After a morning run in Long Beach, I came across this small business that specializes in smoothies, açaí bowls, juices and more! Costumer service was great, especially for a first visit. I tried the Berry Bowl, which includes the following toppings: bananas, strawberries, coconut flakes, and hemp granola! Everything tasted super fresh, not too sweet and the açaí blend itself was 10/10. The indoor space is tiny but clean, with a bathroom for costumers and a few cute outdoor tables. I opted for the Funky Monkey Smoothie (Strawberry, Banana, Pineapple, Spinach, Orange Juice, Agave) in the $8.95 Small Size. There is some cool surf-friendly wall paintings, colorful seating areas (inside and outside), and lots of healthy food and drink options. My smoothie was delicious, with the right amount of sweet. It was blended very well, without chunks or unevenness. Overall, a moderately-priced little juice storefront, with some relaxed and welcoming decor, great team members and some delicious options. Parking out front along Broadway or any of the residential side streets within a quick walk. The bathroom wasn't operational during my visit, however. First time trying this place out and it was great! The three employees were super quick to greet us and to let them know if we had menu questions. They were also friendly and we shared a good chat about some local spots The ambiance is nice, it's small inside with a bench for seating and more tables and chairs outside. The art is cute and looks hand painted which is always cool to see. I got the small Funky Monkey smoothie which was light and refreshing ($8.90), my friend got the peanut butter açai bowl. Service was quick and there was no line the night I came in. I got the chocolate one and my partner got the coconut mango pineapple one. Strangely, they both were pretty much exactly the same except for the chocolate chips in mine. They also tasted exactly the same. I've loved this place for years and have been coming here since they first opened, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. For the past month, my doctor has instructed me to drink a specific juice: beet, watermelon, and ginger. I am pregnant, and this combination supports blood flow. I have ordered this exact drink here many times--often with no issue, and even made by the owner himself. Today, the woman at the register refused to make it unless I added an extra ingredient I did not want. I explained that I've been getting this same juice for weeks. She said she believed me, yet still refused to make it, claiming I needed the owner's approval--who wasn't there. Instead of handling this professionally, she became dismissive and told me I should "just buy a juicer and make it myself," adding that juicers "aren't that expensive." That comment was rude, condescending, and completely inappropriate--especially toward a long-time, pregnant customer following medical guidance. When I asked for her name so I could speak to the owner, she refused to give it. For reference, she is a younger woman with a noticeable birthmark in the center of her face. Until this is addressed by ownership, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This experience was disrespectful and far below the standard I've come to expect from this place. read more

I live extremely close to this place, but have never gone before. I ordered the mangolicious smoothie was extremely tasty and just what I was expecting. My partner got the Dark chocolate Açaí smoothie which he completed hated. I took a sip of it and it tasted like pure grass. Updated to respond to the owner's comment: I'm sorry but you can't seriously expect me to call every single time to check if you're open WITHIN YOUR POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. It's not my job to hunt down every single business to see if they're going to be there in the hours that you yourself posted. Surely you can see the irony in this. Besides, we did call. We called other times, too. The phone is rarely answered. I can't know if you're just busy or gone for the day. And it's not just today. It happened multiple times. I really do like the food but this attitude from the owner that it's somehow the customer's responsibility to verify if you're open is just not right. For food alone I would give this place 5 stars. It's great, you won't regret it. HOWEVER, you just cannot rely on them to be open during posted business hours and that just drives me mad. In the past 30 days twice we came well within their business hours and they were closed. If the owner of this place is reading this, consider this a cry for help from your regular customers (we come every week). You can't open and close on a whim. People rely on you to be open if you say you're going to be open. If you have an emergency then LEAVE A MESSAGE ON YOUR MACHINE. We called - no message, we figured the guy who works there is just busy because that's often the case. If you can't leave a message then post on Social media. There is a million ways you can let people know you won't be there. One was missing granola and the other missing banana, which were both specified on the order. The pineapple was hard and some pieces were super soft.
