cute little shop tucked away in the corner of richardson. with unique flavors (and experimental secret flavors every week) and the traditional flavors every day, this quirky little shop always has something going on (10% for wearing green on st. patty's day, build-a-gingerbread-man workshops, etc). Decent place. I really really loved the Bourbon Vanilla flavor, but the chocolate peanut butter was just so-so. Really nothing you couldn't get from any other place...and this is a straight up ice-cream parlor. No sundaes or toppings. Lady behind the counter was super super nice, and it's family owned so I really wanted to like this place more, but it was just a bit to mediocre and out of the way for a return visit. read more

I was surprised by the high reviews this place got. I guess we just have more ice cream options in New England. There were no "light options". I did have the salted caramel, which was delicious, but was disappointed that they don't have anything other than cups or cones. There are no sundaes, or even sprinkles. As stated by other yelpers, the vanilla bourbon was nice, the ice cream cake does indeed have pieces of cake. The salted caramel needed more salt, we could barely taste it. Mango sorbet i liked. Came here for the first time about 3 weeks ago and I fell in LOOOOVE. This place is amazing and their flavors are SO good, not to mention the place it self is so cute inside. I ordered the salted caramel, my boyfriend ordered the birthday cake and my oh my let me tell you it's to die for. The salted caramel is perfect, not too salty but you can still taste the hint of it with the yummy caramel. Its the perfect combination. The birthday cake was JUST as good. It had actual chunks of white cake and tasted just like a birthday cake however what made us like this so much was that it wasn't TOO sweet so you could actually finish the whole thing. I HIGHLY recommend this place to everybody, I promise you wont be disappointed. read more

Sweet Firefly ice cream is very creamy and good. You can tell there is a high content of cream in their ice cream. So far, the coffee toffee and caramel salted ice creams are winners in my book. They are very open and friendly, letting people sample all the ice cream if you don't know what to get. I will be back to try the other flavors. This is a great place for dessert after dinner at the local restaurants nearby. read more

Such a cute little establishment. My husband has the biggest sweet tooth so we frequently seek out new dessert places to try. Tonight was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We went towards the end of the night so there weren't many other patrons. The staff were all so nice and accommodating. They allowed me to try the various flavors before settling. I ordered the coffee ice cream and my husband had the bourbon vanilla. Both were smooth and creamy. He said his bourbon vanilla tasted more like butterscotch but either way...he dug it. The ice cream is a little pricey but for the quality...I'm not complaining. We'll be back! read more

Really good ice cream! Great consistency, so rich and thick and creamy! I tried bourbon vanilla which was delicious...Oreo, also delicious, and tin roof-the simplicity of tin roof was heavenly! My friend got bourbon vanilla, sea salt caramel (very easily can tell why it's the most popular) and cookie dough, which he thoroughly enjoyed. And can I just say that the service there is lovely! The owner was walkin down the line greeting everyone. The line was really long for it to be half an hour before the place closed. Such a cute little ice cream shop tucked away in Canyon Creek! There are wooden benches outside you can sit at and enjoy your ice cream while people watching. They have the most interesting flavors... I liked every flavor I've tried so far. My favorites are Coffee Toffee Crunch and Pistachio, but they sometimes run out early of their most popular flavors. They also give out free doggie cones to dog owners. Service has always been great. read more

A pretty wide range of flavors and quick service, even when it's crowded. I've had their birthday cake, kooky monster, and coffee flavors and have enjoyed every one of them. The only reason I'm not giving them a full five stars is because they really don't have very much seating available since it's a small, independent place. I go once or twice a month and haven't been disappointed in my ice cream once. BTW there is a pokestop nearby, in case you enjoy that. read more
