously some of the creamiest ice cream I've ever had and I've had way more ice cream in my life than I'd like to admit. Some of the flavors we've tried so far have been slightly more on the mild side though still top notch. So far we've tried black raspberry (to die for if you like the flavor), coffee brownie fudge (perfect level of sweetness), sweet cream (some of the better sweet cream we've had), Mango cream (definitely can tell it's made with real mangoes and not fake flavor), banana cream pie (literally the best flavor we've tried here so far, insanely delicious), Nutella chip (smooth mild Nutella flavor), oreo peanut butter (delicious though beware the peanut butter flavor is a bit mild), and cake batter (again slightly milder than what you may get but truly the texture is perfection). My mother loves orange pineapple ice cream. She is 99 years old so I went here to get it because she told me someone had taken her there and they had this unusual flavor. They did not have it. The clerk behind the counter was unfriendly. I think I was interrupting her quiet day. There was no other customers. Phenomenal. I might go so far as to say this is the best hard ice cream I've ever had. So incredibly creamy, fresh, and high quality. Between the three of us, we had sweet cream, strawberry, banana, nutella chip, and mint chocolate chip, and all were above and beyond. The whipped cream is fresh and delicious. I truly love how ice cream can serve (no pun) as a guide on your exploration of the vibrant flavors and combinations available to the human taste spectrum. I also love how Sweet Cream's is able to consistently deliver a seemingly unlimited variety of incredible combinations, from chocolate brownie peanut butter swirl to toasted vanilla and salted caramel. Their menu changes every few weeks and it is a blessing for my exploration nature and a curse to my waistline that this parlor is located just a few blocks from where we live. This is simply the best ice cream I have had in the area hands-down and I can't recommend it enough. The owner and his wife and family run the place and are incredibly friendly - make sure, if paying credit, you ask to add a tip to your order (the receipt doesn't automatically give a place to add one). Also, if you want to enjoy one of the best brownies ever made, grab one from the fridge to the left of the cash register.
