I don't think I've ever encountered a dentist who is as kind, responsive and attentive as Dr. Chan. I had a few questions after my daughter's visit and he made time to call me back the same day to discuss them. Everyone is so kind here. Front desk staff (Sophie I think) went ABOVE and beyond to help with insurance issues. Dr. Chan is always kind and genuinely cares about his patients. He even personally did follow up phone calls to my home after I had a root canal revision at another location with an endodontist to make sure I was recovering well! What an amazing experience! It's no secret the dentist is no one's favorite. But the staff was fabulous and friendly. Made sure that I understood exactly what was covered by my insurance and didn't try to get me to do services not covered! Taylor was a doll! I had so much anxiety and stress when I went in for my new patient appointment. Haven't been to the dentist in years and I kept putting it off and off. I finally got the courage and then had a small panic attack in the office. The dental hygienist, I belive her name was Tonya, was so sweet and so calming for me. I don't think I could have gotten through that without her. Dr. Chan was very nice and also understanding and they really took their time to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Chan and his wonderful staff completely eased my fear of going to the dentist. The office was welcoming and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Chan took time to sit with me and get to know me before we even went into the exam room. They did a very thorough examination and discussed all options (with costs) before moving onto the actual dental work. Once they started, they made sure that I was comfortable throughout (they even provided me with a blanket, eye protection and my favorite tv show!) and explained each step along the way. My first visit and I was Immediately greeted with friendly faces and super cute decor. They have snacks and beverages in the waiting room and tvs playing in every room. Not to mention they have 20 polishing flavors! I chose piña colada . Dr. Chan made me feel very comfortable and did a great job cleaning my teeth. I moved to Rowlett in December and was over due for my twice yearly. Apparently, Sweet Dentistry is new in town too and I have to admit, one of the reasons why I went to them was because they had an opening within the week. I've had negative experiences with dentists in the past trying to upsell me on unnecessary services, but that was not the case here and I hope they continue to move in that direction because the last thing I want to feel is pressured when I'm going in for a regular check-up and cleaning. The dental hygienists were nice and Dr. Chan was down to earth and did a good job of cleaning my teeth. I will continue to come here for my regular cleanings if they continue to offer the same service at the quality in which I received for my initial visit. read more

Where do I even begin? This is my first visit with Sweet Family Dentistry. After doing my research and reviews. (I am always checking for these before I purchase a product or visit a business and helps me to determine my decision). Anywho, it's been ages since I last visited a dentist. (Unfortunately). I have always been weary on the pain or the high cost due to having no insurance. I found great reviews for this practice so felt pretty confident about scheduling and booked my appointment with them. Upon arrival, you notice how clean and organized the front lobby is. Good ambiance music and even a mini-fridge with drinks and snacks. I was pleased that I was not required to wear a mask; that if was my decision if I chose to or not. At the front desk I was greeted by Tonya and Taylor. They were both doing an amazing job covering for the front desk person(I didn't get her name). They were very helpful and patient with guiding me on completing the new patient forms. I did not have to wait long before I was checked-in and taken to the back to get x-rays, photos and ready to be checked. I was initially nervous but the staff really helped me by being very informative and caring. They explained everything in detail and help me feel comfortable. Dr Chan was great! Before starting the consult, he sat down and had conversation with me, getting to know his patient asking questions about family, work and in general life and same with him. A somewhat personal but professional connection, not just taking the patient as another random client. Again, my whole experience was great! Tonya, Taylor and Jasmine were awesome! Beautiful ladies and helped me understand my options on my upcoming work and pricing. I have no insurance so they help with patients that do not have insurance with membership. It helps save money which I am very happy about it. Over-all, my experience with Sweet Family Dentistry exceeded my expectations. Thank guys for being honest, caring and informative. I will be back soon for my following appointments and will definitely bring my kids and recommend to family, friends. New patient: Been searching for a new family dentist and wife setup appointment after months of no availability. Excited about having a better dentist office than our previous. New patients appointments are always booked up. Appointment was for 5:50pm, receptionist called wife to confirm appointment at 5:50pm. I leave work early to make the 5:50 appointment. Arrive at the dentist office to find out the Receptionist changed my appointment time to 5:00pm without consent to change and did not send a confirmation of any appointment time changes. Wife stated she never told you to switch the appointment time. Then receptionist says well, I can check to see if we have any other appointment times to accommodate. Great!!! I made plans and arrangements and rushed across town to make my appointment time which you switched because of miscommunication on your part. Was really looking forward to my dental appointment today and was looking forward to having a new family dentist around the corner form our house. Thank you for the inconvenience Mr. Chan/Chen! Cancelled my kids and wife's appointment for the next day as well because you weren't willing to accommodate when I arrived at my actual appointment time. You just lost our business and referrals.
