The office did offer to fix my fillings so I went back and they evened them out and the shooting pain was fixed and I was told there was no additional cost. 7 Months later I received an invoice from them for the filling adjustment saying my insurance did not pay for it even though it was presented to me as a complimentary fix on a poorly executed filling done by them in the first place. They also said the dentist's office never submitted a treatment plan to get the actual coverage prices and total cost. She told me the reason I waited so long was that she was on the phone with my insurance getting the coverage amounts. NOT! DO NOT go here! Unless you agree to their OVER INFLATED $4,000 treatment plan they won't do anything for you. Funny, my previous dentist didn't say I need all this work done. he always said I have pretty teeth. Darn insurance change! I said I couldn't afford the $1,193 deep cleaning so I'd just take the regular cleaning and they wouldn't do it. They said they'd polish my teeth and that's it. I said isn't a regular cleaning better than no cleaning at all and she said yeah, but that's not what the dr recommends, that it wouldn't address the deeper issues I have, supposedly! I said if they'd do the regular cleaning then when I got the money I'd come back for the deeper one and other treatments, but still no. So, I told them I wouldn't be coming back and they just lost a customer and left without the polishing. I have my own electric toothbrush for that. So, two hours were wasted and I didn't even get my teeth cleaned! ARGH!!!

I came in with a loose front crown causing pain. What should have been a straightforward cleaning and consultation turned into a nearly two-hour waste of time. I was left waiting repeatedly, moved between rooms with little communication, and saw a dentist who never introduced himself, seemed annoyed to be there, promised he would return after my cleaning, and never came back. The most frustrating part of the entire experience was the front desk employee who came in afterward. Despite the fact that I had already spent considerable time discussing my situation with both the hygienist and dentist, she spoke to me as if none of those conversations had happened. She insisted on explaining my own treatment plan back to me, gave me incorrect information about insurance coverage, and immediately began pushing me to schedule new crowns. When I explained that I was simply waiting for the dentist to return as promised so he could assess the tooth that was actually causing me pain, she informed me that wasn't possible because he was now in surgery. I then asked if I could see another dentist. Her response was that he was the only dentist available. That answer was honestly shocking considering there are multiple dentists listed by the practice and I've personally seen several different dentists there over the years. Apparently after wasting nearly two hours of my time, my only option was to come back in a week to see the same dentist who had already failed to return when promised. What made it worse was that after all of this, she immediately asked if I wanted to go ahead and book that appointment. I actually laughed because I thought she was joking. I left, sat in my car, called another dental office, and was seen an hour later. The difference was night and day. Professional staff, clear communication, transparent pricing, and a dentist who actually took the time to sit down and speak with me. I ended up moving forward with treatment there because I trusted them. This office has gone downhill. Patients are treated like inconveniences, communication is poor, and promises made in the exam room don't seem to matter. I won't be returning.

The last clinic I went to scared me so badly that I left and never returned. They did not explain anything to me. Just said "you have gum disease" and threw a pamphlet my way advertising the antibacterial injections for the treatment and immediately discussed the money without explaining the issue. I got scared, started crying and left. Mesquite Dental Group was thorough. They have explained everything, every step of the way. They showed me my bone loss on the monitor and explained why its a bad thing and how we will stop it from progressing. They didnt scare me half to death. Upon getting the actual treatment I was terrified, but they kept me calm. Assistants kept asking if I needed a blanket to warm up because of my shaking, they were just concerned I was cold. I would shake my head "no" and by this point the dentist had become well aquainted with me enough to respond "no she's just really scared". The dentist, Dr. Susan George is super sweet, patient and calming. I got five fillings, and a thorough deep cleaning on my teeth and under my gums, and laser treatment to attack the diseased tissue. Michelle Pritchet did the cleaning. Shes amazing and thorough and explained every process to me. I did half yesterday and the other half today. Now I have to keep it maintained with regular visits to the dentist, every three months at first, and then every six months after everything is under control. I will not let anyone else in the world touch my mouth except for the great ladies at Mesquite Dental Group. When the first clinic said I have gum disease, I thought it was a scam or joke because of the lack of meanings and explanation. Turns out it was true. This stuff is no joke. Brush. Floss. This one will break next, followed by that one, and then you'll really be suffering." I deeply regret not taking better care of my teeth when I was younger, but I came to this office because I was in pain and needed professional help--not ridicule or judgment. Instead of treating me with empathy, Dr. Mark made condescending remarks about the condition of my teeth, heightened my anxiety, and did not resolve the pain that brought me there. I already suffered from severe dental anxiety, and this experience reinforced the very fear that a compassionate dental professional should help a patient overcome. Whatever his intention may have been, his manner made me feel ashamed and unwelcome. It remains the dental visit I regret most. I would strongly discourage anyone with dental anxiety--or anyone embarrassed about the condition of their teeth--from visiting this practice.
