I went into Al Nimer Roastery to purchase some spices and sweets for a Christmas basket for my sister. The smell of spices and coffee as I entered the store was wonderful! Hind, the girl behind the counter and the guy ( I didn't get his name) that does all of the roasting of nuts in house took so much time to help me pick out the perfect spices, nuts and sweets! They gave me many samples of nuts and sweets before I decided what to buy. The Roasted Chill Lemon Almonds were delicious. Also the smoked and BBQ nut mixture! When Hind shoved the scoop into the Zataar, you could see by the color underneath how fresh it it! I also purchase the black and yellow dried limes (Loomi). I am very excited to use it with the spices in my next dinner! I couldn't have gotten any better service! My gift basket will be laden with amazing Middle Eastern goodies! Great place to get roasted and flavored almonds. The flavors I got were smoked, barbecue, and lemon. The almonds are fresh and large and very tasty. Also love the dried figs and Turkish delight like the ones you'd find in Istanbul. read more

The shop itself was pretty cool, but they're really cutting corners on the Dubai chocolate. That's what I went in for, so that's the only thing I can review. I saw a previous Yelp review from a week ago on here as well as their TikTok video promoting the Dubai chocolate, and the Dubai chocolate looked great! The Yelp review and video had tons of pistachio filling. I went yesterday to get the chocolate. $10 for a bar, not bad. But then it just went downhill from there. Not sure why they decided to start cutting corners, but the chocolate to pistachio ratio was horrible. There was barely any pistachio filling. All we tasted was the chocolate. Also, the chocolate is supposed to snap when you break it. But this chocolate was so soft that the bar just bends when you try to break it. Needless to say, it was a big disappointment. Traveled an hour and 30 minutes to get the strawberry Dubai cup that I saw on TikTok unfortunately whenever I arrive, they said that they aren't doing those yet so they don't know how I saw that but they plan to do it soon. I was visiting some friends and drove from Austin to come try the viral pistachio chocolate. Upon entering the staff came up to us and asked if we wanted to try any roasted nuts while we waited in line for the chocolate and immediately offered us some of the spicy mix and it was DELICIOUS! She told us we could try others and we tried some of the sour roasted pistachios and ended up getting a pound of them. We also got a little bar of chocolate from another staff member. Overall you can tell the owners/staff want you to enjoy your time while waiting for the chocolate. The line was long but like I said they're so giving that you don't notice how fast the line moves. After seeing multiple videos online about the "viral pistachio chocolate", I had to try it. I did some googling and was delighted I had a shop not even 10 minutes away from me. I went on a Monday (almost near lunchtime), and there was already a slight crowd. When I walked in and asked for the chocolate, and was told a fresh batch was almost ready. I quickly realized that everyone was waiting for the chocolate to be ready. In the meantime, the staff encouraged me to look around and mentioned to sample anything I'd like, using the provided gloves positioned throughout the store. The store is organized and well stocked with various products. I tried some halal gummies, which were tasty. They also have assorted nuts with different flavors (didn't get a chance to try them, but I plan to try some next time). The staff was kind and attentive, and answered any questions I had. It didn't take long for the chocolate to get ready, maybe about 15-20 minutes. But, I sure am glad I waited! I got 1 of the "viral pistachio chocolate" bars and various chocolates. And since I didn't want to just get chocolate, I decided to try some of the Turkish Delights. This was my first time, but I'm glad I decided to give them a try. They're delicious! Sweet, but not overly sweet (I'm not a fan of super sweet things). I got the: Turkish Delight that's chocolate and hazelnut filled, which is covered in marshmallow and pistachio pieces; the Turkish Delight that's pomegranate jelly and pistachio filled, which is covered in zereshk; and the Turkish Delight that's pomegranate jelly and hazelnut filled, which is covered in rose petals. I stumbled across this hole-in-the-wall in the hopes of finding a place to grab coffee. Thinking I can try some turkish coffee, I decided to check this place out. Once I got here, I realized this place is a mini mart, stocked with items imported from Turkey and other middle east countries. Spices, fresh coffee beans, nuts, fresh turkish delights and more! Its unfortunate they don't serve fresh coffee here (hopeully, they do in the future) but you will grind fresh coffee beans for you to purchase and take home.
