I usually get my first drink at a place at whatever the recommended sweetness level is to get a feel for the baseline sweetness level, and Tea Time is sweeter than I am used to, but they do offer sweetness adjustment, so that's just something to keep in mind. I wasn't in a fruity mood, so I got the toasted brown sugar milk tea, and it really just tasted like a normal milk tea to me (but with extra sugar)? The molasses-y flavor of brown sugar was barely there, even at the recommended sweetness level, and I felt the boba was a little over-done and slightly mushy, but it may have been an off day since it was a weekday in a colder season and the shop didn't have many visitors while we were there drinking our tea--higher turnover usually means fresher boba in any boba shop. Overall, a reasonable boba shop if you need to satisfy the craving while in the area. Since I visit Rochester annually to see my husband's family, I figure I will be back again some other year, and I look forward to seeing the Rochester boba scene grow.

I got one of their "Fijian" drinks with lychee jellies, which is like a full proper fruit drink since none of their milk tea options really excited me, and an Oreo smoothie for my boyfriend. Given the construction and complete closure of 2nd St SW, it's a little hard to get to the shop. They do have a parking lot right behind, but even finding the entrance is difficult for first timers. The door is along a little walkway between the front of the store and the construction gates. It's really difficult to see until right in front of it. Walking in, there are two kiosks for easy ordering, although the bobarista is happy to take orders in person as well. Assam Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, Large ($6.49) + Brown Sugar Boba (+$1.25) - The milk tea quality is just how I remembered it - thick body, great malty tea flavor, maybe a little too sweet but not far to saccharine. Really good base drink. The only detractor is way too much ice at less ice. After finishing the drink, slowly sipping, there was still a bunch of ice on the bottom of the cup. The boba here is clearly soaked in brown sugar for a while giving a great mineral flavor that seeps into the milk tea, especially after mixing the drink thoroughly. This additional sugar complements the tea well. The boba itself is nice. I usually expect brown sugar boba to be too far on the mushy side, but this one is almost perfect. The donuts looked so fresh and there was a huge variety. I know some of the reviews on their corn dogs and bubble tea are mixed. I didn't try either. However, I will say that whenever I go to a place, I tend to get what it's most known for. Mochinut is known for their donuts, so I got a 12 pack of donuts to-go. There was no wait when I went. We took them home and they tasted sooo delicious and fresh - on par with mochi donuts I've had in the Twin Cities. Absolutely loved them. My favorite flavors that I've tried so far are the Strawberry and Oreo - but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be getting more in the future.
